Pinecone Press book club

I was at my LSS yesterday, and the owner was trying to get me to sign up for a Pinecone Press "Not your Ordinary Book Club" .... club. She said for $20/month you get an idea book, and then you get a scrapbook kit. One of the pages in the book uses the supplies found in the kit. Every month the group gets together to see what members were able to do with the same supplies....

Any of you doing that? Is it a good idea? I want to challenge my creativity, am a little limited with class options in the area where I live.... but am not sure if this is far enough "outside of the box" creatively.

Thoughts?

The LSS that I work at also does this as well.
The kits are really in depth and each month everyone brings what they've done over the last month. The books are great for challenging you!

I've been doing this club for a few mths now & the kits aren't too bad...the books are hit & miss, some issues are better than others.

It is fun to see what everyone does with the same supplies.

Our LSS lets you pay $20 for the first time to go as a guest & check it out & then if you decide to join you get that money off the total owing so you're not out any money.

Look, I understand that you're upset, but pulling up a SIX YEAR OLD THREAD isn't going to make anything better. How about interacting on the forum in a way that doesn't involve telling people how you got screwed by Pinecone Press. What's your favorite thing to scrapbook?

I'd recommend contacting the location it's to be held at to find out if you're allowed to do that before doing it.

try calling your credit card company and telling them you have not received the product. You might have better luck, TBH.

Every one of her posts is about a company that she's had problems with and that's fine but do we need multiple several really old posts saying the same thing.

I would love for her to join in the rest of this forum and have fun.

Egads. This post was from 6 years ago and for the record, I never subscribed. 6 years later I'm actually surprised I ever looked into it. I would never have been happy with this type of class, club, kit. lol. So weird to see a blast from the past.

My apologies to all. I had no idea that everyone on here read practically everything posted! haha I've only just checked back and saw that I created quite an uproar and am very sorry. Just really wanted to make sure nobody else got ripped off. I will delete all my posts.

You don't need to delete them and we do appreciate the heads up but we generally only need the one post next time.

but more than anything we'd love you to stick around and enjoy the rest of the site and maybe not "just" come here to post the bad experiences only. Post some good things as well
