OK, I'm going to try this. Here is a heritage layout I did that got a lot of comments:

I distressed the papers on this one by wetting the edges using a very wet Q-tip. Then using my fingers, I roll it toward the center until I have a very curly and partly torn edge. Then after it dries, using Tim Holtz ' walnut ink, and using an ink pad, I inked the edges all around. The postcard was a digital image printed on parchment paper. For the old-fashioned label, I did an image search on Google for "apple box labels" and found many!! The fabric is Aida cloth with frayed edges. The braided piece was part of an old string belt. And, of course, that red piece at the bottom was clipped from lovely Daisy D's paper! Pretty basic stuff!! Here's a website for labels:
