Who doesn't like handmade flowers? I know that I do! I ran this challenge a while back and had a lot of fun with it. I'm going to run it a little differently this go 'round.

The due date for all flowers to be received by me is March 1st.

**Place your flowers in individual bags for each member in your group. Be sure that your screen name and your name are included on each bag. This makes it easier and quicker for me to swap them out.

Make sure that when you mail your flowers to send the amount of postage that it took to mail it plus 2 extra postage stamps, as the flowers that you receive in return may weigh more than what you sent in. If those stamps are not needed, I will return them to you.

**Make 3 flowers for each person in the group that you are in.** You can make any type of flower that you wish, as long as the main color is the same as the group that you signed up for. Have fun with this swap!

You can make paper posies, roses, ribbon flowers, tulle flowers, folded flowers...anything that you can think of. The sky is the limit with this swap.

Mail all flowers by the deadline to:
Amy Hudson
1164 N 1st St
Carbon Hill, AL 35549

When I receive all of the flowers, it will take me a day or so to swap them out and get them back in the mail to you. I assure you that I will do this as quickly as possible so that you can get them back and get started using them on those layouts, cards or altered projects.

**Don't forget to include a self addressed return mailer with your flowers**

Please feel free to ask any questions or make any suggestions.

I want to join just trying to figure out what color to do. Pink is my favorite but probably wouldn't use too much. So it's a toss up between blue and white.

Amy can I be so greedy as to take a place in EACH spot. Now that I have a large flower punch and found how to make ruffles flowers I'm a flower making machine.

Ladies I failed to mention earlier to send a self addressed return mailer with your flowers. If you don't send one, I do have a few extra manilla mailers, but they don't have the bubble liner. Thanks!

If any open in blue, red, white or black, I'd take those too.
I love making flowers and with sons, don't get to use them enough.

I'm having a blast making flowers. Since I chose to do a spot in each color, I've got a job cut out for me, but the red ones are already done and I'm working on yellow now. Do we post our flowers in our gallery? I'd like to see examples of other swappers.

we're finally seeing some of our snow melt. It started snowing last Sunday about 9:00 pm. By Monday am we had about 5-1/2 inches of powder. It remained very cold until yesterday (Thursday)when the sun finally came out. Each night the melt and slush refreezes. As of today (Friday) we still have about 2 inches of ice in out backyard, but the driveway and roads are clear. This is unusual for the "sunny south". A rare but beautiful sight. I didn't get further than my mailbox until I had to go to the doctor's yesterday. A fire in the fireplace, my laptop, Cricut and TV was all I needed. Oh yeah, hot chocolate and popcorn helped too.

I've got to take photos of the two sets that I have made and post them as well. I have my pink and purple sets done.

I also signed up for a spot in each group. The good thing is that we have plenty of time to finish them.

Kay, I live in Northwest Alabama. We got 6 inches of snow in my little town. It is finally trying to melt as of today. There is still a couple of inches of snow on the ground here. Did y'all get snow on Christmas Day in Georgia? We did, and it was beautiful!

I'll be in my "space" this afternoon watching loads of sports and hopefully working on my flowers. I got the hockey game on at 1:00; the first football playoff at 4:30 and then the other football playoff at 8:30. Hmmmmm, who'd going to make dinner???????

LOL Amy, actually I did stop for dinner. I made a nice roast with baked potatoes! It was nice to have a comfort meal since it's been so danged cold here.

I watch all my sports, spent most of the day in my 'space' (had to come up for air to do some chauffering for dd2 and dinner), did 2 LOs and redid another one; but didn't get to my flowers! I can't decide what to make.

Are they supposed to be all the same; or can they be different types of flowers but all the same color??

Yes we did have snow on Christmas day. It was the first measurable snow on Christmas day since 1884. What a treat. My dog "Dottie" had a blast playing and making "yellow snow". When it snowed this week she was worse then a little child, wanting to play, getting cold and wet, coming in to get towelled down and warm, then going back to the door to go out again. This went on all day in the 5-1/2 inch snow. Oh what fun.

I've made one set of purple and 2 sets of the orange.
I wasn't planning to make them all the same - as long as the 3 in each bag coordinate well. Hope that is okay. Let me know if not before I make too many.

And I love sharing and seeing the flowers ahead of time, so I do hope you'all post them here as well. Fun to look forward to.

Serious Dilemma!

I have made 7 black lace flower bases, Yes, I know, I only need make 4 of each of the 3. But for some strange reason they keep disappearing! Last night I got really frustrated and told my DH to lock the office gate so the lil Bug does not grab the stuff (my TH ink pad collection? OH! don't even go there!)

When I went to bed (bare in mind, I've got a nasty cold and some fizzy stuff was involved )I had this weird dream. My boys are standing over a casket and said "mom, we found these in your room! We did not get live flowers because we know this is what you wanted." Hundreds of lil black lace flowers come pouring out of this huge paint bucket over the casket! Scared me to death (pardon the pun)! Okay, no more Alke Seltzer cold and flu for me!

I have looked everywhere, searched all my lil ones favorite hiding places and I'm not finding the missing flowers. I'm stumped and making another one. CROSS YOUR FINGERS! Pray to the homemade flower goddess that I am able to complete this one w/out intervention of lil hands or paws(every small individual is a suspect)!

I'm off...

My puppy has stole my scrappy stuff before. So frustrating. I don't have a door to the scrap space (area off family room) so I can't lock her out. Grrrr

Amy, we have baby gates closing off areas where we don't want our furry friend, Sadie. It works out well.

I have made my pink flowers, purple flowers, and blue flowers. Now I think I'm going to get started on the yellow ones.

Our 'office' is the living room area of the house...NOT BIG it's about the size of a bedroom and the front door and entry are there too! The Baby Gate is our peace of mind! This one is excellent but every so often we find that somehow a four legged or two legged gets in under the radar! The gate is over 3 years old and has had a lot of abuse! Not advertising for anyone, this is the best photo I've seen and I like this baby gate soooo much!

Still looking for the missing ones and all the ribbon flowers are NOW on the very top of the bookcase. I DARE someone or something to get them now! If something does happen...we're calling Ghostbusters.

I was just catching up on posts. I spent the last two nights in the hospital and got a little behind. I ended up with fluid in my lungs for some reason, but am better now. I've got three sets of flowers don, red, yellow and orange, and I'm working on the blue ones now. I'll post pics as soon as I can. Lovin' it.

Maryann, that looks like an awesome gate! Mine are the wooden type with metal mesh in the middle. We keep our little Sadie bug in the living room, dining room, and kitchen area. She isn't allowed anywhere near my craft room since the last time that someone let her in there...she chewed a whole new roll of leather cording!

Stacey, that is usually what happens! You misplace something and then you do it over only to find the originals. When you find them, you'll just have a headstart on some more for yourself!

I have almost finished all of mine. I only need to make the white ones. I'll have to take photos of them and get them posted. I love how the black ones turned out!

Amy, pretty flowers

I made some fabric flowers and my 3 year saw me making them and had me show him how to sew. He did pretty good.

Just have to make some centers for one group.

Good morning ladies!

Michelle, I think that all boys should know how to sew. I'm going to teach mine. It's a skill that might come in handy some day...you never know!

So my son had a doctor's appointment and took my flowers to work on there. Eventually they, the office staff, realize we were there for an appointment and not just waiting to pick someone up. Of course this is after all the other people left and they are turning out lights. My son played his game and I was busy with my flowers I didn't even notice we sat in the waiting room for 40 minutes.

Forty minutes is not a very long wait. I have waited in the doctor's office for 6 hours!! That's crazy! I told my doctor that he was getting to be like the cable company...make an appointment for 8:00 and you'll be seen sometime between 8:00 and 5:00!!

I got my flowers done I hope to get them out in the mail towards the end of the week.

Stacey, good thing you had your flowers to work on. Just too bad they realize it earlier.

JCI. BAD cold throughout the house. If we're not careful they may quarantine us! Everyone who comes near us gets sick! Now aren't you glad this is an online thing? Not working on flowers This whole mess makes it difficult to do small handwork. But I do have half done!

Have fun gals!

Maryann, I hope that everyone is better soon and that you guys don't have to be quarantined.

You all still have plenty of time to get those flowers done. They aren't due until March 1st.

I hope you get a chance to take a pic and post in the gallery before you ship off. Love to see them all- even those that I'm not in that group.

As a recipient of some of Amy's goodies in the past, her work is fab. You just can't imagine the details a camera misses!
