Bio:
I am an early forty something wife, mom, and grandma! I have three wonderful children and three children of my heart, one of which has given me three wonderful granddaughters!
I've been scrapbooking about 4 years, really just my newest obsession in a long line of crafts. It started with a Christmas gift for dh to document the entire process of restoring our classic boat, and just exploded from there! I have waaaayyyyyy more inspiration than time though!!
When I first joined sb.com I was working nights in a sleep lab. I made a lot of friends on the west coast because they were the only ones who could stay up late enough to chat with me! But I also made friends with a great group of ladies in the midwest and we just recently spent a wonderful weekend at a scrapbooking bed and breakfast near Chicago!
Now I am doing home medical equipment and working days. Which mostly I like, but I miss chatting with my friends. And it is a small growing company and I am a supervisor so I work some odd hours and a little high stress. But some days are quiet working in my home office and some are in my car all day and most I get to switch it up a bit.
I am the luckiest wife in the world because I am married to my soulmate! Yes, there is life and love after scumbags!!! My dh is my best friend and we spend a lot of time together. He is a woodworker, so tool purchases are never a problem...haha. My anniversary present this past year was a Wishblade! He works on classic wooden boats, and builds wonderful woodcrafts. I help him where I can. In the summer we spend a lot of time at the lake and traveling to boat shows, and riding our motorcycle. In the winter we are involved in all of our kids activities. My daughter and granddaughter are in a wonderful youth choir and I am on the board and they keep me busy sometimes! Plus the girls have practice every Saturday morning. And ds has joined the swim team this year. Plus I have two wonderful nieces, one of which plays basketball and just loves it when Aunt Elizabeth comes to see her games!
My biggest goal this year was to finish up a scrapbook for my oldest son. He'll be 21 in December. He has had a variety of medical issues in his life, not the least of which is he has Asperger's syndrome. So although time has been my biggest enemy in getting it done, it also becomes an emotional walk down memory lane. So I really don't know how far through the book I will get before his bd, but I'll try!
