I have been looking through the forums and I haven't see this question before (unless I didn't go back far enough) What is your favorite die machine exp. Expression, Xyron, and has anyone heard about the E machine or something like that?
The expression is my favorite, but I also like the create and the cuttlebug (I have them all). I have the Xyron Creatopia, but I don't have the die cut component because I have the cuttlebug. I checked out the ecraft machine it seems like it is going to be an awesome machine. Before I bought the create, I considered the pazzles...but I didn't care for the price. They all have pros and cons though....
love my expression and big shot.. had the original sizzix machine. I absolutely adored that until I was able to save up for expression. I am liking the newest sizzix electronic cutter. I may have to look into that. But for now, the cricut gets the job done!
I have my Sizzix Bigshot, a Cricut and a Pazzles machine. I think I use my Bigshot the most as I can use lots of different dies and templates with it. The Pazzles is very useful for cutting titles for scrapbook pages and the Cricut has lots of different cartridges. They all have their pros & cons, you just have to decide which you would use the most
I have the Expression, Big Shot, Cuttlebug, and Silhouette.
Love them all, but had quite a few problems with my Silhouette cutting well on a regular basis. That's why I purchased the Expression. I use it with SCAL and love it!
I have a cricut expression and a silhouette. I had a sizzix. each had pros and cons.
Sizzix- price of dies bothered me. $10-20 per die and I mainly wanted it for alphabets and those seemed really expensive at times. But the machine is cheaper.
Silhouette was my sizzix replacement. I bought it because I didnt want the expense of Cricut cartridges. I LOVE it. You can cut any true font on your computer or any click art you have. Then they have a site where you can download images for $.99 each. This is awesome when you need that special something to finish your pages. Like for example I was having a hard time embellishing my London vacation LO. All the laser cuts I found of the flag were off white, navy and marroon. I wanted white, red and blue. so I went to the site downloaded the flag and made my own. When I was doing my KISS concert pages I wanted the KISS font. Downloaded and the letters look made special just for that page...cuz they were!
But CONS on silhouette-blades seem hard to find- at least in Oklahoma. They dont seem to cut as deep so I use Bazzill Smoothies paper in it instead of textured and go over images twice. Silhouette takes some getting used to, most of my crop friends still need my help to use it. Any questions let me know.
Cricut- I bought because I cant get silhouette supplies local. its not a replacement for silhouette. Cricut supplies are easily avaiable, even walmart carries them. But the cartridges do get expensive and you are limited in what you can cut by the cartridges you have. Its very user friendly though, most people can figure it out after a short demo. Its easier to take to crops since you dont need your computer, the silhouette you have to have the computer.
Sorry I got carried away basically cricut- easy, portable, limited by cartridges
silhouette- hard to get blades and cutting mats but creative freedom.
