6. Tracy (Tracy F) (2/3)

My projects will be:
giftbag, card, and layout

Just for sharing...

Here's my 1st attempt with making my own colors. The blue and yellow round scallopped pieces in the center were made with the Imagine.

30th Birthday By Tracy F

Here's my card with the twist. I used the Heritage cart for the fence and the tree.

Halloween Card By Tracy F

Here's my latest card. It doesn't fit the theme but thought I'd share it with you all. I used my Imagine to make the green paper and the 2 ovals.

Sympathy Card By Tracy F

Almost forgot to post this one here. I did the twist on this one with the flourishes.

Foxy By Tracy F

Just wanted to drop off one for sharing. The flourishes were all cut with the Home Decor cart or maybe it was the Home Accents cart. I can't remember. lol

Sweet By Tracy F

Dropping off my latest project.
I used my Imagine to print and cut the images onto iron-on transfer paper then ironed them onto the onsies. These are for my new dgd that is due mid Dec. or sooner.

Hi Ladies...

I can't begin to tell you how much I loved this challenge. I love using my Cricut and the project ideas really encouraged me to think outside a layout page. I also loved that I had 3 months to pull it together. Can't wait for the next round.

11. Cori (troylet) (3/3) = DONE!

I'm going to do a card, a layout and a tag. (And, knowing me, there's likely to be an inchie or two in there somewhere.)

Well, in the interest of sharing Cricut projects, here are two recent ones I did that I am particularly proud of. They don't qualify for this challenge, but I used the Cricut quite a bit for them.

Oh, deer! By Troylet

Rain By Troylet

Here's a fall-themed one for sharing. I am planning another layout for this challenge with the twists, but I am so happy with this one that I wanted to share it.

Fall Walk By Troylet

Here's my fall card -- with the twist (trees, fence)! I used the "My Community" cartridge for the trees and fence.

Fall Thank You Card By Troylet

Thanks for looking!
~Cori

Evening! Finished my second project, a tag. It's going on a set of monogrammed cards I made for a friend's birthday. I used George for both the tag and the flowers (the twist!). Anyway, here it is:

Happy Birthday Tag By Troylet

And here it is on the gift:

Set of Monogrammed Cards with Tag By Troylet

I've been using mine a ton. :-P Just wish I had more cartridges.

Here's my third, and final, project for this challenge, a layout! With the twist (flowers).

Those are 2 of my most faves as well Michelle (Home Decor & Storybook!)...I think I may have even bought them at the same time.

Animal Kingdom is also fun!

I'm so out of the loop on any of the newer carts it isn't even funny!

Instead, I saved up all year and like Miss Bonnie just made a major purchase! That's all I'm saying!

p.s. The jury is still out on the Imagine. The price is completely crazy, but contrary to some opinions, I especially like the concept!

I'm moving my Cricut as we speak. I need to have better access to it.

As far as carts, I think the last 3 carts I bought were during last Christmas. I need to break them in.

I haven't been to the Cricut site or message boards & can only imagine all the really cute carts that came out this year. (Heritage, French Manor, Yummy, etc. etc!)...Provo sorta overwhlmed me & I just purposely quit looking!

In many ways it's a good thing that the nearest Michael's is 6,000 miles away!

There was a bit of confusing info being put out yesterday.

One of my main questions are the mats.

I'm so sick of going through them & still need to restick the one that I have.

When I saw the 'new & improved mat' that is being put out with the Imagine, I thought wonderful!

However, later in the day, I read that it was only for the Imagine. Hopefully, that can't be right!

Another observation was the fact that the Cricut demostrators were just lifting the cutouts up without scraping or using the spatula whatsoever!

Hopefully, the new mats will be something we can easily purchase & or they won't cost an arm & a leg!

The ladies that buy off of ebay forever rave away, so I know it must be a good source!

I use to buy them off of creative express & even heard that someone just picked some up for $15, as recently as yesterday! Not sure which ones, but at that price, I'd probably make myself have to buy at least something!

Something else that I am long overdue to get done, is to print out the cheat sheet/full page preview pages for my carts.

If I find the recent thread on the topic, I'll come back & post it for all!

I've had my expression for two months and I'm still trying to figure out all the things it can do. I'm already signed up for a number of challenges and I'm too busy for one more.

May I just "stalk" around here to see what great things you come up with and try to learn a few new tricks? I promise to leave sweet love when I'm around, and I'll try to avoid being a pest.

So, I was able to go back and find the original wording for the mats that sorta sounded confusing to me.

• Uses a separate mat than original Cricut machines

I don't know why exactly it's worded that way. From that description statement, I would think it could go either way.

A new seperate mat specifically for the Imagine, other than the original OR seperate in design from the original. We know it's the latter regardless, but I'm just curious about the specifics.

Also 1) How often they'll need to be changed out 2) Availability & 3) The cost.

Some of these were helpful & some not so much. For the ones that were 9 pages long, I just printed the last 3 - 4 pages which either had the example pics, shapes or alphas.

The thing about having to look them up from various sites, meant that I had to see the Cricut Carts Lists in their entirety.

Let's just say, before I printed the ones I have, I ended up printing just as many of the ones that I especially want. I think I finally stopped myself once the pile starting getting too thick.

In all honesty, there's really only 3 that I can probably manage to justify purchasing.

In the meantime, I can totally just wait until Christmas & keep saving again!

One thing I have already found helpful in addition to seeing what all I have, is what I already have & don't need doubles of.

Say for example, cupcakes. Or apples. Or trees. etc. After awhile, once you have more than 1 on a cart, they all sorta start to look the same!

Yay! Way to start us off Lisa, with an extra cute LO!

If that doesn't put us in a fall mood, I don't know what will!

Well, I got my Imagine up and running but it seemed to take forever. So far I like it but I haven't done much with it yet. I played around with making my own colors and I was pretty impressed with how it came out.

Here's my 1st attempt with making my own colors. The blue and yellow round scallopped pieces in the center were made with the Imagine.

Got your project added Tracy!

How fun to be able to play with your new toy!

Mine won't arrive until the 2nd week of October. I think I was number 7,000 something of the 10,000 that were sold this month. Hopefully, it's not much more backordered than it already is!

(this is me oh-so patiently waiting!)

Hi Toni! Welcome!

Sure thing! You're in!

You didn't miss a thing. We took an extended break from this challenge over the summer & just recently posted it mid-month.

The other really good news is, the challenge takes place from season to season. So, we actually have from September to the end of November to complete this particular challenge!

Since I gave in, looked & have since ordered a few, I figured it was time to update the A-Z List.

Here it is...

Happy Shopping!

I am the proud hoarder of 27 cartridges, but I can see that I have some shopping to do.

I got my first several carts on ebay. Now, I usually buy from customcrops.com. They have a good selection and great sales. I have to say that I am both interested in and annoyed by the Wal-Mart carts.

Off to select my categories....be right back...

Narrowing my choices was difficult. That is one impressive list of possibilities.

I'd like to try my hand at a frame, a giftbag and placecards for our Thanksgiving table.

I am lovin' this!

I don't have many cartridges, but I can always steal from my mom (sopa1954) ... can I have spot No. 11? I'm going to do a card, a layout and a tag. (And, knowing me, there's likely to be an inchie or two in there somewhere.)

Great inspiration Kelly, Thanks!

Here's my card with the twist. I used the Heritage cart for the fence and the tree.

I have a question. What is Cricut Companion? Does it work in an expression or does it use a completely different machine?
