I haveen't canned anything in years and I used to enjoy it. Mostly put up cinnamon apples and peach and apple pie filling, occasionally jams or jellys.
My sister-in-law and I used to sit all evening sometimes just peeling fruit.
My mother makes strawberry preserves still but they are quick and easy and they are made with figs and strawberry gelatin put don't tell my brothers - or anyone else in the family. They all think they are eating strawberry preserves!
