Here's the Challenge!...

Let's get to work on those recipes! Also, known in some scrapping circles, as 'cookbooking'!

- 3x5/4x6/6x6/8x8/12x12
- single recipe cards
- artist trading cards (ATC's)
- full-page 12x12 layouts
- altered projects (recipe boxes, altered signs, plaques, mini albums, etc!)

At random, I will send 10-12 blank recipe cards to randomly-chosen participants. So, on that note, be sure to stay active & be on the lookout!

There are only 2 rules: #1 Be inspired & #2 Have fun!

Before I even attempt to begin this challenge...

I desperately need to organize, clean up (& eventually, slowly-but-gradually) need to purge/downsize my 'cookbook closet'!

Basically, when we moved in this summer, all I managed to do was unpack the boxes & stuff the books on the shelf any whichway.

On that note, it'll probably take me a good half an hour, but a half an hour much needed!

I'll try & take a before & after pic.

I never want to see the 'before' pic ever again. I miss using my books & am having seperation anxiety from my long-lost recipes!

I need to find & sort through my 'healthy' recipes. I'm going to try my best to stay away from sugar this year!

Disclaimer - However, with that said, I still love baking & have tons of sugary-delightful recipes to bake, share & pass along!

I'm not sure what this challenge is, exactly.

I've been pondering making some family recipe books for my 2 girls. this might fit with that.

What do we do exactly?

Recipe cards...recipe layouts...recipe books/albums/boxes...etc...

In the case of cards, you can write them out by hand...type them out...copy them...print them...even laminate them!

The project, project type & size is completely up to you!

Actually, anything food-inspired will work just fine.

Hope that helps!

It does. Ok. I'll give it a try. It'll be a while before I'm in the swing. I've been really REALLY sick the past couple of weeks.

No hurry, no rush, no worries.

We've got plently of time & plenty of recipes to go around for the rest of the year!

I probably won't get to this one, until I work on the cookbook closet I mentioned from up above!

I have some Valentine-themed recipes, so most likely I'll start with those!

I think I'm going to do my Hoppin John Soup from January 1. It's the first time I've ever fixed it, and I want to have it in a book to do again before I forget.

I think I'm going to maybe do these on 6x6 cardstocks and then put them into a mini-binder maybe. That way it would be easy to do a second one for my younger daughter - she loves to cook. Elder one, not so much.

Well, after printing and running off, I think it's going to work better in a 8.5 x 11 format and album. So ...

I'll be working on this today. I've been thinking about it and I finally have an idea for what I want to do and how I want to do it. :-)

Last night, I pulled put out all of our spices from the spice cabinet.

Making myself a list & chart, so that I know what is what & what taste best with what!

I haven't decided if I will keep it in list format or if I should go ahead and make small individual recipe cards.

I guess we'll have to see!

Is it too late to join this challenge? I've got a bunch of recipes I want to try and those that are my "go to" favorites that I would like to put together in a book. This challenge would help me get motivated.

Well, I finally 'buckled down & cleaned out my 'cookbook closet'!

Yep, it took me all of about 15-20 minutes!

It feels good to open that closet and see that it's organized (aka the way it's suppose to be!)

I'll include my before & after photo this week.

And also, I'm hoping to start work on both my cards & a long overdue, wooden altered project!

Thanks, I want to create cook books for myself and my daughter. Maybe my son too since he's starting to put his toe into cooking. That didn't sound as much work in my head but now that I'm typing it . . . Well, anyway I'll work on at least one.

Sorry ladies if I've been away. I've mainly been shopping & organizing my space.

The good news is, I'm finally completely organized & know where everything is (after having moved), which will allow mw to sit down & truly give some attention to this challenge!

Maybe if I'm lucky, I'll even be able to make some extra cards as Mother's Day gifts!

I apologize for not posting sooner.

I believe I fell off the radar sometime around St. Patrick's Day/Easter.

The good news, I am returning with yet even more food photos, recipes & holiday traditions that I need to scrap!
