I have always stored my floss in numerical order. I was a big time cross stitcher before I discover scrapping in 1997.
Yesterday, I was watching my 4 year old niece who loves to jump on my floatation mattress and she bounced two of my floss storage containers onto my bedroom floor. You should have seen her face when I let out a loud squeal. I thought I’m not putting these in numerical order again. I put them back in their cases in color order. I can’t tell you how nice it was to pick out floss this morning to sew buttons on a layout by looking by color only.
Sometimes the little things in life that seem like a bad thing turn out to be great things.
If you are just starting your floss collection I highly recommend sorting by color and not by number. She has inspired me to reorganize my fibers by color too!
