I know Steph was sick. I am sitting here working on my Christmas cards. I am almost done with the 1st one sample. I am having such fun doing it cause I now have my Martha score board & my Big Shot & my new Basic Grey Snowflake die that I am using. THat makes it fun!
What are all of you guys doing this weekend? Anyone working on scrappy or craft stuff or Thanksgiving cooking? Or cleaning??
It is great to see you DEAR friends!!

Hello, haven't seen this thread in a while.

I'm hope to be working on this project this weekend

http://www.scrapbook.com/forums/showtopic.php?tid/15666...

Going to stop at HL after work and get a few TH metal things that I saw last week.

Happy scrapping - going to avoid cleaning as long as possible.

Hey Peg!! Glad you will be working too. I just saw your other thread. I posted another idea too. I have in my favs a layout someone did where they put the census on it. You can see them on the library ancestry section online. They are the originals. You just print them out & they look just like them when printed. You can actually get the exact address of that house. They made them every 10 yrs. I will put that layout here. If you would like, I am on Ancestry.com & they have them there too. I can find them for you if you would like. I would need to know your ancestors last name. What city & state the house is in. I will put this layout in the next post so you can see it.

This weekend I'm going to use the new MS score board that I just purchased I cannot wait to make some cards. Then I'll do some laundry, light house cleaning and making sure the kiddos do their homework. We live too far from our family to have a Thanksgiving Feast But we will have our own family celebration at the beach, sandsculpting contest happening this week!

Hi Sue, Great you are working on stuff too! You are right about that scoreboard. I have only had mine for a few months. I think how the heck did I do without it all these yrs?? Hey we all have to do cleaning too! I am sorry you are too far to go to your family next week. It is great you have your own celebration.

Don't feel too bad!! I wanted it for years but money was very very tight. I did have a an old big red Sizzix & a Tag along but I was coveting those bigz dies & spellbinders too. My son gave me the money to buy it for Mothers day this yr and I had a coupon. Then he gave me money for dies on my birthday which was in June ao I was so excited. I also feel like how did I ever live without this one??

I am alive, Right now we are having wicked high winds and there is a fire south of town. It's about 2,000 acres now and Since last night we have had 30-80 miles per hour wind. But beside that I am doing up the wash and then Will be add the finshing touches to a few project. Last night I spent a good 3 hours take photo of some stuff i had done up. Once I am done with all that i need to go edit photo and get them up on line.

Scrappin' all day tomorrow!!! Hope to get a lot done--and I should since it'll be a small group of my scrappy friends at the crop (and not the most talkative ones either). I'm a little worried because it's a new location for this crop--I'm used to taking a "in case of emergency" bag of supplies with me, but the parking lot is a lot further away than I'm used to for crops, so I'm not sure if I want to deal with that (and just take everything!) Also concerned because it's a huge building and the "Plug your bug" tables are far away from where we are sitting (not my choice...) so we'll see...in the end I'll be away from my boys all day so it'll all be good!

Yep! I'm working on cleaning up my scraproom after finishing my mom's easel calendar birthday gift! I'm absolutely buried, and I NEVER work that way! I can't stand it - I feel like I'm suffocating in here.

I started cataloging mine yrs ago. I only do it from time to time because I have tons too. I put all of mine on the scanner & printed them out. When I buy others, I can just stamp them on that sheet. I hope the laundry goes quickly.

I am still here. Last night I got my cards all cut, scored & folded. YEAH I also found Peg those census sheets for her old house pic layout. I also found another of her family members on ancestry.com who had wedding & other pics of that same couple. She didn't have them.
I had planned this weekend to work on my Christmas cards, doing some genealogy. I met 4 cousins on Ancestry.com that I did not know. I knew their Aunts or Mothers years ago. We email & work on genealogy all the time. WE send photos & other family papers to ea other. We also have great fun trying to id some of them that are unmarked.
I will be working on that for a few hours & then I will switch back to my cards for a break. lol
my dd just invited us for dinner tonight at 8. She is a great cook. lol

I have been working on cards for the Kids Camp. I made 12 cards already,,I want to be able to make at least 50 to send in by next year. I also moved my scraproom around, I put My desk and tables in a different side of the room. It was alot of work to move so I hope I like the new Layout. It will probably take some getting used to. Have a great weekend.

Got nine of the twelve pages done in the Christmas gift album for a friend. Still no concrete ideas on my Christmas cards but I think I'm just going to be doing a lot of things to use up Christmas scraps. I thought the Countdown album would reduce my Christmas stash, and it seemed like it grew. I thought this album for my friend would reduce my Christmas stash, it still seems like it's growing. Hopefully the cards will help, but that's for next weekend.

I finished the remaining three pages and mostly finished embellishing the cover. It is clear acrylic so you can see the first page behind it, and I didn't want it to be plain. So I chose the first page behind it to be one that had some empty space, and last night I wrapped a wide ribbon around the clear cover so it would lay over the empty space. On top of that I put a metal-rimmed tag with a sticker on it, and on the backside of the cover I'll add another (made with love etc. etc. Christmas 2011), I just need to get it written out and attached. Then it will be done and I'll need to take pictures of it before wrapping it up.

Bought a pack of 25 card bases and envelopes yesterday also, and a new pack of ATG adhesive since the mini-album ran me through a lot of it. All I need to do this weekend is figure out what to glue down, ha ha.

And a big HUGE THANK YOU for your generosity of time and skills and to do this. I am so excited to add the census sheet to my old house pic and the person you found on ancestry.com sent me a few other files with family tree info and some pics. So again THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

I hope it didn't take too much time away from your projects.

I didn't get a chance to work on any scrap stuff this weekend. Friday night I wanted to, but DS had a friend over for a while and during that I cleaned up my scrap area, but that's as far as I got.

Saturday I was up super early, ran some errands, got home, straightened up and took a nap, then went to bingo.

Yesterday the cleaning was calling my name so I did that and went to dinner at my moms. Was going to scrap last night after DS and DH went to bed, but then spent 1.5 hours on the phone with friend.

Hopefully tonight!
