It's my birthday today (October 8th here in Australia!) and my dad and stepmom sent me a lovely GC to SB.com's shopping area (wasn't that nice?!) so if you had $250 to spend on scrappy supplies what would you get? I am drooling over all the new Prima goodies, and some new paper, but what have you guys seen lately that you must have?

Smooch? I saw this but what is it exactly...any pages you might show me using it. And I am definately getting some Stickles. I love Stickles and there is no way a girl can have too many bottles of glittery goodness.

Happy Birthday! Whenever I get a GC (or really any time I go shopping) I ALWAYS check out the clearance aisle first! That way, if I find anything I like, I stretch that dollar... But specifically, if you have a new big ticket item you want, Cricut, Wishblade, etc look at those or you could get boxes and boxes of smaller inexpensive things. I think I'd spend it in one shot though to save on shipping. Oh what a happy problem to have! Good luck!

Wow! that's awesome! I wish I had that much to spend too! LOL!
If there are any big/expensive things that you have wanted/needed, now is the time to get it!
I myself would get lots and lots of Prima! Also, some of the new lines that are out now, Tim Holtz stuff, and probably some punches.
Have fun and be sure to show us what you get!!

WOW---best present EVER!!

I would stock up on patterned paper and things that I would normally deem "too expensive" to buy with my own money. I'd probably pick up some Cricut carts too! Have fun and happy birthday!

Hello fellow Down Underer! Are there any specific projects you are working on at the moment that need jazzed up or that you need supplies/ideas for? As you have the money as a gift I would also probably get something special that you could use over and over such as a Cuttlebug, some type of storage/organisation or some punches. That way the gift keeps on giving

Alcohol inks and the new pen you can fill with the inks and some glossy cardstock or acrylic albums or letters to play with the inks.
More Smooch which is pearlized ink and comes in a "nail polish" bottle with a brush....dries fast..LOVE it.
Bling and flowers from Prima
Lots of wonderful patterned paper in all the lines above with embellies to match.
A selection of clear stamps and lots of different colors and types of ink pads.
D-ring albums which I have found are perfect for my "fat" layouts (the ones with lots of flowers and thick embellies).
Border punches and the new ones that also do corners.
Some cool tools I wouldn't normally buy cuz of the cost.
I would try to save some of the money for later cuz there are always new cool things coming out.
Alphabet stickers especially Thickers.

Happy Birthday and what a generous gift. Have a great time shopping.

I'd go for bigger ticket items, too. Lately I've been eyeing the Clip-it-up and the Scotch ATG. Then round it out with pp kits from Cosmo and Sassafras Lass.

Happy Birthday! From just reading down the list of what everyone else wants, I would get a "happy" headache trying to figure out what to get.
Whatever you get you sure will have a ball using it!

Happy Birthday~ I have seen many things listed above that I would suggest so no need to repeat.

What I will say is I would buy things that have a life, not one time use stuff for a good portion of the gift money and then a few frivolous things.

You know you will always need adhesive (an ATG is the way to go), glue dots and cardstock is another staple, If you have a cricut, than maybe some extra blades and mats. If you make cards maybe a scor pal would be handy for you. Like to emboss....maybe a heat gun and powders. Acrylic and rubber stamps are good too.

And look for things you want that you cannot get locally.

Hope these suggestions help.

Happy Birthday! What a fabulous gift to receive--have so much fun picking your goodies out! I LOVE stamps, so I would get a few sets of stamps for sure, some more glimmer mists, some yummy primas, a border punch, and a couple of the pp packs that I have been eyeing. If there are any tools, or more expensive items you have been wanting, this would be a great chance to get something good!

Thanks a BUNCH ladies! I took advice from a lot of you, and bought a lot of resusable goodies...paint, stickles, templates etc. Here is a summary of my haul:

-Bunches of the new Prima...flowers, jeweled butterflies, pearls and blingy goodies. I so adore Prima!

-A couple colours of Glimmer Mist (I wanted Pearl but they were out so I got irridescent gold).

-A few of those COOL doodling templates by Crafter's Workshop. Thank you to MommaSaid for the rec, I am going to have a BALL with those I can tell.

-Some pretty paper from BasicGrey, Cosmo Cricket, Pink Paisley and Bazzill Bling CS.

-Some BasicGrey Stamps.

-Some Distress Stickles...I couldn't resist after reading a review that said they were like "shiny dirt!"

-Some Thickers in various colours and sizes.

I got a few other odds and ends, but WOW what fun I had, and no guilt at all since it was a prezzie. Thanks for helping with all your suggestions. You ladies are all so lovely and helpful.

This is a fun thread! I've loved reading what everyone else would get, and thinking about what I'd get.

I would get a bind it all and some goodies to go with it. I'd get the Eskimo Kisses and Urban Prairie lines from Basic Grey. I might even get another clip it up for storing my clear stamps.

I would get some Martha Stewart Punches - especially the Punch Around The Page ones. I would also buy every color of Stickle. And every color of Zing Embossing Powder. Every color of StazOn Ink. Also some Cricut Carts. Lots of paper. Oh! And the pack of all the pretty Martha Stewart Glitters!

As you can see, I have lots of things I want to stock up on!

Happy birthday! I'm sure you'll have a great time using all the goodies you bought. I, too, would have bought the primas stuff except I would have added all the embroidered/stitched papers. I have all the smooch colors and my favorite is the pumpkin.

How about a small or mini airbrush spray system. I've seen one on the tv show Scrapbookmemories on PBS.
With it you can color over just about anything and make our own embellishments and paper designs!
