sound recording buttons?

I saw in the latest issue of Memory Makers where someone had used a little sound recording button to record her son saying words and then put it in his scrapbook. Ryan's just starting to say all sorts of adorable things and I'd really like to do something similar; does anyone know where you can get those things and how much they cost? If you know of a store not online that would be helpful b/c I'm not really allowed to use the credit cards

My friend did that only she took the voice box thing out of a recordable photograph frame....taped her daughter saying one of her more precious lines and then put it into the book.

I can't remember what she used to cover it so you couldn't mess it up but it's still there with the same saying and her daughter is now 10 years old....this was done when she was 4 years old.

They are called Memory Buttons. You might want to check with your LSS, because mine carries them. If they don't have them maybe they could get one for you. They record up to 10 seconds. I really want to get one and record my son singing his ABC's.

You can also get them online I believe.

Yup memory Buttons. I have only seen them online, and they were about $15 i THINK. not 100% on that. Lucky you if you can get them at the LSS.

eesh. $15 for a 10-second recording??? I mean, it's cool but not that cool. I can always have my dad record him on his computer and burn it on a cd; I've made cd pockets for sb pages before. It'd be neater to just push a button and hear him talk but when I think of all I could get for $15---! Well, next time I'm at the LSS I'll have to check it out.

now that's awesome. But I can't afford K&Co's regular albums; I'm pretty sure I couldn't afford that. Money's a little tight around our house right now. Well, we'll figure something out.

Check ebay! there was an auction recently where there was 2 albums = a boat load of stickers etc, for only $50!

Well, $50 right now would be impossible for us to swing. I'm sorry, I don't want to sound like such a whiner. I totally appreciate you pointing me in the right direction and I don't want to sound like I'm shooting down all your help. I think I'm feeling sorry for myself b/c I haven't been able to do any sb shopping since December. Let me tell you, I can't WAIT to get the tax return back!!!

that sounds so cool.......but the whole time i was reading it i was thinking it would be cheaper to just put on CD, and could get a whole bunch on there.....then val said it......and you could even print out a cd label with a pic on it or something. the only problem is that someday we wont be using cds anymore, it will be something else. i would worry about the little buttons battery....you know batteries loose power over time and leak.....plus if it was wore down, where would you buy a new one? i think cd thing is best.....they've been around this long......

hmmm never gave the cd a thought thanks for the tip.. i just recently purchased song buttons they are along the same lines of the memory buttons but play music they have a great selection at my LSS and are rather cheap would that be of any interest to you?? lmk

What about buying a gift card that has a recordable device?
The only problem with that is I think they have a limited number of playbacks, hmmmm....i'll keep thinking though!
