Bio: In the spring of 1998, Karen Foster painted her first set of eight themed papers at her kitchen table. Her children packed and shipped all the orders from her garage, which served as a warehouse. The following year, she added stickers to the line as a complement to the papers and continued offering fresh new paper and sticker ideas to the scrapbooking market. With a burgeoning business to manage, Karen enlisted the help of brilliant designers and dedicated employees. In 2005, Imakim, Inc., a private equity company based in Ogden, Utah, acquired Karen Foster Design, Inc. This new partnership provides fantastic opportunities for Karen Foster Design to continue to bring new, original products to the scrapbooking industry. Through the efforts of the Karen Foster Design creative team, the company now offers paper, stickers, rub-ons, overlays, embellishments, albums, tools, idea books and storage solutions. Today, Karen Foster Design, Inc., headquartered in Centerville, Utah, has grown to over 40 employees and is well-known for themed products, quality designs and trend setting ideas.

As a leading manufacturer in the scrapbooking industry, Karen Foster Design has been recognized for unique and creative products. In 2006, Karen Foster Design was awarded two Craftrends Awards of Excellence – receiving top honors in the Organization/Storage category for its innovative SeatcaseTM and in the Scrapbooking Other category for Rub-on Overlays. Karen Foster Design also received honors as the Creating Keepsakes 2006 Readers’ Choice Award winner in the Themed Paper category and as a finalist in the Stickers category.
