I know I saw it here before but now I can't find the thread. Some people were talking about warehouse sales for different manufacturers but most of them are not doing it anymore. Well, just received an e-mail from a blog that I belong to and they mentioned a huge warehouse sale @ PiggyTales worth over $60 for only $14.99 of brand new items never sold online or in stores.

I figured let me share as someone maybe interested!

Thanks! I ordered two boxes—they're supposed to be different. Shipping for the two was $8.50, so as long as it arrives, it's a great deal. (I'm figuring it will arrive...I've just never done business with the company before, so always a bit leery.)~Judy

Oh em gee!!! And here I was trying to forget that the holidays will be upon us in a hot minute.

Anyone else slightly disgusted that Hobby Lobby has a full on Christmas section already? Usually it starts around Halloween, but it's not even Labor Day yet! Where's the fainting smiley?

I guess I can understand craft stores gearing up for Christmas since crafters are probably working on cards and gifts (like I should be), but my son got married at the end of Aug., 1998. My bff & I went gift shopping at Macy's, I think it was, probably at the beginning of August. We walk through the entryway into housewares and hear this awful singing and "jolly" laughing. It was one of those motion-activated Santas that irritate me during the holidays. In the middle of summer...that's just so wrong~Judy

Angie -- I was dismayed to see Christmas stuff out at the Dollar Tree!

As Judy said, I can sort of understand a craft store... people need time to create holiday things.

I think stores should just keep year-round shelves for ALL holidays! In March you could buy Halloween stuff or November get St. Patrick's Day items...

Sounds like a good idea, but out here in SoCal land is so expensive that most of our stores are pretty small (compared to those I've seen across the US). They do good to have current stuff on the shelves and by the time they want to add all the food, there's not much room left for everyday things.

I do think craft stores should have at least some supplies for every holiday since most of us work on books at all times of the year. In the summer of 2011 I was going crazy trying to find Christmas pp. Our J's, Mike's had nothing and even the sb store didn't have much. All the scrappers must have bought it all out :>)

No no, at hobby lobby they totally have one whole aisle both sides of boxed ornaments, as well as the themed housewares stuff there, and I think they were getting ready to put up the trees.

I always wonder when the economists say "it's been a bad holiday year". Stores shove the holidays at us way too early (other than needed crafts), encourage us to shop early, then expect us all to spend the same traditional amount of money that used to be spent mostly between Thanksgiving and Christmas. With kids & grandkids, we spread our shopping through the year and shop sales (especially online sales), but then we can't spend a whole holiday allowance in December also. The economists need to update to current buying habits.JMHO ~Judy

I already PMd you this morning, but I sent piggy tales another not-so-nice e-mail, but still haven't heard back from them. I guess I'll have to call them, but I really hate phones. I'd almost rather let them keep my money. It's been more than 30 days since the money was charged to my visa, but I don't want to deal with visa either. Too much stuff to do. I'll play like Annie and just keep singing, "Tomorrow...tomorrow...perchance my piggy tales will come tomorrow". Nah, probably not~ ~Judy

I guess my obnoxious e-mail got results. My message topic was Irate Customer and I asked if anyone worked there who could read. I guess they do. I got an apology e-mail back this evening, saying my e-mails had gone into Junk Mail. Hopefully she'll look and see what other customers have sent mail.

I ordered twice, but the second time only one box showed up on my receipt instead of the two that I had in my cart. It was a bummer because shipping is a flat $8.50. I wouldn't have placed the second order for that much shipping.

Anyway, she's combining my order and reimbursing my second shipping. Well, she reimbursed $7.50 instead of $8.50, but I'm going to be happy :>) Later tonight I got a notice that it has shipped. They're located in Vegas, so it shouldn't take long for it to get to San Diego.~Judy

OMG...I felt terrible that this is happening since I'm the one who posted originally. Anyway, looking through my e-mails I found some info that Piggy Tales sent me for the warehouse sale. I'll posted here...maybe that helps!

Ms. Cris, I did get mine but seems like these type of business are going 'round like the plague. My latest nightmare was with Oh My Crafts, Inc. I had to file a complaint with BBB and FTC and never got my Silhouette Cameo. I'm so depressed after that, I don't even want to do anything craft related. These shady businesses should be thrown on a fire pit and burn 'till is nothing left. They don't understand how frustrated and aggravating this is and playing with people's hard earned money is not cool!!

I'd give PiggyTales the benefit of the doubt except I know I'm not the only one who didn't have orders filled. I could even understand one order getting misplaced or something...but I ordered twice! I sent two or three previous e-mails, all to the same e-mail address as the one that finally got her attention, so I don't know why it didn't go into the Junk Inbox also.

I'm dumb enough...if I like what is in the shipment, I might find myself ordering a couple more boxes, but keeping a close eye on the order.

My final e-mail wasn't over-the-top obnoxious, but not the way I'd normally write someone. If "Irate Customer" and the mention of contacting my visa card company did the trick, I guess that's what counts :>) I'll let you all know when the boxes finally show up. If it went out in this morning's mail, I should get it tomorrow or Monday.~Judy

i sent a second email today and still no response. i dont know what to do now. maybe i should call them...uggh..hate to do that.

judy, please let us know when you receive your boxes. there is a comment on their blog (only 1) talking about after weeks of waiting for the package that the excitement quickly faded when she opened the box.

gigi.. i have heard things about oh my crafts.. especially when the cameo first came out. ppl ordered them and had to wait for 2 months or more for OMC to finally ship it. but other ppl have said the place is great and order from them all the time. i dont know what to think!

Did you send the e-mail to [email protected]? The woman who finally responded was named Debbie, so if you call, you might try asking for her. I hate telephones so I was very happy that I didn't have to call. She shorted me a dollar on the reimbursement, but it's worth not making a phone call :>) Good luck. ~Judy

They may be good for small items but for big tickets items especially the Cameo, they're a completely ripoff...I waited 2 months, they kept changing the shipping date with lies after lies blaming it on Silhouette America. I left a message on Silhouette's customer service on a Friday and by Monday first thing in the morning they called me back and let me know that this wasn't the first incident and OMC have the tendency not to pay the manufacturer on time which lead to the mess.

You know what's more ironic? Heather, OMC's customer service manager wrote me on an e-mail that I was a liar (literally!) and that she would forward my e-mails and messages to the owner which will be following up with me on this matter....Well, 3 weeks later and after she viciously cancelled my order, I still have no Cameo and no words from the owner or herself. Jeez, I wonder who's the liar now?

I would always say, that a company who cares for their consumers and good service goes a loooonnnnggg way!!

Oh My Crafts was booted from ebay for a while there.

I had them as a saved seller along with many others and I always put a little note like shipping supplies, jolees and such so I know why I saved that seller.

The not I had by oh my crafts was "duplicate listing violator"

They would have thousands of auctions up of the same things like 800 sizzix big shots. So along with the duplicate listing violation I bet they violated the search and browse manipulation rules as well.

Cause if you looked for a sizzix big shot after seeing hundreds of the same auction from them on purpose so other sellers had no chance of being seen.

They don't have god awful feedback but the bad feedback they do have is mainly for selling items they don't have.I think alot of the feedback has kind of dropped off when they got in trouble.

Now they are down to about 130 auctions instead of thousand. They are still selling scrapbook stuff, and fabric and christmas crackers?

many times, if I have ordered something (not just scrapbook stuff) and it is an "abnormally" long time or I've gotten frustrated with repeated calls (2 that come to mind are Roberts Crafts and K & Co), I have just jumped on the Facebook train and posted a short, sweet but somewhat impatient post on their public wall....gets their attention EVERY time! My hard earned $ keeps them in business and as a SAHM on a budget, I give you 300 days to make it right, then after that, fuggetaboutit!

I looked on facebook yesterday about it and they have their page set so you can't make any new posts and that you can only comment on one of their posts and they don't post much but I did notice a couple people commenting on their posts about not getting items. You can at least send them a fb message.

This was one post

Just want to update. After my panicked post on tuesday, I did hear from the company, and get my stuff!!!! They apparently had some computer and sad family issues, but all is well now!!! In these tough times we need to support our favorite companies, but i just felt I needed to warn other shoppers. Good luck Piggy Tales!!!!!

I couldn't find her origional post though so either she or they deleted it.

Thanks for the info but I couldn't even find them on eBay. In the past, I've ordered pp and whatnot from them but never again. I even unsubscribe from their newsletter. That's how frustrated and upset I am with the whole experience. Done with OMC!!!

Just a quick note...I'm in the middle of a bunch of other things, but hubby just brought in a PiggyTales box. I haven't looked through everything yet, but it might be worth the $14.99 I paid for each pkg., but definitely not the $60 worth of stuff it's supposed to be. I got two see-through packs (like sb packs their paper) and without opening them, I can see maybe half-inch of paper, maybe 25-30 plain-looking buttons, 3 pieces of ribbon and a little card of junky alphies, that I'll probably throw away in each pkg. One pkg. has a few non-adhesive rhinestones. The other pkg. has maybe 7 or 8 of the same blah-colored daisy flower...the kind you usually put several pieces together, but these are all the same size, and 1 sheet of rub-ons. The 1st pkg. also has maybe 10 pearl brads mixed in with the buttons.

I had placed a second order of 2 pkgs. for my daughter, but that order went through for 1 pkg.

Debbie said she'd reimburse me the shipping for the 2nd order (reimbursed $7.50 instead of the $8.50 I paid) and she'd combine the orders. Well, my box has two pkgs. in it, so I'll wait and see if another box arrives tomorrow...then try to get 'hold of her again since I should have a total of 3 pkgs.

No wonder she doesn't respond to customers...she doesn't want to hear the complaints! PiggyTales is a wholesale seller. Maybe they treat companies better than they do the lowly warehouse-sale retail customers.

Later I'll go through the paper and see what quality it is. The two pieces I can see look OK~Judy

OMG I wanted so badly to order from them cause I was on a roll with that pink paislee warehouse sale but I was broke when they posted the warehouse sale for piggy tales and plus I was just really unfamiliar with this company so i'm glad I didn't place an order.

I know everyone has emergencies, computer or family but if you want to keep your customers your do what it takes to keep you customers happy like maybe adding a little extra to the boxes or refunding a little. Cause this bad word of mouth is gonna hurt them.

I so wanted to post on their fb page that I had several friends here on sb.com that have repeatedly tried to contact them because they still hadn't rec'd their warehouse orders.

I can't wait for like a prima, bobunny warehouse sale! lol

What did you get in your pkg.?—about what I did?

When they talk about getting a box of items worth $60 I guess I expected each order to be a box about the size of what I received today...but it was for 2 "boxes" of items and it wasn't that full. On their FB page they show monthly kits, but I didn't get anywhere near what they show in those kits and I sure didn't get $120 worth of merchandise, like they claim it should be.~Judy

so i finally heard back from piggytales today. it was a shipping notification that they sent it today. no words or anything to go with it..like an apology or an excuse. the last line of the email stated
"PLEASE NOTE THAT WHEN A CUSTOMER ORDERS MORE THAN ONE KIT WE WILL COMBINE AS MANY KITS AS POSSIBLE INTO ONE BOX." sooo.. we shall see what i get! judy..did you get another package or was that supposed to be all 3 in one?

Ms. Cris/Ms. Judy,

Please let me know what you guys get. Since I sent her an email stating that I posted in here and a few people ordered from them. She was quickly to reply to me and said she was grateful for that. I'll definitely follow-up and let her know how disappointed we all are. Let's see how long it will take her to reply then (I bet is not going to be that quickly this time around!!).

I've been busy and haven't messed with them except for sending the same e-mail each day. I just sent it to a couple other addresses, but I could only find three addresses. Hopefully someone, somewhere will take the time to actually read it and send my remaining package...or refund my money, which would be better since what I received was probably not worth the $14.99, let alone $60. I haven't even opened the clear pkg. yet. Just doesn't look inviting. I can see the worthless "embellishments" and the paper looks OK, but not worth opening the pkg. :>) ~Judy

so i received my package today. it was the same thing as what you got judy. the paper is fine..about 1/2 inch stack (ill count them later) and the same cheesy little embellishments. big big disappointment! i would highly recommend never ordering from them!

thanks everyone for the taking the time to respond!

I finally opened my two packs today. They might be worth the $14.99 each, but not with the $8.50 shipping that's added on to each order—and definitely NOT $60 each!

One of my packs is the Wise Old Owl collection and the other is the Hickory Dickory Dock collection. Each pack has 10 different double-sided papers w/three of each design. Each pack also has 3 sheets of journaling blocks, 3 sheets of tags and 3 sheets of "designs" which I guess can be cut-out and used for embellishments. With some stickles, embossing powder or spray they might work~

Both packs had plain-looking buttons. One pkg. had pearl brads that I actually kind of like, plus some rhinestones, which I'll use. The other pkg. had a few flower layers and a sheet of ugly rub-ons. Both pkgs. had 3 pieces of ribbon, but it's obvious there's not much there, plus a little page of ugly alphie-stickers that will most likely go in the trash.

Out of about 10 e-mails I've gotten 1 response and that's when this pkg. was sent. Unfortunately they still owe me 1 pkg. I wish they'd just give me a refund.

For my total of $45 (not counting shipping of $8.50), I wish I had ordered some Bo Bunny paper. The Cider-whatever collection keeps calling to me, but since I went on a spending binge this week, I have to stay out of the stores :>) ~Judy

judy..thats exactly what i got! the buttons in both packages were exactly the same colors. i definitely would not have bought this stuff if i had known better. i tried to use the rubons today and they totally suck! they are not even in a package (almost like they came from someone's stash). i do like the paper..thank goodness i liked something out of that mess. sheesh. i cant see how they can stay in business !

Looking at their site, I like a lot of their paper, but they are a wholesale site. No stores anywhere in our area carry their stuff. I'm assuming they must treat their wholesale customers better than they do the retail warehouse-clearance shoppers. On their site, their papers seem expensive considering they don't have glitz or anything on thing.~Judy

I just messaged Echo Park and BoBunny, two of my fav BIG companies to see if they do warehouse sales online.

They are so well known like Prima and Pink Paislee that I think they'd be awsome to order from.

Yikes after typing in piggy tales bbb I found this on THEIR own blog:

I too have ordered 3 of the bargain boxes. Debit card charges. No response from them. I have written E-mails 3 times to no avail. Sure wish they would get it together. I am ready to dispute the charges as well. Certainly not made of money, I feel like we have just paid for their vacation.

I too have been trying to get an answer as to where my "bargin" box is. I ordered it on July 12 and to date I have received nothing, sent numerous e-mails and no one will get back to me. I obviously will have to contact my credit card company to make sure no charges have been put through. What a SCAM ...... I don' know what you people think you are doing but looks like I need to make a call to the better business bureau to report you.

i too ordered @ boxes. charged on 7/12/11 and still no boxes. the reciept e-mailed to me said i would be billed upon shipment of my order, even the usps is not this slow. my order was my only b-day gift, we as many others in this economy are budgeted very tightly. so here i am, birthday passed, and STILL no gift. i know this is a small company so i am hoping they have just had unexpected issues arrise and we will see our boxes soon. i really can't afford to just go out and buy stuff so i was VERY excited to have had my hubby find such a great deal for my b-day. but it's turning out not so great as i had no gifts for my b-day and whats worse hubby thinks its his fault because it was all we could afford.

Sorry for the delay in shipping your orders! With the birth of our new baby some of the orders were delayed in getting shipped out. All orders have now been shipped. If you have any questions please email us at [email protected] Thanks!

I finally got notice today that another package has been shipped, so I'm assuming that will be my third pkg. that was supposedly shipped with my other two. No apology or explanation, but at least it's supposedly shipped.~Judy

I've now gotten an apology, plus more refund of shipping. For some reason they never seem to get the e-mail that is sent to the e-mail address they give. I finally sent an e-mail to their academy, whatever that is, but I think she finally saw that e-mail. Of course I sent it last week and just got it taken care of today, but the pkg. should arrive sometime this week, then I can put piggytales in my Problems Solved folder :>)~Judy

Yyyyayy, Ms. Judy. At least something positive after the turmoil. Now, cross piggytales off your list like I did with Oh My Craft, Inc.!
