Finding just the right background paper can sometimes be a challenge. Why not try making your own?

If your layout features one person, consider using the first letter of their first name as the starter for making your own paper. Find the letter (upper and lower case would be interesting) in your favorite rubber stamp alphabet. Now find a pale ink (or use a Versa Mark pad, available at your local stamping store) that coordinates with your color scheme and that won't stand out like a sore thumb on your solid colored paper. Stamp the letter(s) randomly all over the solid paper, making sure that you leave interesting "white space" for balance.

You may need to do several tests to find the combination that you love. Happy stamping!

Note: By using a Versa Mark pad you can make a clear stamped gel image on the colored paper which makes the image just a few shades darker than the paper. The subtle images will not detract from your photos.
