This phase of hers has been going on for awhile now ... she's been in our bed for .. oh geez, I'd say going on a year now? I think it started when she got sick and she did it like 3 nights in a row and then off and on and now it's mostly on. And this week she just started screaming "MOMMY, come get me" and I yell back "If you want to come in here, walk by yourself" but it doesn't work, she just yells louder. Last night she had the heaviest pull-up EVER plus no blankets. I tried to just tuck her in but she was standing on her bed instantly so I had to bring her in with us. dh told her this morning that she's not allowed to yell at me to come and get her anymore. Tonight I'm going to bribe her , to convince her to stay in her own bed. When she sleeps with me, dh gets up and dd and I both sleep in, we are both logs!

SNOWING HERE! BOO! Super-long drive!
- supposed to get 15 cm throughout the day and then snow/freezing rain tonight and more snow tomorrow.
It took me over an hour to drive to work this morning - UGH!

Hope everyone is having a fab Tuesday!!

Kids can be so funny about that sleeping situation. My daughter is a huge bed hog and she has to sleep right up on you. Its nuts.

I took K to the doc yesterday and she has a sinus infection. She woke up yesterday with a fever (ughh! right before vacation!!!) so i took her in and the gave her some antibitics. Well this moring she began vomiting/spitting up mucus! I felt so bad for her. She is eating and happy so I am just praying for us to still have an enjoyable trip. If any of you woulndn't mind can you please pray for her and us to get and reamian healthy for this trip? I can't tell you how greatful I would be for it.

Tiffany have you heard anything more from the bank?

I will check back in later have a great day gals.

My dd needs to be on top of me too when she sleeps. Her arm goes across my neck so I can't breathe, her legs are on my tummy or else she has her face stuck right up in my neck or my face, sawing logs. Yes, my dd is only 2.5 and she snores!!!

Hope your dd gets better Dana, will send positive thoughts!! We had the flu last year at Christmas, totally sucked!

Jill, have you ever watched Supernanny? She deals with bed times and sleeping issues every single show it seems.

All this talk about kids sleeping in beds is making ME sleepy! LOL!!! I LOVE sleeping!! Woke up sicky on Monday. Called in this morning for the clinic and moved my patients to tomorrow and slept another 3 hours. Could hardly get motivated to get in the shower but I got to go to the high school-I have boys basketball games to cover tonight. Whoopie. Its gonna be a long night.

Dana-hope your family feels better. I had to travel this past June with sinus infection and the plane ride sucked. My one ear wouldn't clear on decent and it was painful. It was okay the next day and I rallied and had a blast. So heres to things looking up for K!!!

Kim - check out this challenge - you are one of the pages to scraplift!

Rose, I have watched Supernanny ... I complain about it but she's still so small and I love it. She's so snuggly and warm. She shouldn't be there and I'm going to try and bribe her but I do love it!

Dana-I hope your daughter feels better. That would really suck for her to be sick on a trip like that. I will pray for her. Hopefully this will be a trip she remembers for the right reasons! My dh is also sick. He came home early from work last night (3rd shift this week).

No I haven't heard anything from the bank yet. She did call us back but it was the first time all day we didn't have the cell phone strapped to our side. LOL, go figure! And of course when we called her back she didn't answer. I found another house online last night and got really excited about it because the price was awesome. Then when I talked to the realtor I found out that it needs a new roof and has no heating system. We drove by it but the neighborhood was very ify. So, back to the drawing board... Ah! This is so discouraging!

Jill-Good luck with the bribing. I don't know if I'm looking forward to ds hitting that stage or not. But currently he will not sleep without his pacifier. So if it falls out in the middle of the night he screams his head off! It's funny, though, because during the day he doesn't really want anything to do with it but when it's naptime or bedtime he better have it or else! LOL!

Oh gosh...listening to you all talk about your kids and sleeping problems!! DGS just got out of a horrible time for a while when he wouldn't stay in his room at night...we even turned the lock around so we could lock the door from the outside..thankfully he worked through it and now is great about staying in bed again! My daughter was horrible...she always woke in the middle of the night and came into our room...I remember sleeping beside her bed a couple of times!!

any way, glad to hear your head is OK Jill and Erika I hope you feel better soon as well as Kennedy, I sure hope she is better before your vacation!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you Tiffany!!

It is snowing like crazy here..well, let me rephrase this it sleeting here with some snow now and again..but it is just so slushy and icey it's a mess. Kept dgs home from pre-school today and we made cookies and playdough!!

I guess since I only had the two entries in the challenge I will send the two of you a little something!! so pm me your addies and I will get soemthing off to you Erika and Tiffany!!

It took me an hour and a half to get to work this morning - SO MUCH SNOW!

So dh told dd that she wasn't to call us when she came into our bedroom - that she should just go into our bedroom (so much for bribing). Last night when I went up to bed, I went into her room to give her a kiss and her bed was empty. She was in our bed, on my side, completely tucked in, fast asleep. It was so sweet! But I had to take her back to her own bed. Then she DID wake up at 2:30am screaming MOMMY and wouldn't stop. Ugh. I went to get her, she had a sopping wet pull-up so changed that and then we all went to sleep.
I don't think there'll be an end!

Oh there will be. I Kennedy was always really good about being dry at night...and I know that made the sleep in your own bed thing way easier. Hang in there. I am sure you are alot like me although I like to sleep comfortably nothing beats seeing that sweet little sleeping face either.

We are all packed up for the most part. Early Early in the A.M.
Thanks for the prayers. If any of you are at all curious about the trip I am gonna try to keep my blog updated while we are gone.

Well I came home from the gym and Ms. Abigail is in MY bed! She's so sweet, how can you be mad? Just wants to be close to her mommy. I think she's outgrown her toddler bed, that's part of the problem. Maybe we'll buy her a new bed on boxing day.

She's only 2.5 but she's soooo tall ... we already have a mattress so that's the good thing!

I made a Christmas tree ornament for my mom tonight. Will upload in the morning - it's too dark right now.

Going to get our xmas pictures done tomorrow morning, hope it goes well!! Wish me luck.

Well, I did take the lo I made to work to scan it today, but I got distracted. There was a big meeting at work at 8:30 this morning, and they are laying off 60% of the people who work there. Then at 11:30, I got a call from ds' school, and he had been tripped and fell on his arm, and his wrist was bent back too far. So then I had to leave and take him to the doctor and then the hospital for x-rays. Then I went back to work to find out that, yes, I'm on the list to be laid off. I have a job at least until Feb 10th, maybe March 1st.

The pictures went HORRIBLE:

I had an appt at 9:30 at Sears this a.m. ... left my place at 8am, it's only a 15 minute drive. Traffic was horrendous, like the worst I've EVER seen - barely got there in time (and it was awful with poor Abba in the car, not understanding why we can't go anywhere) and then had to buy shirts for us to wear. White ones. Go upstairs to photography and my shirt is too big. Then Abigail peed her pants. Went downstairs to get a smaller size and then just switched the two .. I know, that was bad but I didn't have time to do an exchange but after I did that, I heard security paged! Omg, I almost died ... then had to buy jeans for Abigail since she peed in her first ones. Went and FINALLY did the photo shoot - was AWFUL ... hated all the pics so I left but they insisted I pay a $20 sitting fee .. huh?! whatever .. .no way. So I left and then got in my car and I am just overwhelmed with everything so I cried. Now I am going to get my sister's sister-in-law to take the photos that I want taken ... natural ones, not stupid ugly backdrop ******** which I told the guy I didn't want ... so basically I left and owe them money and I feel horrible about that but I don't want to pay for that ********.

Isn't that awful?! I am SO bad for not paying. They called my husband and made him an offer and he felt bad so he told them he would come in and pay the sitting fee. I wish they would have told us that there was one b/c I probably wouldn't have booked there b/c a toddler is way too unpredictable. Oh and then they said the photos would be in on the 23rd!! HELLO?! They didn't tell us that either.

Here's my ornament

K, girls ... so guess what?!

I came home from work and dh told me I might be mad at him. He bailed on work today and went to the casino. Yep, not impressed.

He put a $100 bill on the counter and then another and another and another. So $400, not bad. Oh, by the way, we DO NOT gamble, only been to the casino twice.

So then he keeps going. Another $100 and another and another and another. $800. I told him I could hear the paper sliding from the other bill as he slid them up to be placed on the table.

So then he added another NINE $100 bills. Up to $1,900. I stopped counting and kept thinking "please let there be more". Isn't that silly ... I got greedier the more he had!

He stopped at 43.

Yes, $4,300.

He won on roulette and roulette only, for 3 hours that is what he played. He didn't even know how to play. At the end he had a crowd cheering him on.

He gave it all to me. It's ours of course but I'm happy that he has the sense to put it away. He did spend $200 for xmas on me and put some gas in the truck and got a pizza for dinner! CRAZY EH?

Have you girls seen this?

Twas the night before Christmas, I'm glued to the tree.
I'm wondering what Santa brought just for me.
Could it be cardstock or chipboard or lace?
Or a Cricut, I said, with a smile on my face.
And that's when I heard him,
"Hi Santa, " I said
"You know....good little girls
should be in their beds."
"I know I should Santa,
and now I've got caught.
But I was just so excited
To see what you brought."
"Well, let's take a look
in this room where you work.
He shook his head quickly,
And left with a jerk.
I heard him exclaim
as he put it in gear.
"You've got enough ********,
I'll see you next year!"

That's a hilarious poem, Jill!!
BTW-can't believe your dh won all that money!! I take $20 into the casino and walk out with $0 and I'm okay with that. (My mom is there right now, I think in Sarnia though for bingo, to celebrate her 60th. I think tomorrow shes going to the detroit casinos). I can't stand the noise, crowds or smoking. Not a big fan. I always play my 20 bucks on the slots and then tell everyone they can find me at the bar when its time to go, if I haven't left already. LOL!!
Also thought of you last night as my teammate got drilled in the face and she had to lay there for about 30 secs. She's totally fine and was back to finish the game!
Little advice for both of you: LOL!!!

Rose-glad your kids had a nice night of singing!! Wish I could, its one of my three wishes!!

Side note-maybe I should start my xmas shopping soon. Not a fan of this either.

Also lacking a little mojo in the scrapping dept. I think its due to the stress of the holidays, I dunno know...

Jill-That's cute! Hopefully Santa won't do that to me this year! I'd be happy if he gets us a house for Christmas. I might even trade in my cricut for it! LOL!

I'm sorry to hear about your pictures going so horrible! That really sucks! You poor thing! Zander's getting his done on saturday. Hopefully they will go well and we will catch him in a good mood. Or at least go better than when we first had his pictures done when he was a month old. That was a bad day. But nothing in comparison! LOL!

I forgot to tell you the good news Wednesday night. Alex's soccer team won their first game 6-1!

I have found a website that has somethings I want RIDICULOUSLY priced. The quikcutz silhouette for $119 ($369 is the regular price here and elsewhere), and the quikcutz squeeze for $14.99 ($90 is the regular price for this). I am going to really have to practice restraint. Hmmm...who can I give the link to to buy it for my Christmas present? (BTW, shipping is free if you buy $100, and that makes it eaven more shocking.)...and I tried telling myself it was probably a bad website, but I found several posts from people on here who recommended it. Oh help

I actually thought about buying both of the quikcutz squeezes...the pink one with the moxie alphabet, and the black one with the metro alphabet...keep the alphabets, and then sell the black squeeze for $30...or maybe $35 to pay for most of the shipping. Do you think I'm awful for thinking of doing that?

Gosh no, people do that sort thing ALL the time!! I don't know anything about those squeezes...if you sell just the squeeze, will the person be able to buy the letters separately? Hope you don't have to drop the price too much... But everyone loves a bargain!

Can you gals believe I don't have any scrappin on my mind lately?? Wuz up wit dat???

Yes, you can buy the alphabets and all kinds of other dies seperately. And the squeeze at $30 is still less than half price.

Hi back!

Looked at another house today. Isn't it amazing how everything looks better on the internet? We got there and it was pretty bad. LOL! The outside needed a little cosmetic work but if that was the only thing it needed then we would have jumped at getting that house for sure. When we went inside, though, there were holes in the walls, the carpet needed to be completely replaced (the last owners obviously had a dog that was inside a lot, lol), several windows had been busted... the list goes on. If we had the extra money to do all that then it would have been fine, but we don't. So back to the drawing board yet again. We are going to look at some more tomorrow. Hoping to have better luck. We're not going with a realtor, just looking on the outside and peering in windows, as to not waste a realtor's time. LOL!

Kay

Here's another thing, Tiffany...look on-line at the realty sites EVERY day. And don't hesitate to waste a realtor's time. Having one of those working for you now might prevent you losing the house of your dreams. I found my house on the internet Jan 4th, called my realtors, saw it and put in an offer on the 5th. I got it because I was the first one. My realtors often told me that the best houses go quickly. My house had been totally remodeled, was 2 1/2 miles from work, had a fenced in yard, and was below the price limit I had set.

HI!!! Did you all miss me!? We have been without power since around 1am Friday morning. I'm sure you all have heard on the news that the New England area got hit with an ice storm by now. We stayed at the house Friday night, all the hotels were booked. We don't have a generator! But we do have a fireplace, so we were able to have one warm room. We did finaly find a generator at Sears, sort of. It's on it's way here, but most likely won't be here until tomorrow. We had a hotel for tonight, but when we got home from buying electrical cords and lunch, we had Power!!!! Man I miss electricity!!! The first thing we did, was take nice hot showers!!!

We have a well with an electric pump so we didn't have much water. We had filled one tub and a 5 gallon jug for drinking. We didn't loose any food, thank goodness.

I have some pictures on my blog. But, they don't capture the destructive beauty of the ice!!

Jill - love that "poem". I better go hide some of my ***** before Santa gets here!! FOUR THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS!!!! WOW, he should probably never try that again, he will most likely never win.

Rose - Sounds like a great night for you kids!! Solos and Emcee...cool. Glad your son's wrist is okay. No change in the lay off, huh? Like, not gonna happen.

Tiffany - No luck on the house hunting yet? Just try to be patient, you'll find one.Oh, don't forget to check out I sold my house .com

Wow, Jane! Busy, busy, busy...but FUN!!!

Tiffany-It took me 8 months to find the right house! But it was mostly due to the price and other criteria I was looking for, ya know? It can be exhausting though.

I'm now on the other side of things. Poor housing market, house worths dropping $20,000-$40,000, upside down mortgage, and couldn't sell it for the last 2 years!!!!!!! Most of the population in my area is blue collar and have been laid off. We have a huge unemployment issue around here. So now if people can't get approved to buy a little house like mine, then I can't buy someone elses, etc, etc....its a vivious cycle that I'm stuck in right now. My boyfriend and I need a bigger place in between our jobs and we can't dump our two mortgages. It sucks. We feel like our lives are totally stuck. The hamster in the wheel.......
Anyhoo!

Thank you all for the support. It is very helpful. I'm about to check out those websites that were mentioned in a few. Tomorrow's going to be busy. I got the phone #'s for 6 banks I'm going to call to see which one would be the best for a loan. I really believe we may have found a house. We went by it yesterday. The current owners were very nice and let us look at it. It is very well maintained and on half an acre of land! The wife just graduated and they are moving to find her a better job. They even said that they would help us out if the loan we get doesn't fully cover their price. I'm so hoping and praying this is it!

Zander's pics went well yesterday. The lady freaked him out a little bit at first though. But he was so cute! I can't wait to get them back! They'll be done on the 20th. Right before Christmas! Yay! Oh, I see the scrapbook pages already! LOL!

Boy, what a day. I spend most of my sunday in the ER. I told dh that I could handle my problem at the doctors office tomorrow, but he insisted that I go to the ER. I've had a nose bleed on and off for about 4 days one side then the next and when I got up this am I had a black tary stool, all this after complaining I didn't feel well. The doctor in the ER did some test and said everythings fine and to follow up with my family doc. I have sleep apnia and sleep with a cpap machine to keep my airways open. My nasil pasages have dried causing the nose bleed. I guess I'll check with the tech about the settings on my humidified that is attached to the cpap. I really didn't want to have extra expenses here at the holidays. Thanks for this forum. I don't usually talk about my medical problems, but I feel I can let off steam here.

Morning friends. Just wanted pop in to say Hi!

Couldn't get on last night, my laptop must have got that new ugly virus going around. So we ended up having to reformat it and reinstall everything. What a pain in the butt. So, if you turn on your computer and the screen stays black, but you can see your cursor, it's not the monitor and your screwed!!

Anyway, need to get cleaned up and maybe try to drag my lazy non-motivated self out to finish up some shopping.

DH had no work yesterday, the power was still out there - it's back on today. i'll be suprised if the kids go back to school before the "Christmas" break, still no power there. Which actually is working out good for ds, since he had his wisdom teeth removed, he hasn't missed any school.

Well, have a good one ladies!!

Wow, it was quiet in here on the weekend?! Where is everyone?!

So I had a nice 4 day weekend, got dh's xmas album done. He better not know that it's coming!! I want him to cry on xmas morning!

Made a small dent in the $5,600 gambling winnings, actually I probably made a decent dent, am afraid to count it! We bought some shelving for dd's toys for her toy room, a DVD shelf, xmas presents ... and who knows what else!

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!!

Not sure I am done yet!

I checked in on the weekend and only heard crickets, so...
I had xmas dinner with Dad and his wife on Sunday. They go to their FL condo on the 21st. She wears on ya, ya know? I'll have to tell that story sometime. Its a totally soap opera. He lied and cheated, she was a family friend, grew up with her kids, we all played or ref'd soccer together, thirty years of marraige ka-put, they run off to Key West and get married, didn't talk to him for 1/2 year, etc...Oh, its good stuff, I tell ya!!

Jill-you've been very busy! Good for you!

I've temporarily lost my mojo. I figure its due to the holidays. I hate Christmas time. Its too time comsuming for someone like me. Pulled in like a bizillion places, trying to please everyone and hating it all along. It takes the joy out of it. Haven't even shopped. Don't think I'm going to. I tried to get my mom and brother to not exchange gifts, but my brother had already bought me something. UUUUGGGHHHH!!! And he's the one without a job right now. Hello!!! Whatev!

Speaking of holiday projects, I did already complete a paper bag mini album for my grandma, but I don't like the way it turned out. I'm going to give to her anyways, she doesn't know the difference, ya know? But I ain't posting in my gallery!!

The next thing I want to do is alter a frame that will go next to my bed with my baby Ed (he's a dog, or was, not a real baby) who passed in May of 2007. It just makes me sad so its hard to get started. I bought the frame at Archivers the last time I was there. It was discounted, so I thought why not. I have this FAVORITE pic that is getting damaged and such from having it laying around the house or carrying it around and such. So I'm gonna use a copy and put the original away. **Sigh**...my baby...

I'll check back in a little while!

Morning everyone.

I caught a virus on my laptop and have been spending the last couple of evenings trying to get it put back together. So, I haven't been on in the evenings. I'm trying to cut back on some of the stuff I do here anyway. It seems like all I do is catch up with threads, challenges and whatever else. It used to be fun, now it's more of a chore. I'm not going to be doing anymore hosting and I'm going to limit myself to no more than 3 challenges a month. I will stay with this group, not a lot pressure on this thread, and I like everyone. Not that I don't like other people, you know what I mean.

I want to get back to just scrapping, my way and enjoying it. I joined here and got active to share my layouts and make new cyber friends, but now all I do is play catch up. Anyone else feel like that sometimes? Or am I just a total Ba Hum Bug??

Well, I think I have depressed everyone sufficiently this morning. Think I'll go get cleaned up now and decide if I want to get out in the newly fallen snow and make some returns, or wait until tomorrow!!

Have a great day ladies!!

Oh my gosh Kim, I hear ya!!

I have actually cut way down on challenges only because I find it SO hard to keep up. I find it very chore-like as well. I will have 150 tabs open at any one time. I just joined in January of this year and I already have 18,000+ posts!!

I used to host a challenge but I found it so demanding and hardly anyone sent an email thanking me for the RAK. I couldn't believe it so I thought why bother.

I am in a couple of critique groups (here and Luci-sraper's) but both are pretty low-key. I am also in a fairly active digi group.

But yes, when I come on here, often I feel like I am just catching up and I rarely have time to surf and just enjoy the site.

Kim-I hear ya!
I didn't jump into a group at first, cuz I thought "I'm not home enough for all this". Seems like most of this website is retiree's or SAHM. I don't know how you gals do it that work full time and have kids too!! Whew!!

But I did finally join this group!! It seemed the least imtimidating and I'm so glad I did. I wanted to get the whole website experience. Little with the gallery, little with the PM's of friends, little blogging, and little group/forum challenges. But I'm pretty much at my functional limit...otherwise:

Stopped by my LSS hoping to get inspired to do something. And guess what? I wondered around and Oh'd! and Ah'd! at all the pretty paper but only bought like 4 items. One being an extra class kit-those are so easy and already put together for you with pictures of the finished pages, I can't really count that as anything but cheating!

*Sigh* I'm ready for Jan to be here already!

Hi girls...I'm glad you guys find this low key enough to stick around...I like doing challenges, however, your can really get caught up in all of that and yes it does become quite the chore! Let me know if you want another challenge...I'm sure I can come up with something but for now it seems like the chatting ang getting to know each other is fun enough!!!

Hope you all are having a good day...it snowed here again and had to shovel this morning. Thursday night we are suppose to get his again with 4 to 6 inches overnight ... and it's only Dec....our winters go through the month of March!

There are times when I think about moving up north so I can experience one good winter, and maybe then I would appreciate a winter without snow.

I am looking forward to having time to scrapbook and make cards after all the Christmas fuss is over. The kids are both going to be gone the 28th and 29th, and I'm planning on having friends over on the 29th to scrapbook. I'm only working 4 hours that week, so should have more time to do whatever I want to.

Rose your CRAZY!!!!!!  Snow sucks.  Its very dangerous!!!!  And cold!!!  Yuck  Though it can be pretty if you never have to leave the house, LOL!!!
Hmmmm...If only I could just sell my house....Rose, Tiffany??...It's cheap...its up north...

Yeah did the shoveling thing this morning too.  And yeah we're supposed to get a big storm starting tomorrow thru Sat.  Looks like I'll have to put off xmas shopping some more, LOL!!!!  I did get my mom done.  She wanted a charm for her Pandora bracelet. Have you gals seen these??  They're a nice, tasteful little trinket bracelet with really cute charms.  My mom and all her friends each got one for their 60th birthdays for each other.  Aawwww!  My mom was the last one to get one, so now she's really happy to be part of the group, (even though she's 60!!  LOL!!)  They make great gifts!!I bought her the clover/shamrock since we're part Irish!!

Jane...new challenge...anytime...I'm ready!!  Though maybe after all the holidays!

Okay girls! Keep warm!! Happy scrappin'

Can I take a tiny little survey with you gals??

When it comes to these die-cut machines, which ones do you guys have/use?? (ie Cricut, slice, Silhouette, etc)

I do not have one and have been thinking about them...like do I really need one. (I know i want one!!) I do my titles mostly with stickers and stamps right now, but...

Would really appreciate a response, TIA!!!

I have the sizzix, and use it a lot. I love that I can cut letters out of any paper/picture that I want to, and I can cut out felt, foam, and chipboard. I can cut out a shape of chipboard and then cut out pp of a shape and they'll match perfectly. I have the regular, but wish I had the Big Shot. Conversely, I am limited by the dies I have and what size they are. That is why the electronic machines are so enticing. You can change the sizes. The cricut and cuttlebug are limited by which cartridges you have, but do not connect to a computer, and the space taken up by the cartridge is a lot less than the space taken up by a lot of dies. If you are computer savy, then you should really look into the die cutting machines which connect to the computer like the quikutz silhouette. It can cut any true type font or shape you have on the computer. It can even put letters together and cut out words in one piece so you don't have to glue down a bunch of different pieces. Of course if you don't want to be limited by electricity if you lose due to all that snow, sizzix would be a big contender.

wow...thanks Rose, that was informative!! I do have the Cricut, my husband bought for me and I use it but really want to have more cartriges!!! I think I would use it more if I did!! but I do like it but being able to hook up to the internet would be cool...does that mean you can download things to the machine??
Rose...you don't want the snow!!!!

Gosh I'm glad I'm not the only feeling overwhelmed sometimes. I do love this group, we just hang out and chat, post our layouts (when we do any), go give love to those layouts and then whatever. I think we should just post two challenges at the beginning of them on the month, and then just do them by the end sometime. Nohing stressing of course, we could even take turns coming up with them.

Rose If you'd like I can get some dry ice and ship you some snow!!

Erika
I share your feelings on the lose of your baby. We lost both of ours a few years back and it stills pains me. One of them was older and he had cancer, I knew my time with him was limited. The other, she was still a youngster and we lost her so fast. She got sick and within 3 weeks was gone. Broke my heart, but my boy, he stayed around after she died for a little while. I think he wanted to make sure I was okay. I really do. I don't think I'll ever have dogs again.

Now about diecut machines:
I have too many!!! I started witht he original Sizzix, then got the Sidekick. Now I have the Bigkick, which replace the other two and cuts all dies from all other manual machines to date. So, if you want to go manual I'd suggest this one. I had the Cricut Expressions, HATED IT!! I found it to be too time consuming, couldn't get a clean cut and you can't cut different size fonts at the same time. Now I have the Silhouette. I Love it!! Even though it doesn't make cuts as big as the expression, how many time do every actually need a 12 X 12 anything!? I think Rose hit all the stuff the Silhouette can do. Basically if it's one your computer, the silhoutte can cut it. not to mention the print and cut, and sketch and cut ability. And of course you can cut different size and style fonts at once!!

Hello ladies! How is everyone doing today?

I have the original cricut (aka baby bug). I got it for my bday this year. I really like it but the only downside is having to buy cartridges. Right now I only have two, the one it came with (George) and Pooh and Friends (which is sooo cute!) I don't think I'm that good at cutting things out by hand and it's so time consuming, that's why I like it so much.

Wendy and my other SIL, Sam, both got the expression for Christmas this year. It's really neat. But it was just a little confusing for me. LOL! I think I'll stick with the baby for now!

Erika-Hmm, maybe I'll take you up on your offer! Might make both of our lives easier! LOL!

I have decided that one year, I'm going to pack up my kids and ignore the rest of the family one year, and head north for a week's vacation so I can have a white Christmas at least once in my life. Maybe then I could use some of my snow embellishments.

And be careful about telling me to come for a visit to see snow, or you just might get yourself a house guest

We have a spareroom and a couple of air mattresses. If you can be here by 3pm today, you'll get more snow then you will ever want to see again in your life!! 8 to 10 inches baby!!!

Morning girls, jci real quick before I leave to do some xmas shopping (before the snow comes).

I have seen the Sizzix - am not a fan. A friend of mine has it and one of her letters is kinda "broke" so it doesn't really work.

I have the Cricut and while I hardly use it, I love it.

Girls, did you know you can buy a program for $70 and it will allow you to connect your cricut to your computer and you can use ANY TRUE TYPE font on your computer?!

So there really is no need to buy cartridges - you could just go to dafont dot com or 1001freefonts dot com and download the font and then use it on your cricut.

Jill-Is it kinda like that Sure Cuts A Lot thing? Does it void out your warranty? I've heard good and bad things about SCAL and have been kind of scared to try it.

Well, got dumped on late last night!!!  No school!  Which is cool for me-I don't work in the physical therapy clinic on Fri mornings anyways and then to get a snow day...YIPEE!!!  All day to do...what?!  Laundry, ironing, dishes,  oh yeah and scrapbooking!!!  'Cept I haven't yet  I putzed around for a bit, then went out and started the shoveling process.  Titus needed a place to stand outside the door afterall.  Plus I wanted to move my car from the street to the driveway before the big trucks come in and bury it!  I spent most the time helping a neighbor boy who had his car struck in the street.  It took forever and it was a group effort for sure!  Hardly got a thanks, but thats just how we do it up here.  (I don't know you, you don't know me, so don't talk to me.That freaked me out about NC,people talk to ya in the mall and you don't even know them. Weird!)  Then I paid 2 boys to help dig my car out and help me in the driveway.  Whew!!  Titus and I played ball until we lost it in the snow!!  Now, I might be ready to scrapbook!!!

I went to the gym this morning, and then work, and then I went to pick up my nieces. I get to keep them for the whole weekend! And boy have I got a full day planned tomorrow...swimming, aquarium, caroling, soccer game, and Christmas movies.

Rose that sounds like much more fun than shoveling!!!!!

Here's one that I did this evening. Sorry for the bad lighting. I think I'll do a re-shoot and re-post so sorry in advance for the reposting tomorrow in the gallery. I also tried that printing on vellum thing and liked it!! But not for this photo and pp's so I re printed a reg. one.

I Think I See Santa! By Elombardo19

So I'm supposed to be at soccer right now but have been watching people get stuck at my subdivision corner all day and all night so I'm not going. See, Jill, so easy!! I know the main roads are fine but I don't like trying to get out my driveway and down the street. Some of it might be lazines, some of it is fear of sliding into the stop sign (which I did 2 years ago, just tapped it really, but still), and some of it is because I want to scrap. But I do think I am going to walk to the corner store and buy some beer for tonight, LOL!!!! I'm certainly not driving any where!!!

I think you have a legitimate excuse Erika...you just go ahead and scrap today, and enjoy the beer. I'm thinking of getting some wine for my scrapbooking party.

JCI!!! Its so quiet around here today.

I went to Archivers today...I thought I could shake the blahs, but I had to go thru major shopping areas so I only got more angry with the holiday.
A's was okay. I found some xmas pp in the clearance bins. I'm going to do a mini album of our annual work party and have it at work for fun PR stuff.
We had it during our "lunch" on Thurs. We had it "catered" this year, and did white elephant exhange. We do that game where u draw numbers then can steal someone elses or pick from under the tree. Are u guys familiar with this?? It can be fun. It was supposed to be white elephant, but two people had included Target gift cards, so....u can imagine all the stealing of that. I had #1 (the worst number) and so I was stolen from and then ended up with junk! But it was fun!! It was good food, we all like each other, played a little xmas song trivia game, and had a great time!!

I'll post when I finish it. I stalled all day today and didn't get the scrappin done that I wanted. Mostly because I have the blahs today but also because I FINALLY broke down and got on Facebook (my friends can be really persisent and annoying). Don't worry I'll shake the blahs...I always do!!

They call that Yankee swap here. You draw numbers, pick a gift, if you don't like the gift you picked after you open it, you take someone elses and they get yours. The first person to go, gets to swap out last if they want. So getting number one is good!!! We had that swap at the sorority today. Only a couple of people "stole". I got to keep my pick and I was glad about that.

What's this facebook thing? Another thread I'm on everyone is joining it??? What's is all about???
