Here's a journaling shortcut. There's several ways you could do this.
1. If you scrap chronologically, at the end/beginning of the year (assuming your scrapbook are done by years) write a letter to your son/daughter/family about everything that has happened during that time period. The letter should describe your feelings, emotions, family dynamics and interactions during the year. Insert the letter at the appropriate place--either at the beginning or ending of the year depending on your preference.
2. If you scrap by theme, write a letter and include it at the ending of your scrapbook that describes the event/theme of your scrapbook.
This is a great way to journal an entire scrapbook without journaling on every single page!
