Man this would be something I would say to my DH. When he starts talking about my cooking, I always make the comment it looks like he hasn't done without a meal lately.

I did see the smaller ones at mine. But not the 12x12. I don't think they went well in my area. Were you able to get get to the M's and J's in my area? Did you get to J's to get the Christmas Stacks?

Would you order the Rock Star Stack online? I know my lls has it on their site for around $26 and they show it still being in stock. I don't know if that helps or not but you can pm me for the link if you want.

I used up about 10 sheets of my Christmas stack! If I use 30 more sheets or so from different DCWV stacks, I can go buy another stack!

Went to J's a couple days ago and I didn't see it.

I need to use some of the stuff (ok, a lot of the stuff) I already have. I didn't realize just how much I have until dd and I were scrapping this past week.

I have only seen it in the mags. That is a good question. However, since they just had their Spring Stack come out, it should be sometime soon. Because Summer should come out sometime in June.

I don't care for the spring stack as much as I thought I was going to. I love the cardstock one. The colors are really bright. However, I still have cardstock from last years, and some of the colors are maybe a shade or two different. But I am glad they added purple.

Hey Tink, how was the training yesterday. I hooked Tink up with a friend, whom I met from here, to train to do demo for Fiskars . Cutting circles by hand, with a Fiskars tool, isn't really up my alley, that is why I have a Cricut. LOL. Jenni is a good person, and I wanted to help her out. The time she trained me, she was to have 7 or 8 and it ended up with two. I know there was to be 6 yesterday. I hope everyone showed up.

Jenni, did a invit to a crop next weekend in Fremont. Don't know if I will go. Have you ever been to one. I hear they are fun. And you get back most of the money to pay as a fee. This one is $50.00. I know Jenni goes to one, and I believe it is there, that supports Breast Cancer. She says the place is real customer friendly

I looked at DCWV site and the butterflies if for this years. However, they did not show what is coming for summer, fall, or winter.

But also, I looked at all of their paper and they are not showing Rock Star. They may not be making it anymore. Sorry.

Should be. But one of the LSS told me three weeks ago she was at one of the show order something from DCWV and hadn't gotten it yet. I would think places like J's would get it first, because their orders are really big.

So... I totally said that you were blink, Tink... I meant to say that you were blind! I'm so lame!!! But in all fairness you knew how late it was when I wrote that. haha...

I loved the Spring Stack! I just did a really cool LO with one of the pages. I'll post it soon. But I really like bright colors so I'm a fan of anything like that.

Yeah, I know summer is gonna come out in a couple months and spring is on it's way out so I hope they release it soon!

Tivi, YAY for your family's winnings!

I'm waiting for the B&B stack to come out. I checked out the link and they said it ships mid-March. Well, it's end-March and where is it???

*EDIT UPDATE: I checked the link again and it says:
3/28/08 - BLOSSOMS & BUTTERFLIES WILL BE AVAILABLE 1ST OR 2ND WEEK OF APRIL

YAY! At least we have some sort of closer time-line.

I went into my J's to look and see what they had for stacks. They had everything I already had that I wanted, so I got smug and thought "I can get out of here without spending any money, yea, me!" And then I saw the cuttlekids dies on clearance for $3 a set...I bought all of them.

On the flip side, since I bought them for my business, they're a business expense and contribute to a bigger refund next year!

My J's doesn't have cuttlekids. But M's was clearing them out for the same price. I was really mad, because they didn't have the duck or cat. And I already had the dog. I love the dog.

I guess the butterfly stack as came out. I just got a email for a company saying they had it in stock. However, I will wait until J's has it and get it with a 40% off or $9.99. I didn't recevie a J's flyer this time. Was really mad, but I got a email from them with the 40% coupon. I can print away!!! LOL

Alright ladies, we have seriously jumped the shark on this thread. I nominate Scrappin B to be Fonzie, Jenny can be Potsie, and, since I'm a redhead, I will be Ritchie. OH, and Megan will have to be the shark....
Ready, set, JUMP!!!

I was in my LSS tonight and I was picking up some two scoops paper and they had the DCWV's Pet Stacks at the desk. I made a comment about how cute the paper was. How I just loved it. The owner said she just didn't have the smaller packs, had I seen the 12X12 paper. I had to tell her I already had one. That I was using it for a book for my lab. She said what great paper colors for labs. I didn't want to tell her I had had it for over a month, and I got it for $9.99 at J's. I like to support LSS places, but not to pay full price for something I know I can get for less. She had just gotten her shipment in.

bah! If they're as pop culture literate as you and I are, they'll recognize it as being from Top Chef.

Speaking of Pop Culture, you might find this kind of funny. One of my best customers is a day care teacher. One of her asistant teachers was looking through the music collection and came across something by Paul Anka. The Assistant exclaimed: "Oh, Paul Anka really exists! I thought he was just Lorelei's dog on Gilmore Girls!"

Well now, apparently they need to start making The Happy Days stack!!!! We could do wonders with that!! haha...

OMG wouldn't that be cool if they did like a Classic TV Stack or something... with like the pink teal and black color scheme and b/w prints of scenes from old TV shows and stuff?!

That would be cool!!! And WAY original. They'd have the market on it... for a short time anyway.

Sadly, it would be cost prohibitive for them to do screen shots of the old tv shows, but it would be cool to have a stack with 45s on it and other stuff.

true... there's still a lot they could do though. Look how carefully they were able to get around paying Disney royalties with their OUAT stack. That thing is SO Disney it's not even funny... but nothing is blatantly "Disney" either... kwim?

I don't find it very Disney-ish at all. I do a lot of ren faires, and a lot of what's in the OUaT stack matches things that I see for sale/on display at the faires. If the colors were a little brighter and snappier, I would consider it more along the lines of Disney.

Interesting...

i just think that a lot of the pages are pretty darn close to a lot of disney movies... which, granted, a lot of the disney movies, especially the older ones, are from fairy tales that are not from disney in origin... but still...i'm just sayin'.

Oh, I just never thought of it like that. Fairy tales and Disney in this house means the Princesses in all their Technicolor glory - bright pinks, purples, teals and yellow. DD is 7 and heavily into the Princesses (Especially Belle), so my mind has a preconcived notion of what the color scheme should and shouldn't inclde.

Dude! This is such a dope idea. I don't even care if they couldn't really do it. It would just be a bangin' idea! That would make for some pretty cool LO's... We should talk to one of those old souvenir/movie shops (Tink - have you been to the one is Old Sac by the Candy Shop??). They could tap into the scrapping market. They already have with embellies!!! hahahaha...

Good imagination, sisser!

B - you need to get with the program!!!
JCI - Just checking in
MMS - Marking my spot
ACU - All caught up

I apologize in advance to all I will offend, but these DRIVE ME NUTS!!!! Pages and pages of JCI, MMS, and ACU make me go berserk! I stopped looking for things in certain threads for this very reason (mostly the sticky threads that are at the top of each of the boards).
If that starts happening on this thread... well, no more DCWV, and you know what that means, ladies!
Don't flame me, I apologized in advance.

I'm a pretty fast typer so it doesn't bother me to have to type stuff out.

Anyway. Thanks for the info.

Have a great day everyone!!

I was out in your area yesterday, and nothing new. Even at my LSS in Berkeley, they just got the ones that had been a J's for the past months.

But I did org. my paper last night. What a mess it was, and I was surprised that I didn't have a much as I thought I did. Like I don't have a lot of printed red paper, but a zillion tan cardstock. LOL I also did the same with my scraps. All the red/pinks together ect. I got hanging file folder that were color. So all the family related color cardstock is together, and same for the printed paper. Then if I need a scrap, I know where to go. I had paper from one in of the house to the other.

However, I would not do that with my DCWV Paper. I don't know why.

Oh me either Jackie!!! I don't know what it is about DCWV stacks that I keep them all together even if I rip them apart. My DCWV stays all together and then I have a completely seperate organizer for paper that I buy by the sheet.

I'm totaly weird when it comes to my DCWV paper. It's crazy.

I bought a lot of the stacks, especially when I first started. I now have a ton of extra papers, but that means I always have a variety to choose from. I am also a hand-picker, especially when I have something specific in mind. I go through all my papers about twice a year and weed out the ones I don't think I'll use. Then I either put them in a scrap garage sale or donate them to my local school for art classes.

All of those products are fantastic! I love the scalloped edges and the glitter and jewel tones are perfect for making embellies and stuff!! Not to mention. You can use the back piece of chipboard on the rick-rack and scalloped stacks as a template to get that edge on other pieces of pp.

I have seen the scalloped paper, it nice. But I have a Cricut Expression and I can do that. So I don't need it.

I wan to see the Jewel. But I have the glitter in a 4x6 and it's great to embellish. So I am glad they have come out with the larger one.

We are all looking for the Butterflies Stack. It was to be out this month. However, all we have seen it is online. I hope M's or J's has it soon.

Love all my stacks!!!
The glitter ones make very pretty dragonflies with my cricut. And I use them for matting 'dress up' pics. I put a piece of vellum with hearts on it over the reddish glitter sheet in DS's wedding album (his colors with red and black).
Love the jewel tones!! Good for almost any LO for me.

I've never seen any of those IRL, only online. Would love to see the glitter stack and jewel tone stack.

I'm another one waiting on the butterflies and blossoms.

That's a terrific idea (& just my kind of thinking!)...Also, p.s. if you'll believe it, that's basically all the reasoning that I'll need just to talk me into going out and buying it! Haha! LOL!
