I found this idea here on sb.c - and it's great. I use a different case than used in their example as it hold more.
To store ribbon: roll up shanks of ribbon into little spirals (3-5 yards, depending on thickness). Place each shank of ribbon into a
Cropper Hopper Embellishment Square box. (These come in packs of 12, I think). Take the "tail" of the spiral and pull it just through the side of the top flap of the box. Take all the little bitty boxes and place then inside a
Cropper Hopper Embellishment Case (it holds 90 mini boxes) or a
Cropper Hopper Embellishment Essentials Box (it holds 70something boxes and costs a few dollars more). Tada! Great organized ribbon - and you can see it all through the little boxes and pull and cut without opening anything!
