I was looking at hotels near where the scrapbook expo is, the closest hotel has a 1/2 star rating. My friend asked if we have to bring out own roach motel!
Guess I'll look a little further out!

Shane has been on it! I think he needed a "project" and he has really gotten into it! I definitely have to give him the credit!

Send him my way...i have a few projects in need of a scrubbys attention...my dad usually comes every couple of months and does what he can as far as fix-ups but I have some real projects that I need to do

As soon as we get finished with this, I will send him your way! I may have to come with him though! He would probably do it willingly for homemade lasagna! HAHAHA

So I told you guys that dh is working in a grocery store at night now. Every night he calls and asks what I need. So, tonight the only thing I asked him to bring home was baby wipes. He gets home and has 2 boxes of Good Humor ice cream bars - NO baby wipes!

Okay, my friend Cindy says she is going to Memories expo this year. She actually went online and registered while she was on the phone with me, so maybe she won't bail on me this year! I booked a hotel room. even though it is only an hour and 15 away from me...this way I don't have to drive down and back and we can make a weekend of it, sort of!

Ohhhh I hope Susan can come meet up with us!

Not sure what I am going to do this weekend. Want to do a few things in my classroom. Need to find a roll of velcro tape though. I also have to do lots of laundry. I let it go the past 2 weekends when I wasn't feeling well. I plan to do some scrapping also since Abby plans to leave after she takes the ACT tomorrow, she'll be gone until Sunday afternoon. She's going to the dirtbike races.

Hey, Liz.. hope you're feeling better.

I went to urgent care and got Amoxicillan! Again! From a dispenser machine! I don't like that ... I prefer a human pharmacist who can talk to me about side effects and drug interactions... but I'm not taking anything else so I guess it's ok this time.

Honey, it's just Amoxil.
Just realize that most antibiotics seriously decrease the effectiveness of birth control pills....if anyone would be on both at the same time.

My middle sister had a dog that ate a WHOLE CASE of fundraiser chocolate candy bars! And she did not even get sick.

we were planning on taking the kitten to get fixed later this month... but im not sure i can deal with another couple weeks!

When we brought our cat home (she was a stray who had been abandoned), DH decided that if she was going to stay inside, she at least needed to be front-declawed so she wouldn't scratch the furniture. I kept saying she needed to by spayed too, but he said no, if she was going to be an indoor cat, then she was going to be an INDOOR cat, and there wouldn't be any danger of her meeting a tom.

It only took one heat cycle for him to decide differently.

Random question for the technodivas:

There is such a thing as a wide-bed scanner, right? That will scan 12" wide? (Like, oh way, layouts?)

I'm really tired of taking pictures of mine that are blurry or angled or otherwise not as good as they could be. But I also don't have the patience to use the stitching programs that some of you use. So with a bday coming up, I thought that if wide scanners weren't too expensive, I might take whatever bday money I get and go get one.

I've heard that there's a tabloid sized scanner that will scan almost an entire 12x12 layout in one pass for about $200, but I don't know anything about it.

All the scanners that I know about that will scan an entire 12x12 layout and not cut anything off start at about $800.

Ok.. so I'm REALLY disappointed tonight! I went to ACM after work tonight and purchased the Crop-A-Dile Big Bite. I believe I've wasted my money and a whole bunch of eyelets. No matter how gently I squeeze it mangles the eyelet. I guess I'll be taking it back tomorrow.

Are you sure you have the right adapters set for the eyelet size? I don't have the big bite - but I do have the regular one. If you don't set them correctly it will mangle the eyelet.

yeah.. but do I try another one or do I just get my money back? I like the "idea" of using eyelets without all the noise from the hammer.

I have this one that I got made by Fiskars and it is spring loaded. Works wonderfully, only noise you hear is a light tap, and it was super cheap! There are 3 sizes of the setter in one package, one end of each is the hole punch and one side is the setter.

I want to scrap and make cards.

Patrick has a scouting event and a basketball game.
Chris has a school project
Kevin just wants time with mommy

I'm going to drop Pat at teh scout thing and take the other boys to the library. Chris can work on his research and Kevin loves the library. I'm going to look up books on teaching/learning interview skills. I need to get serious in training Chris.

We're having a heat wave!
It's 44* out!

We're supposed to hit the upper 40's today. Guess that won't help the scouts with their klondike derby!

Cathy,
I found a book called "Asperger Syndrome Employment Workbook" It's another in the Series that Tony Atwood wrote the forward for. I haven't had a chance to read too much of it. But I ordered it off Amazon I think. I'm thinking even if I can't do too much of it with him, I smack the adult case manager upside the head with it and say THIS is what I want you to do with him every week, not shop at WalMart.

Hey, Liz.. hope you're feeling better.

(Not sure why I thought I needed to say that.)

Sooooooooo true!

Honey, I know Jim loves you, and is a very good scrubby...but I'm not sure he loves you THAT much.

Ok. John needs to wake up, get ready for his game and leave. I'm starting to twitch and I need to make noise. Can't make noise if he's still in bed. Almost all of my quiet chores are done.

If you make noise, won't he get up and get ready for his game and leave?

Morning all! Getting ready to get in the shower and get ready for my GDO! Had to come downstairs and grab the clean clothes basket so I thought I would pop on and say hello!

Liz - Have a great crop today!

Hi Liz! Just finished my oreos. Going to go get a load of laundry out of dryer and start painting again. Shane and Payton arent here, little ones in bed.

My boys were asking for Oreos the other day. Might have to put them on the grocery list this week!

Shane is an oreo addict! Have to keep the pantry stocked with them at all times!

set out chores for the kids to fight over
got a text from hubby

I now have 2 hours, during which I need to get a shower and make myself look human...
wondering if I should run to GFS Store or sort pics

If he is eating those then maybe he is not eating my frozen RPBC!

Catch up with you later!

Not going to risk waking him grumpy, which will happen if I just crash around. But by subtly making a little noise, he'll wake up on his own and go. He already roused a little when I got dressed in the bedroom.

See I don't have that problem. I have the opposite problem. I would just give anything to have my hubby sleep past 6 just one weekend.

He will lay in bed with me if I ask him, but he tosses and turns and makes us both miserable.
Today it was me and Chief, we slept straight through until time to get up. And actually probably would have kept on sleeping if Bill hadn't text me.
