Welcome to the July Budget Challenge! We're here to stay within limits on our scrappy spending!!!

Our illustrious hostess Alissa needs a break so I am taking over for July - you might say some of us are guest hostessing for the summer at least! I just hope we don't have to bust before the month starts as part of the contract...

The rules: List your budget for the month of July that you want to spend on supplies. Then, list the high priority items that you want to buy this month!

The catch: You can spend your money on whatever you want, list or impulse, but you must buy at least half of the items on your wish list!!! For example, if you list 10 items, you have to buy at least 5 of those and have me strike them off your list, etc. Please, make sure to tell me when I am supposed to strike off an item!

Tell us how much you spend throughout the month, and I will keep track of it in this post. We like details about your shopping around here. No such thing as TMI! You do not have to include costs for adhesives, swaps, gifts or shipping.

Please enable and tempt us to buy the wonderful items we want....but don't tempt us to bust our budget!!!

TWISTED!!! List at least one thing you are not allowed to buy for the whole month.

Ok, debated on doing this or not since I suck at it! But since unemployment runs out this month I'd best do my darnedest to stick with it.

Budget = $10
wish list = anything needed for swaps only
twist = nothing personal for myself

Since my Silhouette subscription is automatic until January, I'm not including that in my budget. Hopefully I have enough stuff in my stash, I won't need anything for any swaps. I'm all caught up with all my swaps to date.

Well, you know, Js online was having a really good sale. I worked and reworked my cart a lot and finally got it down to things I really wanted/needed and no willy nillies. And then I impulse purchased at HL. I did go to As with intent to use my coupon but did not buy anything there. See? I have self control.

Another $20. Won some stamps on ebay.

I haven't bought rub ons in a long time. Maybe a year. They're not hard to pass up. I do still have issues walking past a pack of brads.

Bidding on more stamps. Going on a stamp binge, I guess. May as well call myself busted for the month. Will be shopping my mom and sister (both scrappers) and have a big shopping day planned with Krissy... Somebody stop me!

Yay Vivian - it always feels good when you get something you have wanted for a long time.

I heard today that my disk for My Digital Studios is in for pickup - woohoo!!! I can't wait - I think I am going to do all my trips now digitally. This is part of an SU program so we shall see how it works out for me but I was soooo impressed by my friend's Grand Canyon album that I made the leap.

Ok, I totally suck. I had ordered some leaves last month, but the money was returned because they were out of stock. Went to reorder the leaves today (back in stock) and some flowers jumped in my cart too. Please deduct $7.00, and I think I blew my twist. Shame on me!

I probably have more than 1000 flowers in my collection. I so didn't need those flowers. Heck, I almost exclusively make my own flowers. What in the world is wrong with me? I can't pass up a pretty.

well not as dangerous for sure to one's health. So have any of you seen the Prima sneak peeks for CHA - even I could go overboard there.

I love making my own stuff and really can't stand spending the money on things I can make myself. Even the pretties. . .

I'm gonna try and take a flower making class later this month. The flowers are more flat for scrapbooks.

I do not have the dexterity required to do such delicate work as Vivian does! Nor I think the patience.

Tina, I can't wait to see your LO.

Courtney, flower making is fun. I think once you take the class, you'll love being able to make your own customized embellishments.

I want to make my own flowers, but just buy them. I have 3 jars and a tube. They are expensive and I never find the colors I want.
