Scraps! I dig in my scrap piles and make almost all of my cards (except for multiples like Christmas cards) completely out of scraps. It's a great way to use up those little scraps and I'm a pack rat so I keep them all!
I love using prismacolors and gamsol! It's such a nice way to color stuff, and I love how it blends!
What is gamsol?
Gamsol is the name brand, but they are odorless mineral spirits.
First you color your image with your prismas, then you use a blending stump to pick up some Gamsol (I use a piece of felt to soak up some gamsol then just roll my stump on the felt), then start blending away! I love the way it looks!
Layering paper. I don't have any tips or special techniques BUT I do stamp the back of all my cards w/a flip flop stamp since I'm coo coo over flip flops. It's become by signature then I put my initials and date over the flip flop stamp.
I went to an all day long card making class. It's not a regular kind of class. This 1 is only once a month and it's not 4 beginners. I finally was introduced to heat embossing OMGosh, I've found another thing 2 get addicted 2. I absolutely loved it! This heat embossing stuff is soooo awesome, now I can understand why it's a favorite technique for many people. And I didn't realize just how easy it is to do.
I tried the new eyelet setting tool from Karen Foster and really hated it Who ever designed this tool wasn't thinking. U need to use 3 blocks just to set 1 eyelet and it takes to much time. I'll stick to the Clikit. Seems as though we can't get around the noise except for the Crop O Dile but that one is limited on where u can place eyelets.
Card making is just as addicting as doing LO's and altered projects.
