I use lots of Basic Grey for boy pages. Fancy Pants and Scenic Route also have good stuff. I'm loving the new Bo Bunny sports line.
$200 would go fast in my hands!

Boys are 3 and 5. i've recently been really into bright colors. I'm looking for both scrap supplies and tools. I've been looking thru the store, but it's all so overwhelming. LOL

Sounds like a fun challenge! Here's my purchase. I have no idea how much I spent, but it seems like about $200.

Basic Grey has some great papers. Boxer and Archaic are both good. Hmm... other than that there are some great boys books you can look into. I think on is call all men. HTH.

Your message came through while I was "shopping." I was totally focused on paper and hadn't even considered tools. What do you have already? Good trimmer? Basic inks/chalks and applicators? Microtip scissors? Crop-a-dile?

I am excited to see the responses to this question too. Here are a few papers I have and am preparing to use..maybe you will find something too. I have a few others from these lines which aren't available...but I think these give you some ideas.

I'd start off with good quality albums, then "boy" paper and stickers. Have fun!

These are some of the boyish products I really like... just got the crate pp's and can't wait to use them.

I have two boys, 2 & 4, and you're welcome to check out my very boyish gallery, I usually mention the products I use in each LO

Check out the Kaiser line, it's not sold in the store here, but if you can find it, it's fabulous for boys!!!!
I also like Fancy Pants , Cosmo Cricket and the Archaic pack from Basic Grey .

Woohoo $200 to spend on scrapbooking stuff!!

Hmm...I like some of the suggestions above:

1. Buying two albums (one for ea.). And possibly buying mini clear albums or chipboard ones too.

2. Buying paper. I'd probably spend $20-40 on paper alone. Getting matching colours. Some of the Fancy Pants coloured pp above looks really cool!

3. Distress inks, anything Tim Holtz (I love his stuff).

4. Stickles (one bottle, to match the new pp).

5. Stamp set. Maybe one of the clear stamps that has the journalling tag outlines (those are pretty cool and versatile).

6. Punch. I would probably buy one punch, I love em.

7. Ribbon and brads.

Now, if you have all of the above....you could always invest in something "big", like one of those machines...name is eluding me...that can do embossing or die cuts. I think you could get some for under $200.
I personally would love to buy a whole bunch of smaller stuff, create a big new stash of goodies!

Have fun!!

Patterend paper mentioned above it great!
I would buy some matching Bazzill cardstock.
I use a lot of metal embellisments on DS's pages.
My DS plays soccer and is in cub scouts so I would buy items relating to those activities.
As far as tools go I love my Expression!

I embellish my DS's LO's using brads and shaped brads, metal, wire, jute, leather, buttons (usually black and white)and metallic rub-ons.
That is all I can think of off the top of my head.
Hope this helps!

Yes, definitely Little Yellow Bicycle - Vita Bella Collection - all of it! Love the embellies.. and the BG papers mentioned.. although I haven't seen this one yet?

And I like the older Making Memories lines called MM kids. Ethan, Sam and Max.

Sorry.. I can't help myself....

I'd have to go for some of that BG that would be perfect for boy LOs.

i would buy a lot of items that i could use on more than one LO. for example...punches, stamps and stickers of sports equipment, trucks, animals and holidays; all things boys like and like to play with. and i would get paper that has generic "themes" so if you have scraps, you can use them.

have fun shopping!

Check out Deja Views Little Yellow Bicycle Zach's Life Collection (and the Frightful Collection for Halloween). They have some really nice stuff for teen boys. sb.com has so much more than what I listed below.

I'd also invest in some paint and edgy alphabet stamps.

Sorry, I missed where you said they're 3 and 5. The Zach's Life collection might have stuff for younger boys too.

Thanks for all the ideas! I already have about half of what was posted. But am going to look closer at the others when I get home. Too much going on at work here to concentrate.

I think I'm going to get the BIg Bite when the next coupon comes out at HL. was supposed to go there today, but didn't get around to it.

I have a 2 year old little boy... When I first started scrapping, I bought stuff like ribbons and flowers (mainly because he was still a baby and I felt I could get away with it). But now, I tend to buy stuff mentioned in the above post. I love Basic Grey stuff and yes, the distress ink is really nice for little boys' LOs. It gives it a "grungy" feel.

For tools, I'd get a good circle cutter set. How about some star templates? I use alot of circles and stars for my boy layouts.

The dinosaur stamps I posted elsewhere...

I did a small boy album for someone recently, and used a TON of chipboard arrows, too. Which makes me wish I'd had that arrow template.
