To give a water-like feel to the page, I tore and layered various patterns and shades of blue paper, cardstock, and vellum. To draw attention to the photo on the right page, I layered vellum over the top and bottom of the photo, and drew a border around the photo. The journaling tags were created by cutting a rectangle and trimming off the corners. To help them blend into the page, I layered the same papers on them, and added nested star and circle eyelets. Lastly I placed fiber through the holes on the top of the tags. The journaling is based on the simple lessons of summer, and of the leisure that goes through out life. For example, “soak up the sun,” and “surround yourself with friends.”
