Getting Sand to stay put
Submitted by: amcstayusvi
Whenever I use beach sand on a project I whip up a mix of 2/3 white glue and water and paint this mixture over the sand in order to get it to stay in place. (You do have to stick your sand to your object or LO first, but I use full strength white glue for that.) After about 4 coats, the sand won't come off. And even better, it dries clear, so you don't get any sort of tint.
