I have been using the Tombo w tape runner for a while now, but the refills I had bought in bulk are almost used up. I've been somewhat happy with them, except that the tape doesn't always lay edge to edge, and it's not as smooth once you get about halfway into the roll.

So my question to you is... Is there a tape runner that you love so much you are loyal to it? Are there any that you would recommend to avoid?

TIA for your help and advise!

My favorite is the Herma Vario . I roll the tabs onto my finger first and then place them where I want them.

I just discovered Glue Dots . LOVE THEM!! I also love my xyron X for small things. I've tried a couple of tape runners but just don't like them so I stick to these.

I love tape runners too! Glue is not my friend... any type or brand. I use Dotto and love it!

I used to use mono Tombo but found that over time objects became loose. So I used up what I had and invested in an ATG....might be pricey up front but it is so worth it and there is so much adhesive per roll that it is so worth it! wonder why it took me so long!

I really like my Herma Dotto , but I still have trouble with the refills! LOL! I have a Tombo w too but I don't care for that as much. I use double sided tape too depending on what kind of mood I'm in! I might be adhesive addicted, hard to say for sure!

I love my ATG 714. I used to use a Tombo but now it is my ATG or Glue Dots only.

I've been using the Mono Adhesive for over a year. I really like it although sometimes it does get kinda stupid right in the middle of the cartridge. I also started using xyron 's adhesive roller but the refills don't last that long.

I'm seriously considering an ATG, but can't afford it at this point.

I also purchased the new Glue Dots on a roller. That's kinda neat.

I'm a former Tombo w user now converted to ATG. I really highly recommend it.

I'm old school to but I don't use a glue stick. Well, I always have one on hand to hold down vellum while I attach brads or eyelets. If I use a thin layer it doesn't show through the vellum. I like the Elmers Craft Bond glue stick. It's the big blue one with the orange cap. It's sold in the scrap dept.

But my favorist adhesive for the majority of my scrapping are the photo tabs with the little blue papers that go flying everywhere. I buy Fiskars brand at Walmart, though I found out last week that when they revamped their SB dept. again they replaced them with Scotch brand. I hope they work as well because I've been a diehard Fiskars adhesive girl for years. I also like glue pens - Sailor is my favorite but I usually end up with the ZIG pen which doesn't flow as well IMO. I also love, love, love that tacky tape stuff - it's a red roll of double sided tape. It's super sticky and works great for ribbon and stuff. And let's not forget Glue Dots . Walmart carries them now!

I'm a devoted Tombo user, myself. Just bought the 6-pk of refills last week. I have a variety of adhesive in my stash, but for paper/photos, Tombo is my favorite (never tried the ATG though).

I don't like anything you have to peel a backing off of... I'll use those pop dot thingies for effect, and I like my Glue Dots for certain things.

I have been using an inexpensive glue runner that I got at a discount store and love it. I bought a xyron glue runner and was TOTALLY angry about it. The glue tape cartridge thingys broke almost immediately. I went through 4 of them within minutes. I got so angry that anyone would charge for such a bad product. Thanks for letting me vent! LOL

I use Glue Dots , xyron 900, xyron X, 3M 2 way glue pen, pop up dots, etc. They each serve their purpose, but none are good for large areas all the time. I'm now seriously considering the ATG 714. If anyone knows of a great deal on them, I would really appreciate a PM with the tip. Thank everyone so far for your valuable input. You are why I don't go a day without coming here.

I use the Tombo tape runners. I have never had any problems with them.
I also use the Tombo Aqua for heavier stuff.. like chipboard and gems. I'm still waiting for the superstore to carry the Aqua. It's only available at a couple places around here, so it would be nice to have it in the superstore.

I use the ATG also. I was going through adhesive so often so I finally bought this. It was expensive initially but it was totally worth it. The roll lasts for such a long time!

love love love my ATG gun.....

Glue Dots come in a roller - gotta order me some of those

I also have the xyron X, 250, and 510 that I break out for certain projects

but mainly the atg - I justified the initial cost with the firt 4 rolls of adhesive. After that you can't beat the price no matter what you use.

I am partial to Tombo w and the new tape runner that Creative Memories makes. I also use Glue Dots , Herma tabs and my xyron .

My least favorite type of adhesive would be glue sticks because they are so messy to use.

LOVE: Adtech (CHEAP) glue runner - this is really really strong stuff! And a little over $2 for TWO refills!
mini Glue Dots - use for ANYTHING 3-D - really strong stuff again!
xyron - just so convenient for smaller/thinner things

DON'T love: Herma Dotto - the refills never roll for me - ever - as soon as you get halfway through the roll
Herma tabs - love the concept and ease of it, but my stuff ends up falling off my pages after a few months!
glue sticks - again, my stuff falls off my pages after a few months!

I use the adtech adhesive runner from walmart. It's cheap, rolls on easily, and is sticky as all get out. I noticed the other day that they had a new dots runner-- nto like a Glue Dots runner, but with dots on the strip instead of just a line of tape. I've seen a lot of tape runners with this sort of style, and I can't figure out the difference... but since those refulls are fully stocked, I sure hope they fit my regular runner!

Tombo w is way too expensive for me. It's like $4 a refill or something. Adtech refills are $2.27 for TWO. Definitely affordable. Even the runner itself is only $3.50 or something. I go through tape so fast-- I tape run everything, considering its stickiness is second only to Glue Dots , and I can easily go through a pack of refills (two) in a weekend.

I love to use my xyron X, xyron 250 and xyron Tape runner, however I will be trying out some new double sided tape next weekend.

Also want to try out pop dots (I think that's what they are called).
