Skintone Paper

I've been wondering what color and brand of paper you would recommend for skintone. I have some great cartridges for my Cricut but have yet to make the "people" type images because I don't know what paper to use.

Several people have mentioned they use bazzill cardstock.

The colour matcher here might suggest some good complimentary shades.

You can use many different shades of cs, as "skintone" encompasses many different colors.

What color specifically are you looking for?

Any to represent various cultures, but everything tends to look too "Peachy" or too "orange" etc. I'm Latina, and my skintone is generally called olive (unless I've been in the sun.)

For example: I have a Tinkerbell cartridge for my Cricut, but need the paper to make proper skintones for the fairies (they are all different, too.)

Where do I find the color matcher?

It is hard to get away from peach tones. A lot of skin tones have a blue base and peach clashes.

I always used to use manila shades, cream/butter to dark coffee. A paper company did use to make acid free versions. I don't know if they still do.

I remember this coming up before, and the thread took a turn...

It would be good to clarify what "skintone" you're talking about. Obviously NOT everyone has 'peach' skin.

I use a light natural beigey color and then use chalks to get the tone I am looking for. You can come up with a shade for just about anybody that way.

This helps a lot. I have some LOs to make for Disneyland, and I want to make some of the princesses that I have pics of/with. I wanted all skin tones so I can make a list of what to stock up on when the paper goes on sale or there is free shipping. I've never used chalks, so that's good to know.
