I love this product!! It is fun, so easy to use, and provides you with the die cuts you want, period. If you are a multi-crafter (you sew, knit, paint, scrap, whatever), you may not be looking to spend hundreds on an electronic machine. If you are concerned that you would not use the electronic machines enough to make it worth the investment (as I was), this is the machine for you!! It uses die cuts from all of the major manual platforms (I love the Cuttlebug embossing folders! Worked like a charm!), and the accessories are very reasonably priced. It is extremely stable--heavy enough to stay put on your table while using, but is not too heavy to take with you to crops. I would not hesitate to recommend this product to anyone!
I researched die cut machines & pretty much had my mind made up to get one that needed to be hooked to PC. After much thought I realized that i did not want be on the PC while doing my scrapbooking, I would end up checking email ! So I started checking the machines that took all dies & decided on the BIG SHOT. I am so happy I did.
It is soooo easy to use. Basic directions & no cords!!! It went from box to layout in just a matter of minutes. By using the MULTIPURPOSE PLATFORM you can also cut thinner dies.
The roller is so easy... not hard to turn. The machine has enough weight that it does not wiggle when cutting, yet is light enough that it is very portable.
I highly reccommend this! Plus I love the colors :)

I admit, I bought this because the new design was just too cute to pass up. :-) I have used a Cuttle Bug for several years and been happy with it, but decided to treat myself to a Big Shot. I'm so glad I did! It takes up more room on my desk than the Cuttle Bug but it seems like dies and folders just glide through whereas with the Cuttlebug. I had to hold it in place (suction cups no longer work) and really work the crank to get some dies to go through! I also can use an extra thin die I've had for awhile but could never get it to work with my CB, as well as the thick Sizzix dies and over sized ones too. Very happy with my purchase!
I was not a fan of roller machines but decided to try this one out. I love it! It is a great all around machine........I can use all the dies from my other sizzix machine plus the dies too big for my old machines. I love the texture plates and the Multipurpose platform is great for incorporating other dies like the flat ones. The other great thing about this machine is the weight. It is sooo light and the handle on top makes it easy to carry from room to room. I don't know why I did not try this out sooner!
Easy, effective and worth every penny! I was using it within minutes and couldn't be happier. I wouldn't consider myself a "serious" scrapper like many of you, so bear that it mind. I play at scrapbooking for an hour in the evening a couple nights a week and my designs are simple. An electric cutter was overkill for me, but this fits the bill perfectly. However, I do think it would work beautifully for a more serious scrapper; I felt it would grow with me if I become more advanced or more addicted.
I'll admit it. I got this for ONE reason - Texturz. That's it. All. Period.
Now I'm kicking myself for NOT grabbing one sooner. Y'know those Original Sizzix dies? The ones that will do CHIPBOARD, if you press hard enough?
Yeah. Roll. Smoosh. No effort. CUT!
AND, then there's the Texturz...I love love love them. Nice BIG embossing area. Great, crisp impressions. My new favorite thing!
Very satisfied with this product. I have another brand before this one and found it just didn't cut other dies well from other companies so as a result I became frustrated. Did my research and decided on this brand. Consider what your needs are and then decide on the brand that best suites it. So far this model has past all the test projects that I have attempted.
Beautiful design, easy to use, sturdy... almost perfect! The Big Shot saves me so much time. I love making felt and leather brooches and it used to take me hours to draw and cut dozens of circles, ovals and other shapes... Now I'm done in a blink. The only thing that saddens me is that you can't design/make your own dies. Maybe in the future?
I am a big sizzix fan, most of all I truly adore that I can cut such thick materials and this one carries on that & more - my felt and fabric cuts are so smooth! The bigz dies they have for these are so much fun to work with, and so big that your ideas almost have no end! Very great machine to have!

I just received my Big Shot at work. I couldn't wait until I got home so I opened it. Then of course I had to try it out. I used both a die and textured some paper. WOW!! I love it, I have shown everyone that comes into the office. What a neat and simple machine it is. Thanks so much!!!
The Big Shot Machine is very convenient and versatile. It can be used to cut and also to emboss with so many different die cutting and embossing systems. The platform can be changed by flipping a page and accommodating any number of different die cutting and embossing products.
I LOVE my Big Shot starter kit. When you are just starting out, having the option to purchase a cutter that comes with some items is fabulous! I was so excited to use it when it arrived! Because it comes with some paper and cutters you can use it right out of the box!
I've been wanting one for a long time and with the gift certificate I got for my birthday I decided to breakdown an buy it. And I am thrilled I did because it is everything I thought it would be. LOVE it! It arrived in a timely manner and lives up to expectations.
Just received my Big Shot about a week ago. Haven't had much time to do a lot, but what I did do I liked. I had to rush out and get some more dies so that I could up my creativity. Now I just need to work on my library of dies and get to scrapbooking.
I have been using this since I received it, and love love love it!!! I know I will use this maching alot to make all my cards and of course my scrapbooking pages will receive many little gifts from this machine.
I've bee waiting a long time for this machine and it was worth the wait. I absolutely love it and the multi-purpose platform makes everything so easy! Now all I need is to ordered the magnetic platform.
I had a bit of trouble learning how to use this machine in the beginning, but once I figured it out, it is easy to use. I asked someone else who had this machine and she helped me.
I love it!
This is my first experience with a die cut machine. It is great! I'm even able to use my Fiskars embossing plates in it. From what I have tried so far, the Big Shot seems very versatile.
Great product and like that it works with many dies and other major brands dies. Also, very excited to use Tim Holtz dies with it. I like how it has added to my scrapbook possibilities
I have a cuddlebug and now a bigshot
For me I think the bigshot is the one to get,
wider and heavier no questions asked if I would get
another one it would be the bigshot
It took me quite awhile to decide what machine to go with for die cutting. The BigShot was the most recommended and for good reason I love it and it works with all types of dies!
Great product that has cut my flower production time in half! So much easier than punching or fussy cutting out those designs! Super easy to set up and use with great results.

Very sturdy and easy to use. Plus it is super cute sitting out on the table. I don't have many die cuts for this machine yet but plan on getting a bunch in the future.
I never intended to buy one, really I didn't ~ lol
How could I not buy it when I just love Tim's great new dies and already had one of those first??????
I love it.
I love my Big Shot, the colors and the bling add to it's "magicalness" I felt totally empowered as I cranked out bird cages and florals at 3:00 A.M. So easy to use.
I love the Big Shot. I had an electric one and it kept jamming so I finally decided to splurge and get the hand crank so I wouldn't have that problem anymore.
I have only used it a little, but so far I love it. It is so easy to use and not at all hard to turn the crank. I am really glad I bought it.
I am loving my new die cutter! I love that I can use larger paper in it and it is very sturdy! Can't believe it too me so long to get one!
I already have the cricut expression, but the Big Shot is so much fun and easy to use.I realy fell in love with the big-shot.
Great for embossing or die cutting. A bit large for storage unlike the Cuttlebug it doesnt fold up. If you have room its excellent.
I bought this for myself and told my husband, "this is one of my Christmas presents from you". He reimbursed me. Love it.
I love it this is my second Big Shot for me so have 2 now, they do a great job and I use it every day! Mary Marr
great machine have not done everything yet but what I have done it's all good. Even use double card stock.
What can I say, except I am having a blast creating with this sweet machine. Works like a dream.
Love this product. I can cut, emboss and have a great end result. Am really happy with it.
For anyone who loves die cutting, this is a must have item. Very easy to use and fun.
This machine is SO much easier to use than some of the others. I really like it!
This is the perfect machine! So easy to use, very sturdy well made product!
I like the big shot machine because you can do both paper & also fabric ....
My group of scrappers played with machine for 7 hours!!! We love it!
Loving this little machine, can't wait to try it out for quilting.
This is amazing and the multiuse platform makes it so much easier.
I only wish I had known it would be half price this weekend.
Great product...well packed
i love this machine!!!!!!
I love my big shot.
I somehow become confused, being new to crafting, and thought the Big Shot offered by Scrapbook.com for $109.22 -- with shipping included, was somehow including more product to craft with than the one offered at Amazon for $69.00 where shipping was already included. I was WRONG and shared this mistake of my being a 'new crafter' with Scrapbook.com but they seemed to feel no need to provide the comfort of 'adjusting' my purchase cost and the only 'solution' provided by them was for my to return the product, at my expense for shipping, and they would then refund the purchase price minis all shipping charges -- I decided to keep the product as by this time I was so disappointed in my mistake that I just could not handle all that was involved in trying to 'fix' the error of my ways -- I was just so thankful the purchase was not anymore costly than what it was -- there is only so much 'bad' I can feel without it overflowing in tears. Just know the product Amazon provides at $69.00, or was when I was doing my shopping, is the same as this one. I have noticed since my sad 'mistake' Scrapbook.com has lowered the price of the Big Shot they offered and has included what appears a 'bonus' item to enjoy the crafting experience with -- shame they did not feel like sharing this with me and make an adjustment -- but even though I let them know my situation on the purchase and the 'mistake' I made as a 'new crafter' they allowed me to own my mistake. I'm giving five stars for the Big Shot product but a no star for the treatment given to me by Scrapbook.com and have learned my 'mistake' well and will stay with Amazon as they always seem willing to help with the purchases I make. The 'error of my ways' still hurts and that is good as pain is to be avoided and I will not be back to Scrapbook.com with them not willing to 'cut some slack' when they have lowered the price of the product and added a bonus item just after I have made my purchase/mistake with them -- it hurts.
I was really looking forward to getting a die-cutting machine. When the Big Shot arrived, I was put off by the unclear directions on the cutting platform and its tabs. The booklet that comes with the machine is better, but still not as clear as I feel it could be. Not having used a die-cutter before, I felt intimidated. There are several kinds of dies that can be used, so be sure to read the directions very carefully so you are using the cutting platforms and the tabs correctly. Otherwise, the die cuts are really beautiful, and I'm in love with embossing templates. Not sorry I bought it.
I like the flexibility of this product as we have been looking for something that would cut felt shapes and die cuts. this makes a nice clean cut in felt, card stock and scrapbook paper.
I wish the instructions were clearer and more comprehensive, though. This would be my only recommendation.
As this is a Christmas Present I have not used it. I know that my daughter will love it. She has been wanting it for a long time. I was very glad to find it on your web site at a reasonable price!
I like this machine - I had the old ones. I am getting used to the newer design. Not sure if I like the "flip" the page style of the pads....
I am just learning to use it but already like and enjoy it. Opens a whole new world.
I love it.....just wish there were larger diecuts.
Does not include a single die. Makes a nice paper weight without !
I own both the Cuttlebug and the Big Shot. I've had the Big Shot since shortly after it was first released. It's incredibly versatile in that it can use most any manufacturer's non-commercial dies, thick or thin, small or large. All of the manufacturer's cutting plates will fit through the opening, unlike with the Cuttlebug. It can also emboss using embossing folders or brass stencils. Texture plates will fit nicely through this machine, too.
The Big Shot has the a crank action that makes it easy to use as well as quiet. The machine is very sturdy and the base is stable, so it's not difficult to keep the machine steady when working with it. No smooth surface needed since it doesn't require suction to the work surface to hold it in place. It is bigger than the Cuttlebug and requires more space for storage, if that's an issue. However when the Cuttlebug is out and open for use, the amount of space that each takes up in the work area is similar. Their weights are also similar. But the other big plus for using the Big Shot is that it can be used with the multipurpose platform which makes it easy to use all of the dies, folders, stencils, and texture plates that I mentioned earlier--it also has handy diagrams illustrating just how to use them.
I'd highly recommend this machine. It's done everything I've asked it to do over the years and done it well, plus it's still going strong with no issues to speak of. If I could only have one die machine, this would definitely be the one that I'd keep.
After months of researching and mulling over what I'd replace my blue Big Shot with I decided to go back to Ellison's (Sizzix)products. My previous roller device went quickly in a yard sale last fall and regret soon found me. Looking at all the electronic devices out there it seemed the way to progress in my passion. However, all the choices seemed overwhelming and costly.
If you know your style you can find it reflected in the dies available because of the embellishing you give the final die cut; paint, cut out or add on to get a look you own. Ellison (Sizzix) is listening, it seems to me, to its consumer; we like new dies, but nothing too complicated. The Bigz dies alone make this machine worth it.
The textures plates have a learning curve and I am still trying them out. It's a neat idea that I'll incorporate into my projects.
If you are on the fence about what to get for a die cutter consider the Big Shot. If it's not for you, it surely will go quickly in your yard sale to someone who is drooling for a chance to try it.
I LOVE this machine and have ever since I got the "big Kick" as a holiday gift. I know everyone is all into Cricut, but this can cut paper (several at a time-what a time saver!!), chipboard, plastic, thin magnet sheets, and fabric all with the crank of the handle. You can emboss with any company's enbossing plates or even the old fashioned metal stencils with a little sheet of rubber) and use dies from Sizzix, Allstar (from Ellison.com), Quickuts, Wizard (old and new), and Cuttlebug with the universal platform. It is easy, efficient and fun. I have never given up on the Sizzix machine and use it all the time! This machine can even use the Quickuts printing gizmo with the universal platform. If you are thinking of home die cutting, this is the machine! If you do have a problem or question, simply call their toll free number or email them and they will provide excellent customer service. I love this machine and company!!
What an amazing product!! The starter kit was excellent with detailed instructions and extra items to make my journey through this new world of crafting very easy!
I would highly recommend this wonderful and impressive product.
Scrapbook.com is an excellent and very organized website. I am impressed with the professionalism in every aspect. The videos are so helpful...love them!
I will definitely keep returning to Scrapbook.com to buy the items needed for my crafting.

My girlfriend got me started on the Big Shot machine. It is so incredible and easy. I love it. Now my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter and I spend hours making everything with this machine. If a 2 1/2 year old can do it, anyone can. She would rather play with this machine than her toys. I know she will be a scrapbooker and card maker when she grows up. Buy this machine......it's well worth the money and the time spent on it is endless.
i completely love the big shot! i've never owned my own die cut machine until i got a big shot for christmas. i tried other die cut machines and i tell ya what...this is the easiest one i've ever used! no assembling anything...just roll on thru and you've got a die cut! i love easy and fast, and this is just that.
This is the best lil machine in the world. I originally bought the Cricut and nameless other types of machines and FINALLY found my comfort with my Big Shot.
I have found this to be so much more fun and FUNctional!! Youd be crazy to switch!!!!!!
I have always wanted one, but wow!! I never dreamed how much fun it would be. My projects have taken on a new more professional look and I like to watch tutorials on off beat uses for it. Very Fun!
I love the Big Shot machine. I started cardmaking a year ago & this maching is perfect to emboss paper for the cards. I also bought a few swirls for scrapbooking or anything I want them to go to.
It has been my favourite tool, so far. It is so versatile, we have been using it on my pages, cards, school projects,...And there is a good choice of dies reasonable priced.
It's so very nice not to have to use shims to cut anything. It cuts like a dream. I love it! And the price was what I could afford, which makes it even better.
I love the big shot. It works with all my dies and is super easy to use.
I had to order this product from Amazon because scrapbook.com doesn't ship this item to Canada - for unknown reasons. Regardless, this is a great little machine. The Big Shot cuts through paper effortlessly.
After following the directions, and about 10 cuts, I'm already concerned about the clear plates. The plates are much more banged-up than my Cuttlebug plates after years of die-cutting use. I can feel the uneven surface indents and worry about them cracking; I hope this isn't the case.
Overall, for die-cutting I now prefer the Big Shot. Hands down. For embossing, I'll stick with the Cuttlebug.
But I didnt love it I WILL however love the new electric one that just came out. I just bought it online it cuts it for me no more cranking the handle..
lo he visto cuando lo utilisan en los programas de utilisima, y es por eso que me interesaria en adquirir uno con sus correspondiente accesorio.......
I must admit I am changing my review. When I first received the machine, being new to scrapbooking it was very cool to have but after using this only for a couple of weeks the machine quite almost as if it had been stripped. There was not enough pressure to even use an embossing folder. I'm the type who gets very excited about something and have to have it all at once so I have spent in the 60+ days of owning this machine around $600 - $800 in dies, emboss folders, adapters, extra plates, silicone, etc. When my husband opened up the machine he saw the metal that had the gears attached had opened up down the middle. It seems the product had been redesigned as bracers had been placed in other parts to prevent just that. Now...I have soft bones so applying enough pressure to crack that thing isn't even an accidental option or I'd quite literally break bones. The manufacturer refused to honor my warranty so buyer beware. Now I will have to start over with another that will accept my hundreds of dollars of accessories with even more adapters. I'm thinking fiskars fuse.
