Hi Kimmie! Can I come play? I'm trying to get myself back into the swing of scrapping after a long dry spell. LONG.

I'll set my goal at 7 2pg LOs for July. And will pray the mojo comes back.

YAY!!!
So I am running out of PP and I am not finding ANY at the stores that I like! So since dh is coming fri I instructed him to bring some of my pp i lelt at home. So I am on the phone with him and we are discussing the papers i want him to bring and he grabs my Martha stewart paper pack and I tell him i don't need that one. and thinks i need that paper stack b/c he says it is spring colors. Blue, green and yellow. I said okay go ahead and bring it lol I decided to stay a few extra weeks. I was going to go back with DH. But he decided to do a diti move, which is we move ourselves. He wants to make the money and do it himself. So me and Westin will just come back the weekend before we move. What am I suppose to do with a one and a half year old while our house is full of boxes? That is why I hate moving! Oh and not to mention I am stressing out about finding a house! but other than that I am all good.:) How is everyone else? and where is nati? oh and i have taken pics of my LO's and will post them to june tonight after bath/shower.

Okay got everyone so far.

Stephanie, if you leave I will hunt you down and drag you back, just like I did this month!!!

Jade, maybe you can get some water proof paper, cause the only way you're going to get any scrapping down is if you can do it in the pool!!

Better get Amanda some of that paper too.

Sabrina HI!

Hi everyone. Thanks so much for letting me join the group. Right now my house is bulging with my Daughter and her husband and my two grandkids, visiting from Texas. My other daughter has cronic pain and lives with me until her marriage in October, so of course, her fiance is here a lot, too. lol. My house is less than 1000 sq ft so my poor husband finds many reasons to leave for the day this week. We are both retired and I love to scrap, but because of my limited space and love of the computer, I do it digitally. If anything will get you back to scrapping, it is a 4 year-old and a 2 year-old, an engagement party, a birthday celebration and 4th of July weekend at my brother's lakehouse! So, my goal is 10 layouts, 4 cards (combination of digi and paper) and 1 book for the grandkids. Thanks for the boost! I look forward to getting to know you all.

So,
Layouts - 10
Cards - 4
Other (Book) - 1

Please, when commenting on my layouts, critizism and suggestions for improvement are welcome and requested. I am fairly new at this and I like to use digit to scrap traditionally, if that makes any sense. Thanks again -Pam

Hi Ladies!

Thanks for letting me join. If I do anything wrong, please slap me upside the head and let me know about it.

My name is Stacey and I am a Navy Wife and mom to 2 wonderful teenagers. My dd just graduated high school and will be leaving in August for college. I am not dealing with it to well, lol, so just a warning with that. My ds will be a junior in high school this upcoming school year and is taking classes to get certified as a firefighter upon high school graduation. I am a SAHM and have been with my dh since high school. Yep, we were high school sweethearts. Life is a little crazy around here lately and I seem to have lost my mojo and am lucky if I complete 1 LO a month, so I am going to try to resolve that. So, my goals will be:

LO's (2pagers)- 2
Cards - 20
Other (Birthday List Book)- 1

Hi gals...you sure sound like a fun bunch!! I already know a few of you...(-:~~then Angel...the mom...Sabrina. Which, by the way, love the new avi's Nati and Sabrina. (-;

I scrapbook chronologically...which has it's good points and it's bad points. I'm gonna set my goal for 1 layout a day...which equals 31.

I'm almost done with the year 1998...and I've got a list of 11 years plus one wedding album to get done and then I'm current. (I made that list 2 years ago..and I've gotten 4 years worth ticked off) I've got a LONG ways to go. )-;

So, my goal is 31 Layouts. (-;

Hi Nati...so good to see you here~~how's your teeth? All healed up?

Jade - I stand in awe!! You have a toddler...are moving at the end of the month and your finding time to scrap. Obviously...your alot YOUNGER than I am.

Stacey, I'm imagining your pain...my oldest will be a Junior this year and I'm stressing big time about graduation and college...driving...don't even want to think about him leaving the nest. And I have a daughter who's hot on his heels: she's a sophmore...then my youngest is a 7th grader . That should carry me over for awhile longer. Life was so much easier when they were babies/toddlers/children. This teen/young adult thing...not so easy!!

Hi Pam, Stacey (nice to see you again), and Christy!

I'll tell you the one thing that you can write in your book and take it to the grave with you b/c it is the God's honest truth! They pick on me here...which is why I keep leaving...have to go lick my wounds in private! Then, I suck it up....and come back for another round!

Okay.. who am I? hmm.. I used to be pretty active in the challenge threads till I started grad school and POOF went the time and mojo..

Stats are SAHM, 2 hoodlums that are my life, 2 dogs, uhh.. drawing a blank. I'm not that interesting really. lol.

I've been hanging out in the NSBR since starting school and people tend to let it all hang out there.. so if I need my manners corrected for what is acceptable on this thread just let me know.

ok.. that was a pretty dull introduction. lol. Nati I remember you from uhh.. another of Kims threads. Sketch challenge maybe?

Since words are clearly not coming to me today, I'll leave it there. Tomorrow I'll try to get some of the LOs uploaded that I worked on here and there last month when school let out.

Glad to be here and glad to meet you all.

Kim has to step in and be the mediator sometimes

Yes I have a toddler and I dunno how I scrap so much either He keeps me busy! But the weather has been rainy here so we have been stuck inside so I get to scrap off and on. I usually don't get to sit down for long.

Ya'll have me not looking forward to the teen years! I am trying to get thru the climbing on everything stage right now!

I am a military wife so it is moving time again for us. Off to El Paso. Anyone near there? or anyone ever been there and could give me some input/advice? I am freaking out a little bit

Nite ladies. I look forward to seeing what ya'll create and chatting with you!

Alright children (Stephanie and Nati) could you mind your P's and Q's long enough to NOT scare the new members away!?

Here's a bit of trivia for you all...Does anyone know where the phrase P's and Q's comes from? (Without cheating and googling it up.)

Good morning!

You girls are crazy! I love it!

Stephanie, how could you possibly think you are the reason I left JAFF? Silly girl! Truth is, my life got so crazy busy that I have really only been active on here again in the last month or so. I'm back though! I really missed this place and all you wonderful women!

Jade, I have never been there so no help from me on that end. I know how stressful moving can be though. Luckily we just took orders here in VA again which is great cause I have been stressing big time about the possibility of moving away from here and going further away from dd when she goes to college. Everything always seems to work out. I wish you the best of luck!

Today is bill paying and grocery shopping day for me. Ugh! There used to be a time where summer vacation meant my grocery bill was a little smaller since I wasn't buying the items for school lunches (juice boxes, sandwich bags, lunch sacks, small bags of chips). Well, it has gone up now with summer vacation cause now my son is always eating! He is a big boy, about 6' tall, 225 lbs. He goes to the gym everyday to lift weights and he is now up to lifting 345lbs with legs and his body weight in arms. Needless to say, he comes home, brings a friend or two, and after 2 days it looks like I didn't even go to the grocery store. Fun stuff! Not!

Grocery day here too!! I hate going to the grocery store.

When my DS was younger all the neighbor kids came here to snack and drink soda. One time one of them opened up the pantry, looks in and then turns to me and say - Wow, you outta stock!! I hadn't gone to the store yet, it was hilarious!!

Sorry Jade..didn't mean to freak ya out. Just hang on to these toddler moments as long as you can...get lots of pictures...make 'em go S L O W.
The teen years have their blessings too: they can make their own cereal, fold their own clothes, make their own bed, help carry in the groceries, pick on their aging parents...(I think I'm going thru the beginning stages of menapause.)

El Paso...never been there. But how exciting to get to go to new places..it's an adventure!!

Stephanie...I did say it would be F U N!!!! (pass the popcorn, please..)

Only been to Va once for dh AIT graduation before he went to Korea. He Grad from Ft. Lee. You at the base close to Va beach (forgot what it is called)? Your son sounds like my DH! So I now how it feels to have someone that big lol. But you have a growing boy so that is worse. I bet he eats you out of house and home! lol

Good morning ladies!

I really really really hope it rains today. It's been so darn hot (live in Georgia) that the pool feels more like bath water. But it's hard to convince a 3.5 year old that we don't need to go to the pool EVERY DAY.

I bought Ethan's 4th of July shirt yesterday. Last year's shirt was a Rolling Stones tshirt. This year...it's the Grateful Dead's "steal your face" logo in red, white, and blue Of course he has no idea what it is, but it's a skull and he thinks it's "awesome."

Jade, my hubby is stationed in Norfolk but we live in Yorktown. Its about 30-40 minutes from the base. And yes, my son eats me out of house and home and it is worse when he has friends over. 2 days ago, ds and some of his friends went out to eat for lunch. No problem! I will gladly give him money to go eat with his friends so they leave my pantry alone right? Wrong! They all went to lunch and then came back to our house to eat some more cause they didn't get full enough at the burger joint!

Amanda you are gonna make me blush! I got the idea from April (i think) Scrapbook etc magazine. I saw it and had to lift it!! And it has been raining here and now with Alex making landfall we will cont to get more rain!! I wanted to swim this weekend! I wish I could send the rain your way. We haven't swam in a week!

Stacey you don't look old enough to have kids that old! Poor thing you need a side job just to pay for your son to eat ha ha. I am not looking forward to that. My DH has a little bro that is 13 and he spent the summer with once a few summers ago and i thought he ate a lot for his age, but I am sure it is only worse now lol. But now my ds is at the I-wont-eat-anything-that- looks-funny stage

Okay, WHERE did you get that? I'm surprised my Kim hasn't found one for HER Ethan yet, considering how much she likes the classic rock bands.

How close are you to Alex? Is this one of those deals where we need to have you check in every 6 hours or we're sending the National Guard out to find you?

Kim...if this month is anything like last month, I better keep my goals low again. So I'm going to say 10 LO's. Period. I don't have any birthdays in July, and I'm not one to make cards "just because." Frankly, I'll be doing well to do the 10.

Shoot, at this point, I'd be happy just to have time to step in my scraproom again.

I think there are 2 different chat groups going on here. Some people only talk to some people and other people only talk to other people...its like cliques!

Well...hello everyone! I'm not in a clique...unless there is a trouble-maker clique...which would just be Nati & me...maybe Kim...if she's good!

You feel that way?

I probably talk to some people more than others, but it's just because I respond to the things that I think I can contribute to.

Funny you should mention teens and their friends eating you out of house and home. I was that home 20-25 years ago. My girls are 38 and 36. I think I may be the "granny" of the group at 61. This last weekend was a reunion of sorts for the group who "lived" at my house (I was a single mom who worked the graveyard shift so was home, but sometimes trying to sleep.) My oldest daughter is getting married on Halloween so the gang got together to throw her an engagement party. They came from Texas, Colorado and northern Iowa as well as here in town. It was great seeing them and I had to scrap the event right away. Here are my first four layouts for the month.

Jenni - I get E's shirts at Target. He has Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, and now Grateful Dead. I'm pondering going back for the Aerosmith shirt as well. I've also gotten him a classic "Wheaties" shirt that he loves (because it's orange and the dude is playing baseball.

Jade - post the LO and we'll tell you what it needs

Stephanie - you know we got nottin but love for ya! Glad you are back...I missed you!

Those of you with teenage boys are scaring me...Ethan already eats me out of house and home...can't imagine what it'll be like later on!

Oh...I'm not looking for attention...OK...yes I am...I love attention! LOL Nah...just stating what I've noticed the last few months when I'm here. I think even a couple of months back I said something about it.

I just don't want the new girls to get the impression that they don't fit in or something b/c of this, then turn around and leave.

I saw the Aerosmith shirts at target and thought about getting Westin one. He wears 18 months, but dont worry about looking for me. but thanks tho. It isn't that big of a deal. Anyways my mom has been buying him clothes like crazy since we have been here
I don't want Westin to get to the age where he doesn't want to kiss on me I might cry when that happens!
I would post my LO. but it is raining so I can't get a good pic. My mom's house has horrible lighting. Every pics comes out yellow. Maybe I will try to take a pic in the rain under the carport if I get desperate lol be back

With all the bubbles and glasses in the picture I think champagne glasses or a border of champagne glasses would look good. I love the paper and the two pictures!

Sorry, guess I don't know how to reply to one post.

Hey Jade.. I put a suggestion in the comments, but I think I'll change that. I hate doing that cause it's there permanently. lol. I think it's a GREAT LO. The design is fantastic. I'm thinking something as simple as taking a black or brown pen (can't tell which is on that pp) and outline the edges. That can really punch up a LO and make the different elements stand out.

Hi girls! Hope everyone had a nice day. I drove too much, too long, too far today. It was ridiculous. And tiring.

I'm trying to finish planning my pages for the month so I can order my photos and any supplies I need. Alas, I live in the land of no LSS.. and this girl can not survive on M's alone. Or AC Moore's. Or both, really. lol.

OH MY GOODNESS...came back from swimming...finally got to sit down in front of the computer and my box was F U L L!! How am I gonna keep up with everyone and keep my house clean? Oh ya...make the teenagers clean. (-;

Is there some way to bookmark the last page you comment on?

Ok, my dd is grossing me out. She's on a swim team...took her ipod with her to a meet...her earbuds got water on them and stopped working. A male friend took her buds, sucked the water out of them with his mouth and handed them back - good as new. I have no words for this~~~but I'm sure he'll be the kind of guy that loves to change poopy diapers. She may want to hang onto him. (-;

Ok, I'm off to try and reply to some posts.
