You not only have to use ribbon, strips of paper, or decorative tape for embellishing. You can also use electrical tape,painters tape, or duct tape. If you don't know this already, electrical tape and painters tape come in a wide variety of colors. I have used this technique when I found myself stuck at home one day with no embellishments to finish up my page. If a plain strip of color isn't your style, you could also draw on the tape with permanent markers or stamp designs on them. For a page of your kids artwork, you could have your kids draw designs on the tape with crayons or markers. This technique is not only personal, it is much cheaper than buying decorative tape all the time. I hope this technique comes in handy for you.
