I probably have had more problems with adhesives than any other single sb item. I use several, different ones for different applications. ATG gun for large areas, Xyron 510 & X for letters, Adtech roller and Terrifically Tacky Tape if I want to stick something heavy.
though I do like my vario tabs - though I don't use the roller feature - still beats peeling all those blue tabs reminds me I need a refill....
I have the blue one, would love to have a green one, but not enough to buy a new one lol
also in stock at my house....
had gotten the Therm O Web - Memory Tape Runner XL - Dispenser - Permanent because at the time the store was out of Tombo w refills and I had a coupon.... was pretty good though, sticks good but I am used to the Tombo w and I like it - I'll refill it if I run out of Tombo w but it's a little different, so you know how change is
I also have a Xyron 500 (just the sticker maker) though I really don't use it often - though I like it
I've been through them all- Therm-O-Web , Tombo w, Kokuyo , Herma , adtech (wal-mart) and duck. All had some problem or other. Duck was good but very expensive. Tombo w is good and cheaper, but gunks up sometimes as it comes out. Herma gunked and wouldn't come out at all. Adtech doesn't dispense well period. Therm-O-Web has feeding problems toward the ends of refills. Kokuyo dot 'n roller leaves crease lines on either side of the adhesive unless you use just the right pressure and angle. I love the Kokuyo tape 'n roller, but refills are so expensive!
And then I borrowed my mom's ATG gun (which she hates) from her framing shop, and I was hooked. She had the 1/2" one which she gave me, and then I got the 1/4" one because I like the smaller strips, and after mom saw how much I loved it she wanted to give hers another try. I LOVE the ATG. No feeding problems, no having to refill all the time, and a 36 yard refill is $3.00 on average!!! It holds really, really well, too. It's the new love of my scrap room.
For smaller items I still use the tape 'n roller, but I go through refills far less frequently because most of the time I use the ATG. And I use Glue Dots for small and/or heavy embellishments. Oh, and Glue Lines are great for when I want to make my own "bling lines" like the ones you can buy prepackaged. I just lay down a glue line and line up inexpensive rhinestones on it.
My absolute fav is Fabritac because it is so easy since it is liquid...it is the only liquid that will not warp your paper at all ...the only one I have tried them all...and since it is not a scrap product it is so cheap. I get the huge bottle from Jo's with my coupon and it last forever. I use this on almost everything and always on paper to paper bond ....
pics get Duck brand..
Zots is the glue dot I use. I have not had good luck with the other glue dot brands being sticky enough.
