I used to love love love the paper bliss and some Jolees as well but going through the gallery I haven't noticed seeing many of those used on lo's? I could be just not seeing it though. lol

I always like the Karen Foster and AMM and K&Co stickers and stuff and always tried to buy my paper and that stuff together.

I still have quite a little stash of those.

Thanks for answering all my newbie questions guys!

First, you use whatever floats your boat. If you love them, use them

In the grand scheme of "trends," stickers are not particularly trendy. However, there are some pretty fabulous artists that can turn a silly sticker into something the rest of us drool over.

Wow I have so much to learn!

My favs are deffinately the paper bliss and those look like something that I could make with the cricut and some ink and chalk.

Wish I had kept up with all the latest trends.

lol

I admit that I am a Jolees Junkie. I love that stuff. I'm not big with the stickers, but I definitely use them if I am working on an album that I want to be thin and not bulky.

I have a huge amount of stickers- that I of coarse dont use. But heres 1 example of putting old stickers to use! All flowers are stickers that i backed with card stock and then pop dotted some. this thread reminds me i need to do a LO with some stickers! Thanks

But then this sorta brings up a different question as to what a sticker is?

Are stickers just the flat ones and also like cardstock ones, and the dimensional jolees and the K&co Grand adhesions? and then too is it if we cut an image with our cricut and run it through the xryon sticker machine do those become stickers?

Jeez i'm getting silly and need to go to sleep! Have a wonderful day everyone!

I love epoxy stickers! I have a ton of flat stickers also, and I do use them when I have a page that fits the theme.

I use stickers at times ... I rarely use them flat though. I'll put pop dots or mount chipboard under them to give it more dimension ... and I usually use them in a cluster.

I use the stickers that came with this Basic Grey paper collection - the letters, the borders and the journaling spot. I would have used some more, but I felt the design just needed me to stop here.

Personally I don't care for stickers that much, I bought a ton of jolee stickers when I first started and still have most of them left. If I get stickers in a kit or something I hang onto them though, because you never know when you might use them for a challenge or the right LO comes along-although I never use just stickers on a LO anymore, they are usually incorporated with other embellies. But that is my personal preference-it comes down to what you like!

As others have said, it's all about what you like. I rarely use the flat stickers anymore, although I will use ones that have more dimension. I tend towards thicker, more dimensional embellies. If I do use a sticker, it's rarely the only type of embellie I use. That same page will usually have flowers or buttons or some other more dimensional embellie, too.

I like to use stickers sometimes. I like the cardstock stickers the most. Usually I use the "word" or "quote" stickers, rather then picture ones. Not a fan of Jolees. Just my opinion.
Like others have said, use what you like. That's part of the fun and creative side of it all.

I started out only using flat stickers (sticker sneeze anyone) and quit using them for years but recently I have noticed that I like a few flat ones (gasp!) and just back with with chipboard or alter them to make them pop more on the page. I also love puffy stickers for my DDs page (but she is only 2 right now and loves to put them on there so I let her!)

Way back when...when I started scrapping stickers were the "IN" thing....so of course I bought my fair share of them. Now I only buy the dimensional stickers...and a few cardstock ones.
Yes, I remember "sticker sneeze"!! A couple of my old layouts did get "sneezed on"!!!

What is "sticker sneeze"? (I am imagining just an explosion of a sticker mess everywhere?)

I've only been scrapping for 2 years so the sticker thing isn't really something I've encountered a lot, though I do use them. Especially alpha stickers when I'm feeling lazy.

Yeah, a sticker sneeze is when your layout has tons and tons of sticker all over them... sometimes when you come back later, you think "why did I have to go and put all those stickers on there?" I've done this plenty of times and have ruined my fair share of pages this way!

I use stickers....Maybe because I am new. I HATE flat stickers so Jolee Dimentional stickers are the ones I like the most. I have bought a ton of them to scrap my trips to Walt Disney World. I also used stickers in all my layouts of my cats so far.

I don't think I am ever going to become an Artist like some on this site that have the most beautiful pages. I just want to display my trip pictures and event pics in a better way than just a photo album. I like what I have done so far and I can't imagine just putting one pic on a layout, or being too fancy...it's not for me so stickers work great for me.

I applaud the people on here that have turned scrapbooking into an art form but for me, it's going to be a few stickers, my pics, lots of matting and that's about it.
Thank goodness I have not suffered sticker sneeze yet. LOL

For me, it depends on the sticker. Sometimes, just one little sticker used in the right way, will highlight a page and maybe take up some space. I'm not a fan of flat stickers normally, but sometimes I do use them. I don't put stickers all over the place, but I do think they can make a page look complete. I prefer the stickers with dimension.

I use plenty of stickers. Lately I've fallen back in love with Sassafras Lass and just bought some more of their Sweet Treats stickers.

This page has sticker letters, plus the journaling cloud, the gingham arrow, and the heart and acorn in the lower left are all stickers.

Hey Babe! By Lstory

I also love SL Felties and BG Woolies, but I'm guessing those aren't considered stickers so much as adhesive felt.

Don't care much for stickers. Didn't buy many. Don't really use many.

Although... I did find some black swirls on clear backing. I LIKE those.

I think it's interesting to hear people say they like Jolee's. I find them ASTRONOMICALLY expensive! I noticed Michaels is now selling a huge variety pack of Jolee's for like $9. I figured it was because people weren't buying them.

I would caution people about epoxy stickers. Someone here posted that they had epoxy stickers 'melt' and 'ooze' on their page.

I have a few favorite ebay sellers that have really great prices on Jolee and they do combined shipping. Sometimes if I just want to finish a quick page I use the title waves...

I love stickers. I just started making my own out of magazine pictures, cardboard and nail polish. I'm having a lot of fun making them. May not buy many stickers in the future.

That's interesting....I've clipped many things out of magazines for future layout use myself, intending to fix them to cardstock first for a little depth. I don't get the nail polish though....is that like a cheaper version of Glossy Accents perhaps??? What happens when you cover the magazine paper with the polish, does it wrinkle or does it come out looking good? Or are you just attaching the paper and cardstock with the polish?...at any rate how does the end product come out looking??? TIA

All I used to use was stickers, esp for letters. Since I got the Cricut I don't use nearly as many, althoughI am still stock=piling them when I see them on sale or in bulk, and use them frequently. They're in a rolling hanging file seperated according to theme, sports, camping, farm/cowboy, kid/toddler, guy stuff, seasons, holidays etc...

I glue them to a piece of cardboard when dry, I apply clear nail polish.(shiny, But not supper shiny)When that is dry, I then add clear nail polish with glitter to the pics I want to have a little sparkle. When all is dry I cut them out. Here is a pic of a few I have done.

How strange is it that I didn't even think of alphas as stickers? In that case, yep, I use stickers a lot more than I said. I love thickers!!!

Exactly. No rhyme or reason, just a smattering because they happen to exist and *maybe* go with the theme of the page.

I love stickers. However I've found that (for me) unlike other embelishments, it's really important that they REALLY match the theme and you don't try to use a variety of brands/styles just because it does fit the theme. Looks like you are just trying to use up stash (like sticker sneeze) to me when those two rules are broken. Just because it's cute on its own doesn't mean it will look cute with everything else from the display rack! LOL

I use them but rarely.

My friend Lisa aka Gelidy Gelato LOVES stickers. She uses them quite a bit & the results are fantastic, she really accents her pages well with them (definitely not the "sticker sneezer" of yore!). Here's a link to her gallery: Gelidy Gelato's Gallery

i use stickers rarely. i am more of a ribbon and button kinda person. i also kinda stay away from using my cricut too much, cause maybe its just a pet peeve, but i notice when things look "cricuty" ha. sometimes you just need to stay away from that machine and that when the stickers and stamps come in handy!

I use cardstock stickers if they coordinate with a specific line. I have tons of old stickers I will never use Dawn

I'm a sticker lady. I ALWAYS have to get the stickers with the coordinating papers. I try not to sticker sneeze anymore, when I first started it was like I had "allergies"

Exactly the same here! I have some really bad ones for sure.

And I can't help it but I always like to buy the stickers that are made to match the paper but I have definately had a hard time not using them all.
