I started "modern scrapping" in 8/2005 but made scrapbooks (the old fashioned ways, w/ construction paper & Elmers) long before  "scrapbooking" became a verb.  All my life I kept photo albums & journals, & I always loved art class...scrapping merges all of that into a tasty creative smorgasbord. I'm a legal assistant by day & am married to a wonderful, loving & hilarious man.  Raised in Houston, TX, but I moved to New York City for college & it's been home ever since!  ETA: As of 10/31/10, I am the proud & loving mom of Caruso Seger!  He was born prematurely so we have been learning a lot about preemies but he's strong & growing so we're taking it in stride.  We are so grateful he has joined us in the world!

I mainly do 12x12 event LOs but sometimes do artist trading cards, cards & circle journals. I thrive on Scrap Happenzz Critique Group's Challenges - they help expand my creative horizons so much, I'm eternally grateful for the inspiration my CG provides! I'm usually a chronological scrapper & I don't stress about or mind being 2-3 yrs "behind,"  I'm happy w/ my system! I adore cool new stuff but I don't need the latest & greatest stuff; I love making do w/ my stash. I also love lots of journaling & multiple photos - I've kept writing journals all my life & I find working w/ plenty of photos a preferred & logical challenge - so that's how I usually tell my stories! Lately, I've been into Sketches by Suzy - AWESOME multi-pic 2-page sketches!  I think kits from Club Scrap & Scraptivity rock but these days I'm pondering Studio Calico &/or Label Tulip... My name is a variation of a fave color/old nickname, not a nod to the veg site.

I dig being a part of the DIRTY ROTTEN SCRAPPERS Circle Journal group and a member (former coordinator) for *The Original Scrap Happenzz Critique Group*. I have met many amazing people from just hangin' out here on sb.com!  IRL I scrap w/ some terrific NYC scrappers who I've met on meetup.com. (My sis-in-law has been a scrapper since the early 90's but she lives in SoCal so we've never scrapped together...)
