Easy Fabric Flowers
Submitted by: JaymieLiz
Yep - I am am Sizzix girl, I luv the other die cutting machines, everyone of them has their purpose but I just love cutting felt & fabrics, thin metals etc. For fast, easy, cute fabric flowers, pick your fabric @ the craft store (I always hunt through the remnants bin - you can get such a variety for a really good price)make sure to stay away from those who fray or are too see through(sheer, sateen, silky) a lot (unless you are going for a fringed look in that case those are perfect, or if you intend to sew they are great as well). After you have picked your fabric, find card-stock matching it, attach the card-stock to the fabric (either a light dusting of spray adhesive, or a roll on adhesive (mono or the duck) - make sure to keep it thin; larger sticker makers (Xyron) also work well). I always lay the fabric flat on my surface, spray the card stock then lay it down on the fabric, smoothing it, flipping it over and smoothing it out more where needed. Pick your sizzix flower, I just adore the hello kitty daises with these, but most of the originals or Bigz work well for this, cut as you normally would (I always face my fabric on the die, card stock side up) and presto you have pretty little fabric flowers, you can use as is, layer, embellish - unlimited use!

Another addition to it is stitching the larger petals - you can use the Bazzill in stitch'z - they were perfect! The ones I have listed below worked the best - what a variety for you to have in flowers!
