I found something interesting in the duct work aisle of the hardware store (yes, i look Everywhere for ideas!). It's aluminum tape. Thicker than aluminum foil, it comes on a roll (like tape), is 2" wide and (the best part) it has a peel off adhesive backing!! You get a gazillion yards on a roll and it's about $6!!
I use it to make my own "fake" eyelets for tags, make metal tags to emboss, punch out punchies, do metal "corners" for pictures, and (one of my favorite) make metal "screws" by using a normal round hole punch, and my fingernail to make the groove.
