I've been reading about so many neighbors that don't want to drag out their machines, but love the look of sewing. I learned this technique at a stamping club I belong to.

You'll need a push pin or paper piercer *MM has one in thier kit* and a gel marker (white or black really looks like thread)

Place your cardstock or paper over a mouse pad.

Use the push pin/piercer/needle to poke holes in the sewing design you want. (Evenly spaced holes, or zigzag.)

Then take your gel pen and connect the dots! When the pen dries it really looks like you sewed the paper!
It may take a little practice to get it right, but it is really cute!
