I should have had this tool years ago! I got this almost a month ago and it was on sale, after reading the reviews, I thought I would give it a try, and I am glad I did! I have fake nails and trying to open up a brad is not fun. This makes it simple and relieved to have this tool to do the hard (painful) work. I also got the make your own buttons and this helps with making the holes in the buttons to be a little larger and clean. Watch out for the piercer - it's super sharp! Buy this tool - you wont regret it!
As simple as it seems, you won't believe that you didn't have this tool from the moment you ever started using brads. Finally, my fingernails are saved and I can insert brads so much faster. This is truly a necessary tool you need in your stash. And the price is right for my budget. I hope We R Memory Keepers adds more color choices because I want to buy a couple more -- don't be caught with just one if you use brads a lot. I think there's a purple color somewhere out there with my name on it. Buy this tool.
This is an item that I wish I had thought up! What a great idea. I have very short, brittle nails and every time I try to open a brad I end up with it going under my nails, which if you have ever done that HURTS! I have only tried this twice, but I do love it so far. The only slight drawback is that it seems a little too wide to easily slide between the prongs on the brad - I had to give it a little assist. But, this may just be because I am not used to using it yet. Great product for an awesome price:)
Just tried the Brad Setter out today, for the first time. I really like the way such a basic tool, is so fun to have and use. I was putting together an older picture of my Grandfather and myself, when I was about 3 yrs. My Mom just happened to be over and said that I needed something on the ribbon that I outlined the picture with. The Brad Setter was just the thing! The brads added a nice finishing touch to the corners. I rank it as one of the "cool tools", that I have accumulated!
What a novel idea for placing brads. Make your hole with the punch, place the brad in the hole, separate the brad ends with the other end, then just rock the tool and bing your brad is in place.
The punch on one side is so much more user friendly for my Granddaughter than a long punch, and no more brad end pushing up under our fingernails trying to separate them, or bent paper when my Granddaughter tried to place them.
Definitely a very usable and well made product.

I have already recommended this tool to people that have been using brads for a long time. The handle is ingenious!! And who would have ever thought you need a tool to split open a brad. But this tool lays the brad sooo flat. There is an end cap for punch end too. I new to using brads - and this tool makes it a cinch!
This is a great tool, why didn't someone (or I) think of this a long time ago?! It is so easy now to poke a hole for brads and spread them apart, even the tiniest brads. I would highly recommend the Brad Setter. I have one at home and one in my scrapbook bag. GREAT invention!!
I received my Brad Setter/Piercing Tool last week and have used it many times already. I love using brads on my layouts and this tool has been great for placing and closing the brads. The piercer is sharp and goes through several layers of paper and the separater works great.
Now adding brads is easy with this product that is used to pierce the paper then sets the brad. No more searching for the right tool to make a hole just right for a brad. The handle is soft but contoured for easy gripping. Happy Scrappin'
First, my friends laughed at me for my new "toy" - then they tried it, and now everyone wants one! It makes setting & spreading brads SO much easier! Great gift idea for a grab bag or stocking stuffer - Love it, love it, love it!
I don't know how we did brads before this tool. Well yea I do with great pain under out finger nails. Especially the small ones. It feels good in your hand, the piercer is sharp and precise and the opener is wonderful.
I tried to order a similar product somewhere else and it was out of stock. Scrapbook.com was had just what I was looking for. The product was delivered fast. The piecing tool is perfect.
this little tool is so neat. It is easy to use and makes putting brads on your scrapbooking pages and cards alot easier. Everyone should own one. Great little tool for the money

There are many ways to do the same thing that this tool does, but it would not be as efficient. I really like this tool and it works perfectly every time.
Love this tool-so easy to use and is wonderful for spreading brads. Even with my arthritis in my hands it makes it a snap to use brads on my page!!!!
I don't know why someone did not think about this tool a long time ago. It really makes things easier, especially if you have arthritis. I love it!

i like using its save the wear and tear on your fingernails and easy to work with and combable holding too
This product is great especially if you like gadgets like I do. It only takes seconds to set your brad.

I have only had this tool for about a week but I have to tell you it is GREAT! I can't tell you how many times I have stuck a brad prong up under my thumb nail trying to separate them. It HURTS darn it! Thank you for this thoughtful invention. I tell everyone about it and let them try it. I will be ordering more as gifts for a 12 hour crop I am throwing in May. THANKS again!!
Love that this tool is all in one for using brads. Before I had to punch with a safety pin or exact-o knife and then hope that the legs of the brad weren't stuck together. This tool does it all. Easy to use and has a great handle.
Always great to have an additional pokey tool in your to go bag. I ordered 3 - one for me, 2 for friends. Saves splitting your nails trying to get the brads open. Pam

A nice addition to the set
Just okay. You still have to open the ends of the brad a bit to then use the tool's triangular end to flatten it. It would have been better to have a skinnier end to open the brad which can cut you under the nail...
Got this neat little tool on Mother's Day Weekend, it really is the greatest. I'm going to try not to be mad that it went 'On Sale' and I spent $2 more than I could have but, I love it so much. I use it for big brads, mini-brads, specialty brads and other paper piercing where I don't need a punch. I love the hot pink colour and the Cap is a bonus you don't have to worry about poking yourself trying to quickly grab it out of your stash. Highly recommended, very handy, a must have for scrappers.
This tool is a definitely a good one to have in your crafting arsenal.
The piercing tool is great and the entire ergonomic design of the tool allows for easy handling.
It is nice to have the end which helps with the separation and flattening of brads.

Thanks We R! I don't have long fingernails. Every time i try to spread the prongs on brads (which I use all the time) I get pierced under my short nails. OUCH!! thankfully, there is also a paper piercer to make the hole, and on the other side is the genious tool to spread the brad. Amazing. Wish I had this when I was putting a bazillion brads on my Christmas cards last year. I'll be glad to have it for this year's cards.
I actually use this far more frequently for piercing only. I line up my clear ruler on my paper and pierce gently every 1/8 or 1/4" to create teeny holes for hand stitching! It works beautifully and ensures I don't end up ripping the paper trying to shove a needle through it. It is a great tool for setting brads as well, but I tend to do a lot more stitching than I use brads, and this has saved me so many headaches! Fabulous.
I saw this tool advertised several months ago & thought it looked neat, but I wasn't in a rush to order one... I wish I had ordered it months ago! I love it! It opens even the tini-tiny brads perfectly. I also just got the I-Top brad maker, and it opens all my new brads easily! This is a great tool!
I wasn't sure if this was going to be a waste of my money, but my finger tips were greatly appreciative. I scrapbook on the road most times and this little tool goes everywhere with me. Every crop tote should have one of these dandy little tools.
No more poking yourself under your nail when you're trying to spread the back of brads! I love this thing! Its a genius tool! Pierce with one end, stick brad thru, and spread with the other. tada! Completely painless! Love it!
I just bought this tool and man had it made my life so much easier! It is easier to add brads on my LO's and it also helps me hand stitch on my LO's! I love this tool and dont know what I did without it!
This is one tool I wish I had a long time ago. It is so easy to use and works on any size brads. Saves your fingernails and makes setting brads a breeze. It is a staple in my toolbox now.
If you make cards or do scrapbooking this is a must have tool. Makes using brads the easiest task yet.
