This title idea seems obvious, but I know I've never done it.

Here are a few ideas from lo's that I have in my faves on Scrapjazz. We might already have some (all ) of these..I have no memory!

I don't know if we already have flowers like the ones she did on this..also, check out how she used buttons on her leaves. http://www.scrapjazz.com/myjazz/index.php?mod=galleries...

GOT THE FLOWERS - actually we have one called paper ribbon flowers - ADDING THE BUTTON LEAVES

A button border http://www.scrapjazz.com/myjazz/index.php?mod=galleries...
added simple and cool

Check out the stained glass look of this frame http://www.scrapjazz.com/myjazz/index.php?mod=galleries...
this may be tricky for a progressive (all the little pieces) but it sure looks worth the time

I like how she cut up the pic on this..also I like how she used paint as a mat http://www.scrapjazz.com/myjazz/index.php?mod=galleries...
no paint under now there is
No idea which category this would fall into, but I love how she used the buttons here http://www.scrapjazz.com/myjazz/index.php?mod=galleries...
I went ahead and made it a step 2 - it seems you would need the space and time early on to plan for it

Button flourish http://www.scrapjazz.com/myjazz/index.php?mod=galleries...

The "old" foam stamps and paint for a title (geez, I have a whole tub of those stamps!!) http://www.scrapjazz.com/myjazz/index.php?mod=galleries...
I think i have some of those some where too

A buttony photo corner http://www.scrapjazz.com/myjazz/index.php?mod=galleries...
simple and brilliant

A border strip made up of punches or diecuts (also like part of the title being handwritten) http://www.scrapjazz.com/myjazz/index.php?mod=galleries...
another easy one to add to step 2

Inked strips of pp to create a mat for the photo http://www.scrapjazz.com/myjazz/index.php?mod=galleries...
i thought i had one for woven strips but I can't even find that example off to add it and work on all the other great idea. THANKS AGAIN!!!

Again thanks jenny. If anyone one else wants to go through their favorites searching for great progressive steps. That'd be great. I'm back upon blogs so I have over 400 to skim and I may get more ideas there, but I'm always game for new stuff.

Also don't forget megan's exceptional idea ... creating an album in your gallery dedicated to progressive challenge layouts. I think that's a great way to inspire anyone new to jump on it. After i get my blogs read and some catch up on these challenges I will get that done. I feel good having this much new for july. The trick will be adding the new in june the current template. looking at the front page the templates a bit out of whack in a lot of spots.

I had forgotten about the idea of making a Progressive album! I'm being a total bum today..except for taking dd to swim lessons...so that gives me something to do!

This has some very interesting techniques that could be used for different steps. http://designmemorycraft.typepad.com/design-memory-craf...

Hey Stacey! Would it be helpful to have a volunteer each take one step of the template to work on updating? We could help you overhaul the template so it is organized, you know, remove duplicates, add in the new stuff, put it in whatever order you tell us, etc. I feel so bad that you have to shoulder all of the responsibility for the logistical stuff, as well as finding the COOL & AMAZING ideas! I know it is fun, but it is also time consuming. You have to find the ideas (fun) but then you have to add them to the template and organize them (not so fun!), so what if we could help?

I would be willing to take one step at a time to work on (when I finish one step, I can volunteer for another, until they are all done), so even if it is just me and you, it should go much more quickly than you doing it alone! Especially that step 4!! (Which in my opinion, would need about 4 people working on it! ) What a doosie that must be to update! And I think there are some duplicates, or at least some similar ones that can be grouped together, in that extensive list

I was also thinking--how would you feel about starting a Progressive Chat thread and a NEW Progressive HQ. This is my logic: The HQ thread is ALMOST 100 pages long (at least if you go with the standard sb.com 50 post per page view). That might intimidate new players b/c you are taken (usually) to somewhere in the middle of a thread when you click on it, not to the 1st page or last page! I know that sometimes if I am looking at swaps or challenges to join and I see that they already have 4+ pages, I will pass up even looking at them b/c I don't want to take the time to "catch up" before joining.....imagine if you clicked and it was a 100+ page thread! VERY INTIMIDATING!!! (At least in my opinion!) So if we made a Progressive Social thread, then we could use that one for chatting and the new HQ thread could just be used for HQ business, like housing the template, answering newbie's questions, maybe have a FAQ section separate from the 1st post.

I also just thought maybe have a "Progressive Challenge" profile, like we have an "Anything Goes Challenge" profile on sb.com. That way more than one person can access it and you do not have to give out your personal password to let others update it. Just another thought.

Well, I think I am doing too much thinking today! I am liable to overwhelm you! So I will stop blabbering and let you consider the many many suggestions I already have provided. Also, Stacey, you know me--no hurt feelings if you disagree! I know this is YOUR creation, your challenge, so if the suggestions are not up your alley, just tell me I am crazy and to keep my mouth shut! hehehehehe! I'm a bit ADHD today and my mind is everywhere! Just let me know if you need or want my help! I will be happy to provide my services

hi to everyone else! Especially all of our FABULOUSLY IMPRESSIVE newbies from June!!!

Megan that is super brilliant and makes so much sense!!!! I'll open the new post and create a user we can all share.

Yah 4 people with hard hats and a construction crew for that step 4!!! Ugggh

But I wouldn't do it if I didn't totally love doing it and love trying new things and always coming back to see where my favorites are housed.
