Rosita--I lived in Horse Shoe most of my life! How neat! Small world! I live in Flat Rock now. South of Horse Shoe and about 20-30 mins of Tryon, where Wendy lives.

So how is everyone doing this afternoon? We're just hanging out, watchng the KC Chiefs get spanked, yet, again. It's just so sad.

We had a great time yesterday at the firing range. It was me, my hubby and our son. It's been a long time since he hung out with us at all, never mind having his company all day!! Of course he had get a friend fix last night..lol.

I'm planning to do a layout tomorrow for our little challenge here.

Hope everyone has a great evening!!

Sure, mine is Aug 29.

My dd has a problem listening to daddy ... she just turned 2.5 but he's been such a pushover that she reallllly takes advantage of it. It's getting to be a problem so he's had to start being strict this past week. She doesn't like it.

Just today, I gave her trouble and she went up to her daddy and said "daddy, mommy gave me trouble!" as if he was going to make it all better by giving ME trouble for daring to give her trouble ... did you all follow that?!

I'll give you ladies a bit of info about myself and then I'm off to bed ... I have one dd and been married to my dh for 11 years (we got married young). I started "real" scrapping as I call it in January of last year - nothing before January 08 counts in my book!

I just recently started digi scrapping - in Sep/Oct of this year. I LOVE digi but also really love paper. Been doing a bit of cards too, which is also a new thing. So I try and do all 3!

Alrighty, I should go up to bed ... !

Night all!

Hi everyone!!!

So I guess I'm the newbie. I think I'm going to follow Jill's lead and introduce myself a bit.

So... My name is Gentry. Lots of people call me Gen-- so it's whatever you prefer. I am technology challenged-- which is why I love scrapbooking so much. I'm more of a craftsy person I guess? I finally made my hubby help me download some of my los today. I got through 2.5 and got annoyed/frustrated, so I stopped. I've decided I'm going to try to add 1 or 2 new ones each day until my "to be uploaded" pile is gone. I will be 25 on Dec 6th. I am a Texas girl with no accent. My hubby is in the army and we are stationed in NC. I really miss home. We have been best friends for almost 13 years, dating off and on for almost 10 years, and married for almost 3. He has been deployed 4 times, and he got home in April from a 15 monther. Crazy stuff.

Well I really look forward to getting to know everyone and i'm gonna try to start browsing yalls galleries tonight! Thanks for letting me join your group!!!

Welcome everyone!! Ya'll are making me miss NC sooo much! I went to college at GWU in Shelby, so I totally know Gastonia and have 1 friend who lives there! 1 Charlotte, and like 4 or 5 in Shelby. You think Gastonia is big!?? Girl, puh-leez...I live in what I call urban suburban hell. Its practically Detroit city, baby! (D-town is not fun like Chi-town or NY city) But then again, its MI and whole state is in crisis mode! Nobody can go 2 min without talking about the economy, housing market, Big 3 (autos) or the umemployed and uninsured. I tried to sell my house for 2 years so I could move back to NC or N'ville, but nothing. Boooooo. It is what it is unfortunately. I'm supposed to feel blessed I still have a job and a mortgage...I'd rather not work but I do still want insurance and shelter, ya know?!! Enough Debbie Downer

Gen-I'm soooo glad to hear that your husband is home with you! Deployed 4x, huh? I know no one in the military but think of them often and thank them anytime I can!

Gonna try and get my "entry" of the stamping LO this week!

Take care!!

This is one of my recent ones. Its a scraplift so I can't take creative credit. The "my" is stamps but I used brush markers instead of ink. Would that count? I think I can do better, so this is not my "entry" (I don't think ;)) I keep forgetting that I can post LO here too!!

It's OK Erika. The only thing you forgot to do was to choose "IMG Code" instead of "HTML Code". I did that the first time, so I can tell you what went wrong.

I guess I should introduce myself too. My name is Betsye Rose ________. (Last name eliminated for security) I have 2 children, dd 13 and ds 11. Dd is a cheerleader, and ds is in scouts. It's not often I do a page not about them. I've been widowed for almost 11 years. Not dating anyone. This last year, I've lost 110 pounds by changing eating end exercising habits. I started scrapping 3 years ago to earn a scout leader's patch. Most of my los so far have been for the scouting albums.

My dd will tell anyone willing to listen that I am OBSESSED with scrapbooking.

OK...please, the rest of you can share info about yourself too!!! I appreciate you girls sharing something about yourselves! It makes it so much easier to get to know you all and almost everyone here is new so there is a lot of "getting to know you" stuff going on!!

I will share too...I am a mother to three adults and a grandmother to a sweet but strong willed, little boy who will be 4 next month! He is usually who I scarp about!! he makes a perfect subject! My middle son and my daughter (mother to grandson) live with us at the present. It's nice but it has it's trying times too!! I have a wonderful, supporting husband who was in the Navy for 26 years and just recently retired from it.
He is now working in Ill. while we live in Wisc. so he has to drive almost two hours both ways each day...needless to say we will be moving after the winter!! I love both digi and paper scrapping and photography.
I am so glad that you all have decided to join, it has been me, Stacey, Sue and Erin by ourselves here for a while but the other's don't check in very often...but when they can!

For the newer ones, I did start a challenge of doing a LO using some kind of stamping technique on it...so if you would like to join in please post the LO here by Dec. 8th I did day I would put the participants in a hat, draw out a winner and send a small Rak. So there is the insentive!!

They can be cards too so Rose if you want you can enter one of your cards.

I look forward to your LO and please feel free to share any new work here also!

Congrats Rose! That's fantastic! I'm still holding on to the 40 lbs I gained when I was pregnant with Zander. I keep telling myself I'll start a diet and excercise program soon, but with a new baby...LOL!

Gen- LOL! Thanks! He'll be 6 months on the 29th. I can't believe how much he's grown! I look back at pictures of him when we first brought him home from the hospital and he doesn't even look like the same baby (that might be because he had more hair then lol)!

soccer ...sigh...
I have consented for ds to play soccer as long as the financial aid is approved. I so do not need another activity to add to my calendar, and to add to the scrapbook pages I'm behind on. But if it works out, so be it. His life will be richer for it, and so will mine.

Yeah!! Soccer!! Its all I do during the week at night, 3-5x week! (Jill, I hear ya on the late times. We sometimes have 1130pm games). Of course when they're that late, I sometimes skip! I still love it believe it or not. Its mostly the old lady leagues (Over 30s) but to keep up with my level and competitiveness I still play one night with the Open ladies too! They're mostly around 25 yo sometimes 19 yo. Whew! Its getting much harder to chase those girls around! Thats how I ended up in NC! I knew I wanted to go to college down south somewhere and since I got a scholarship....the rest is history!!

Ok, so my life story...
I'm the loser that has never been married and never been preggers. And I'm way over 30. Whatev.
Thats why you'll see alot of my doggy Titus. Sorry! No nieces, no nephews, no friends with kids here in MI.
Its agonizing not knowing if it EVER will happen. But whatev...I do what I want, go where I want, and spend as much on scrap cr*p as I want!! I am dating someone currently.
This isn't how I planned things believe me! But had I married the boys I was madly in love with years ago, I'd be divorced and maybe in jail for murder. Catch my drift?? I live in Michigan, I hate winter, hate working but my job is okay. I'm a Physical Therapy Assistant in the am and High School Athletic Trainer in the pm. If you ever watch sports and a player gets hurt and some person runs out there with a fanny pack on to check on them...thats me , only at a high school. So the hours are odd and my life is not my own from August-June. I'm a Patriot (our mascot) during that time.
I'm a talker, if you can't tell by the winded posts all the time!! Um...what else? I guess I'm not very interesting. Bummer. You guys have sooo much stimuli in your lives-its AWESOME!!
Maybe one day soon for me too!! If ya want more you can check my blog for that Tagged entry if ya have the time/interest!!

Oh hon, you are to interesting. We all have something about us that makes us interesting. Some people would say I am boring. My son doesn't play sports, anymore. My hubby and I usually spend our evenings watching tv and surfing on our computers. If we are up past 10:30 on a Friday or Satuday Night we've a had a wild night!! And no, we are not that old either, we are both 45ish. So what if you are not married that does not make you a loser. At least you knew better than to marry some dodo head from high school. You'll meet your soulmate when the time is right.

Yeah, I am pretty much obsessed! I play a minimum of 4 nights per week (in the summer, I play division 1 - which is A LOT of 18 year olds!) and there are 2 mandatory practices plus I have 2 game nights.

In the winter, I play in 3 leagues. I am super competitive with it and love playing it! I think I am on about 3 or 4 spares list and I never say no - even to the late games!

Wow Erika! That doesn't sound boring at all! I find it quite interesting. Although I've never really been that into sports (please don't hit me!). That might be because I grew up with just woman.

Well here's my story (shortened of course!):

I'll skip the first 20 years for content. LOL! I used to work at Walmart, which was the longest I ever kept a job. Walmart is where I met my husband. Wendy (wendyrenee on here) introduced me to him.

She thought I would get along well with her husband's twin brother. Well, we got along so well that after a month we were engaged and after another month had passed we were married! Zander was born 9 months later.

I quit my job when I was about 8 months pregnant and I'm currently still a stay-at-home mom. I love my life and my family which is one of the first things people learn when they talk to me. And that is what I try to incorprate into my scrapbooking!

Sorry, I didn't mean to write a book. LOL!

Wow, you got married quickly ... I remember when I started dating dh (we went to high school together, he was 4 years older than me so I knew him for a few years but we weren't friends or anything, he was too old! ) ... anyway, we started dating and within 3 weeks he told me he loved me, I knew it too and by Christmas (which was only about 5 weeks from when we started dating), I knew I was going to marry him. We were very young, still in school etc so we waited a couple of years. We've now been together for ... oh wow, I missed our dating anniversary .. 14 years.

It's great when you know right away!

Erika-- Just so you know your life sounds pretty good to me. So many of my friends are getting DIVORCED right now (at 24/25/26) because they got married wayyyyy to early to the wrongggggg guy. So it does NOT make you a loser for not settling. On a lighter note--I was a trainer for 2 years in hs!!! I danced and played soccer as well-- but both out of the school. My sister had thought about going into it professionally for a while-- but ended up teaching instead. She was a much better trainer than I was. lol. I also used to nanny for a professional trainer to the Dallas Stars (hockey team).

Jill- hope your surgery went well. I hateee oral surgery!!! ugh. No fun!

Tiffany- Wow.... that was a whirl wind romance huh? I have a friend that married her hubby 2 weeks after they met!! 5 years and 2 kids later... they are very much in love. I guess that goes to show when it's right it's right! Thats awesome that you are getting to be a SAHM with your little man!

Jane-- I have family coming in tomorrow. I guess that means I really need to get off here and start cleaning my house!! hahahaa. I won't be around much either until next week.

Kim-- you made me lol. 10:30 wild weekend! hehehehehe. My hubby is like that sometimes b/c he has to go to work soooo early in the mornings, but not me.... i'm a night owl!

And Rose-- You'll be very happy that you let your son play soccer. I lovedddd it soooo much growing up. I bet he will too! And you'll love watching him.

ACU.... i'll pop back in tonight. Hope everyone has a fabulous Tuesday!

I remember when I was in my late teens and early 20's, I'd party all night - Me and my friends we'd stay until the bar was closed, go have breakfast, I'd go home crash for a couple or hours, gte up go to work for 8 hours and then do it all over again!! Geez, what WAS I thinking!!!

Then my wonderful, now hubby, came back into my life and all that craziness stopped. Which was a good thing. DH and I, as he puts it, dated and hated in high school. I actually met him when I was in 8th grade and dating his best friend. They were in 9th grade. After I broke up with the friend, we started going out, I guess about 2 years. Then 4 years after I got out of high school we got back together and 22 years later, here we are!!

Yeah!!

I finally gave up my Div 1 Open team this summer. They let me be on the bottom of roster, which was nice, but they said I didn't need to show up (and I was okay with it, LOL!!) I did do a couple summer tourneys with them and had a blast even though we got our butts kicked!! I had a really hard time initial "crossing over" to the O30s at first. Its mostly 40+ (I mean no offense to anyone, age is a relative thing, right?!) soccer moms who decided to try a little exercise, so the level of competition is not quite there. And then with the Open, its like I totally know what I'm doing its just a little slower than 10-15 years ago. "Slower and smarter" is what I always say!! So for a few years I felt very much in the middle and out of place. Now, I have sooo much fun with the O30 gals because I have made such awesome freinds and everyone is sooo fun and laid back. It makes for a nice night of exercise!! And then at least one night with the Open premiere gals for indoor to keep me sane!

Hope your surgery goes well and recovery is fast for ya! Will you only be able to eat soft foods like ice cream for awhile?? BONUS!!!

BTW-you gals our sooo sweet. So supportive! I'm just going thru a rough patch with my personal life and I guess its beginning to be reflected in my writings. Little on the negative nelly side. Just gotta keep steering straight ahead and plod along.

Have a very wonderful Thanksgiving!!

I'm switching from division 1 too for this next season ... we have competitive division 1 through 4 and then rec 1 through 7 here with at least 8-10 teams in each division. Plus there are 3 other leagues, including 2 30+ (we also have a 40+ and a 50+). I just don't want the 2 mandatory practices ... I'm getting too old for it!

The surgery went well ... I'm now at home on painkillers!

Erika, you are definitely NOT a loser! No way, no how!

Jill, glad to hear you came through surgery OK. Enjoy eating what you can.

I'm actually interested in hearing about other's love stories, too! I haven't got around to scrapping my "love story" album yet cuz I know I want to put a lot into it! But I am doing a little something for my husband for his birthday (it's five days after Christmas). I can't wait to put it on here!

Jill- I'm glad to hear that your sugery went well! And that frozen yogurt that you were talking about sounds really good! Darn my sweet tooth! Hope the pain killers are working well!

Kim- I love the fact that your love story turned out so well! I can't wait to look back in twenty-plus years from now! That's awesome!

Rose-God does have a plan for you and I know it's going to be a good one! Keep your chin up!

Well, goodnight all! I think I'm going to get off of here now. And sorry for the emoticons, had to use them, I don't use them that much. LOL!

Thanks girls!

I have not scrapped my love story! We've been married for 11 years, I got married when I was 21.
I think I've only done one or two layouts of us ... oh sorry, I have done 2 of our wedding and maybe one other one? I have to get on that!

I just feel like there is SO much that I need to scrap and that I will NEVER ever catch up?! That's one of the reasons I started digi's ... I can pump them out pretty quickly!!

One hour and thirty five minutes til I can take another painkiller!

Jill - I'm sorry, I must have missed the post about your surgery. Glad it turned out okay, and frozen yogurt - Yum!

I've scrapped "Our Lovestory" I don't really have a wedding album, because we were married in Spain at the courthouse. I never wanted a large wedding, even as a little girl. Just say a I do and do it!!

biscuits and gravy .... hmmm .... all i get is ice cream, yogurt, soup ...
GOOD thing I don't live in the States with Thanksgiving and all!

Well I just woke up, it's almost 11am ... can't remember that last time I slept so late?! It's really awesome being a lazy bum!

I think I'm going to go and scrap.

So ladies - are you working on any special gifts for Christmas?!

This is my list:
a) made my aunt a Family Bo Bunny word album (you can see it here: http://scrapbook.com/galleries/223479/view /1726609/3/0/...

b) a heritage album for the same aunt (yes, she is getting TOTALLY spoiled!). I went over my budget by like 300% for her! (digital)

c) a wedding album for my sil (digital)

d) an album for my dh of a bunch of random things - some childhood school pics (he doesn't have ANY childhood pics), his mom's wedding photos (both his parents have passed), some of him and dd ...

And I was contemplating making my mom a little mini-album of dd.

So who else bit off more than they can chew?!

hey, does anyone know if we can use paint with our stamping?? Or does it have to be ink?? I was brainstorming the other night and came up with a possible idea but it would involve my larger foam letter stamps and paint. Does that count??

Just wondering.

I think they make paint for scrapbooking. I know they do, I used some at my LSS one time, can't remember the brand though.

If you use paint on your foam stamps, it might stain them though? I personally don't care about that but some people do.

Jill-I'm making a Bo Bunny word album too! The one that says I YOU. That's what my dh's bday gift is! Those thingys are so neat!

I'm going to get started on my stamp project either later today or tomorrow, depending on how Zander's naps go. He's got a cold, stuffy nose and a cough. He doesn't sleep very long when he's sick. I'm going to call the doc in a bit cuz he just sounds pitiful!

Just stopping by for a quick check in...so glad to see you all chatting and getting to know each other!

Jill, sure hope your feeling better, or at least that the pain pills are working!!

Erika, if you are asking if you can stamp with paint instead of ink for the challenge the answer is "yes" ... sounds great to me!!
Also to answer your question about the group name it came from "scrapperlicious" Irene. dont' know if you know her but if you don't you should check out her talents here.... scrapperlicious gallery
any how she started this group and others...they are all named after the wonders of the world..the Sphinx, Ayers Rock, Parthenon, the Stonehenge group, Taj Mahal, Eiffel Tower, The Forbidden City, and The Giza group I think that's all of them. She found different ladies to run them all but she is the one responsible for starting them...some times we all get together and do a challenge or something. Since I have been on board we have all joined to do a ATC swap..that's Artist Trading Cards, for those of you who don't know. She also heads a The WOW (wonders of the world) group for all the leaders of the different groups I named. Pretty cool huh?? She is just one creative person!!

Oh one more thing...My love story started by marrying my high school sweet heart. He played on the basketball and football teams and I was a cheerleader!! go figure!!!
I was 20 and he was 18 when we got married...and not because we had to either like some people thought. We didn't have our first child until we were married for two years! any way that is my story!

Have a great day ladies and don't eat too much tomorrow!

Best Dream By Elombardo19

Regarding the stamping-yep, wondering about the challenge. I've used paints before, either arcylic or Making Memories acrylic paints. Its just a thought anyway!!

Regarding the name-Ooooooh Thats so cool!! I see the other groups in the list. I might have to check out her gallery sometime. I don't know how you gals do more than 1 group, whew!...way to go!!

It was mostly "what was I thinking" colors and cheaper, thinner papers that weren't really cardstock. Its all organized by colors/shades, looks so neat. Plus now I kinda know what I NEED (ya right!) to buy next time!! I am pretty darn good at using what I got.
Next up: patterned paper s!! (ooooo!! )

Um....no. And now I feel crappy. And even though I have curbside recycling, I'm ULTRA lazy and throw everything out.

When I purge my pp's, I'll think of something else to do with them! Thanks for the idea. Reuse, repurpose, recycle!!

Jane-That is really neat about how the group name came about! I was actually wondering about that too!

Jill-Yeah they are a lot of fun! I got the one that came with all the pp and embellishments. If I finish it early it's going to take all my strength to not give it to him before his bday!

Great lo Erika!

I'm up cooking the dressing...and tempted to wake up dd because she didn't load the dishwasher when I told her to last night. hmmm...I'll tell her it was my Thanksgiving present to her.

Okay so I have been known to be a very anal recycler .... like recycling the tiniest pieces of paper - drives DH mad. Anyway, in my scrap room, I am horrible at NOT recycling. That's probably where I have the biggest problem. I just need a BIG recycle bin in there!

Anyway, I went through a bunch of my old stuff and Rose is right, we should consider donating it. What about to a daycare?! They would LOVE that stuff! I gave old books to my dd's daycare and they were SO happy ... and craft supplies would be so extremely appreciated!

Another option would be a middle or high school. Some of them actually have scrapbook clubs for kids or parents as an enrichment program.

Happy day after over eat day!!! I hope everyone had a great day. I ate too much! Actually, I did okay with dinner, but then I had a slice of pie and that, well, that put me over the comfort zone!! But it was sooooo good. I actually made the pie this year, including the crust. Hubby cooked the turkey, he put a can filled with wine in the cavity and then stuffed some onions in there, MAN!! was that one tender awesome bird!!

My gosh, Kim! Sounds yummy!! We had gone over to my moms cousins new condo(gorgeous btw, so jealous), and it was very good-quite the spread! The only sad part is we didn't get to leave with any leftovers! One of my fav. things!! Oh well, there will be Christmas yummies soon!!

As far as organized pps', I had done it like 4-5 years ago and put them in subjects like: flowers, striped, polka dots, seasonal, doggy, sport, etc...But now I'm thinking colors and shades again. Who knows, maybe I'll just keep it the same but just clean up the messes that I have laying around all over!! Lol!!!

Have you gals finished your stamping challenge??!!

I can't believe I don't have my Christmas tree up. I usually put it up the day after Thanksgiving. It's my favorite time of year. But I wasn't even here yesterday. Today I'll clean and then I'll decorate. Hopefully it will be up before I go to bed tonight.

When do you put up your tree?

If I get all that done today, tomorrow I'll be scrapping away. I got some new pictures yesterday that I soooo want to scrap.

Got Balls? By Elombardo19Here is my entry for the stamping challenge!!  I'm a little worried about the title.  Too disturbing??  I, of course, thought it was funny!! Oh and I inked the paper strip edges tho its hard to see.
I'll talk more tomorrow due to a zillion projects this weekend, not scrapping related (gasp!!)Things done: bought crystal cut/glass bedside lamps at thirft store, cleaned and rewired and reshaded (most expansive part) them!  Love it!!  Hung bedroom valances that have been sitting since June!  Yeah!!  Primed and first coated chest, shelf and mirror.Things to finish:  finish painting blanket chest, shelf and mirror frame for bedroom.  Clean, paint and distress table from thift store for bedside table. (Maybe, its already distressed the way I like it-ya know-"as is"-and would be better in the living room, but I really need it in the bedroom.  Color is a little off for bedroom) I'm out!

I'm totally stalling on pulling out my christmas stuff. I don't really get into that much. I think I would if we had little ones coming around, you know? And I'm not whining or anything, it just means I can put it all out or none at all! Thats the fun part I think, when theres kids involved. I used to LOVE looking in and digging to the bottom of my stocking!! Its just me, my boyfriend and Titus here. We don't even exchange gifts due to save on money, being busy with work (he coaches H.S. basketball so its his prime season now) but mostly because we're both really lazy about it! lol!!!
I'm thinking I'll pull it all out next weekend. So...real tree or fake this year???

Well, we don't have our Christmas stuff up either. usually do it the day after Thanksgiving. Oh well, it will get done eventually.

I so need a scrapping day!! I haven't done anything scrappy since I don't know Wednesday maybe!! Both ds and dh have been home from school and work since Thursday. Yesterday we went to this little Science Center up in Rye, NH. They had some displays that I really didn't find all that interesting. But, I did like the few aquariums they had. One of them had a horseshoe Crab in it. Anyone heard of these?? It was a really freaky looking critter, see:

There are more pictures of other cool stuff on my blog. Did you all know that starfish can have more than five arms? I didn't.

I want to go to AC Moore tomorrow, they have a 50% off on day coupon, them Mike's is for Tuesday. Maybe I'll just stay home and do some scrapping tomorrow instead.

We used to put our tree up right after Thanksgiving dinner. But now I'm not sure when we are putting it up.

Kim-That is a very interesting creature. I've heard of them but I haven't ever seen what they look like. Were you able to touch it? I know in some aquariums you are able to touch some the animals.

Kim-you can see dead ones washed up on the beaches in Florida all the time. Did they mentioned that they're like as old as dinosaurs??!! I think thats neat since as humans we pretty much kill off anything indigenous to the planet in no time at all! They are very interesting to look at. I would have probably really have digged that Science center...I'm a biology major by no accident!! Just went the route of sports medicine in the end. Big fan of useless knowledge, trivia games and such!!
Time to finish my painting, maybe put up the tree, and get organized for my next scrappin porject. I have a Date Book kit that looking forward to putting together.

Hi everyone!!! so nice to see all the new faces! Sorry it has been a while since I have logged in. Things have been crazy around here! Not to mention that I seem to have lost my scrappin mojo!! hee hee. I sat down at the scrapbook table today for the first time in a mth and I didnt make any progress!

Anyway, since the rest of you have shared a little about yourself. Heres a little about me ---- I have been with my boyfriend/fiance/partner (whatever you want to call him ) for 12 years now. We started dating when I was a freshman in college. Got engaged a few years later. But for some reason havent made it down the isle yet. We are proud parents of a little boy that will be 3 yrs old on Monday. Man does time fly! I started scrapbooking in highschool by clipping articles out of the newspaper! This hobby sure has changed since then. Seems like scrapbooking comes in waves for me. Sometimes I am rolling out the pages like crazy and then I have down times where nothing gets done! So needless to say I am WAYYY behind! hahahh

Thanksgiving was spent with my other halfs family and the food was wonderful as usual! I was able to get all the Christmas deocrations up yesterday. I so love the holiday season!

I plan on taking a peek at everyones gallery and leave some love. I need inspiration!!

I did it. I got my tree up and decorated it. It's not as packed as in previous years, but as I get older, I get to thinking that less is more. You can really see the special ornaments that are there. I almost didn't put any balls on there, but decided in the end to put special balls, not plain ones, and I didn't put any of the ornaments the kids had made at school on it this year. Does that make me a bad mama?

Still no tree up. Maybe next weekend if I don't do it myself this week. I have noticed the older our son gets, the later we put our tree up. This year he wants a new gaming computer and I told him if that's what he really wants, that will be it. So the tree won't have much under it at all. Naturally we will pick up a few additional items for him, but not alot. The puter he wants isn't cheap and will probably count as part of his Birthday too!

I still can't believe how many people here have heard of and/or seen those crabs! Over on the Photo Challenge thread several people had seen them too. But, they didn't know that they were actually part of the spider family, not crab family!! There was some additional info about the crab and they did referr to it as a "Living Fossil". So I guess now instead of being old as dirt, people can be old as horseshoe crabs!! LOL!

We couldn't touch the crab, but there was a tank with a bunch of starfish in it,that you could touch and pickup. Poor starfish!

So Erika, I guess you knew starfish could have more than 5 arms?? I didn't.

Hi Erin! I remember the days of cutting out magazine words, title, etc... and putting them in my albums next the picture I cut into a really cool circle or heart. And I used to scrap in spurts but lately since joining this website in Oct and then this group ( ) I have done more in two months then I would have all year!!

Rose-wtg on the tree! And no your not a bad momma for skipiing the kid-made ornaments. I have to admit that my tree now is really fancy-gold, irradescent, glittery and glamrous, however, I do have a handful of ornaments from when I was a kid that hide in there. You can't always find them, but I know their there!

Kim- I literally spit out my food (just a little) when I LOL when you said we can say we're as old as horseshoe crabs!! And don't feel so sorry for the starfish, they're pretty tough. There is actually a type that crawls across the coral and eats and kills it. That sucks for alot of other critters!

What type of gaming system? Like a Xbox? I know nothing about that stuff. Only played a Wii once and was more excited in making the avatar (i was sooo cute) then playing anything!! LOL! Last time I "played" video games it was Atari!!

I don't eat or drink when I'm reading stuff here, it's to dangerous!!!

He plays a lot a games on his compute both online and not. But the gaming computer he has now is a couple of years old and in computer years...well it's a fossil. But you sound like me, I play Sims so I can build houses, furnish them and make people. I couldn't care less about actually playing the game!!

Rose-Yay! for putting your tree up. And that does not make you a bad mom! We actually put ours up today after all! It's all red and silver. We're going to put another one up in the "fellowship hall" (which is actually the garage, after we lay carpet down) because that's were the Christmas party is going to be this year. But that one is going to be more traditional. I can't wait to put Zander's first Christmas ornament on it!

Welcome Erin and thanks for the love in my gallery! Hope your son has a Happy Birthday!

Kim, do you do this a lot?----->

heyyyy hey hey! Just checkin in on everyone. This weekend has been crazy, but well worth it! My family just left this afternoon, and I miss them already, but we are going home for Christmas... so that's a good thing.

I have done NO scrapping at all for like a week... and I don't think it will be happening anytime soon. We have end of the year parties for my kids at work this week. I have to make little goody bags, and put up Christmas stuff and ahhhhh! I really need to make my Christmas cards too! haahahaha. Soooo-- I will try to check in as much as possible, but it's that time of year again-- already!!! Time sure does flyyy doesn't it?

Hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving!

Congratulations on getting your trees up and decorated. I'm still debating how much more decorating I do/do not want to do. this year.
