I find rubbing alcohol is a cheap way to clean ink off of work surfaces, hands and even vellum. It is great for removing adhesive smears of your workspace and scissors. It will take Sharpi or permanent ink of any smooth surface. Just remember that it is poisonous if swallowed and must be kept out of reach from children. It is also flammable so don't use your heat gun near it. Instant hand cleaner can also work if you are at a crop.
