During the holiday craziness we took a break from the Layouts We Love blog feature. But with a new year and fresh projects filling the gallery, we thought it was high time to provide some eye candy! Our team went back through the month of January and grabbed the layouts that caught our collective eye. There were over 2000 layouts added to the gallery over the past few weeks, so this compilation is literally just the tip of the iceberg!
We loved the idea and presentation of Danielle De Konink's retrospective look back on the year with every month documented by a photo all on one layout!
After seeing lots of darker tones during autumn and the beginning of winter, we noticed lots of bright colors in the gallery. The rainbow patterned paper and pops of yellow and red on AllisonLP's layout is a perfect example.
IzzyB shows how to use product to compliment the theme of a layout. The newsprint background paper, the chipboard books, the clock and weekend 3x4 card all help to tell the story.
Sherrifunk's gorgeous combination of soft hues, machine stitching and fabulous elements wowed us all!
Michellewedertz demonstrates that you don't necessarily need themed paper to document a holiday.
RaquelBowman's layout uses small splashes of color on a minimalist white background. The effect is stunning.
Everything about Kim Watson's photo seems to pop off the page!
Ekskou demonstrates that a themed collection can be versatile enough to use for an everyday photo and layout.
We adored Ddobson's combination of stars, photos, die cuts and stamps.
The fun angles of Nixshaus's patterned paper, fun stitching and bright contrasted colors got our attention.
We loved Meghannandrew's concept on this layout. Showcasing someone's loves in small photos as a diagram made us smile.
How cool is it that the stitched triangles on MoniqueLiedtke's layout bring to mind the flags in the photo?
We loved Tarrah McLean's combination of products and how they complement the quilt in the photo.
We were truly inspired by Mommy2blueeyes beautiful layout, heartfelt journaling and the fact that she documented her story.
A lot of scrapbookers struggle with two-page layouts. ReneeZwirek pulls off this one effortlessly. We were impressed by how many photos she was able to include.
Takakomiyake's stunning combination of scrapbooking and mixed media products results in a masterpiece!
We loved how Nancyburke used bits of patterned paper and embellishments that kept her gorgeous photo collage as the central focus of this bright, happy layout.
Yuko Tanaka's layout is literally a breath of fresh air! Who could resist her lovely photo, color combination and embellishments?
Mandalika's pretty layout combines perfect ink splatters, a mixed font title and handwritten journaling to document her goals for the year. What a great idea!
