In the shapes section of Microsoft word, there is an auto shapes button, browse that area. You can create shapes, print them out and use them.

Also, if you click on Word Art at the bottom of Microsoft Word, you can create shapes such as the popular brackets and other things and print them out as well.

I do this, use some lightweight cardboard and make a template so that I will have it later if I need it.
