This is a swap for the Spellbinders Die Cuts that we all know and love!! I've been wanting to do this for a while, but didn't know the best way to set it up. So I did some research, and found on another forum how they set it up, and it seemed to work well. So I am going to follow their lead, and we'll see how this turns out!!

So here's how it will work. I'm hoping to get about 10-15 people to sign up.(I may split this up into groups, depending on what everyone thinks, and how many people sign up.)

**Sign ups will CLOSE February 14th. NOW CLOSED. Groups filled early.

Each person will say what die they have, and will be submitting for the swap. Once that die is spoken for (for submitting purposes), then no one else can sign up to submit that particular die. (just so we don't get lots of duplicates.)

For each die you sign up for, you will need to cut THREE dies, of each size in the pack, PER person in the group. Each die needs to be cut on quality WHITE cardstock, so that way it can be stamped on, inked, or covered with paper.

The due date will be March 16th (in my hands), to allow plenty of time for cutting.

When you're ready to mail, please put your dies in a ziploc bag with your name, sb.com, and name of the die. Include the same amount of postage it took to send in, plus TWO extra stamps, just to be on the safe side. All extra postage will be returned.
Please use a quality envelope, so it can be re-used. If you don't want to get a quality envelope, include a return envelope.

Please mail to:

I'm in! I'll do Labels #2. I want to make sure I'm understanding you correctly. There are 6 dies in this set. So I'll be making 30 cuts of this die per person? Also, if you break it into two groups can we sign up for the other group but sign up for a different die than group 1?

You are correct. Thats what we decided in our discussion...and it's also why I put a really far out due date.
I was experimenting today, and I could cut through two layers of cardstock...which might speed things up. I just don't know if it will ruin the dies?

Yes, you can. I will be opening up several groups, after getting a few messages, and thinking about it.

Do you think we should reduce the # of dies/sizes to 3 per person?

It's up to you. I don't mind doing the 5 but others might think doing 3 might be more manageable. I'm good either way.

Great, I'll put you down. I am going to change it to 3. I think that would make it more rewarding. Not TOO much work, but enough to make you want to do it, knowing what you'll get in return.

Pull up your item in the store. Look to the right of the shopping cart button. In that column you'll find a button that says "Embed." Click the button. In the next screen, select IMG CODE, not HTML. Then copy and paste the code in the box you see below the line that says "Copy and paste the embed code below" into your message here. Good luck.

Hi everyone:

With the die cuts I am doing do you have any idea what kind of paper you would like i.e. patterned paper or plain paper or speciality paper and do you have any ideas what colours you would like? Or would you like to be surprised?

Oh I made a mistake. The only thing is is that the dies I have chosen would be better on coloured paper (especially the rose creation die and the intricate parisian die). I have a lot of different coloured and patterned paper so I am flexible. You can order what you like i.e. patterned paper in pink or plain pick paper (double sided). Again let me know what everyone thinks.

I was going to use heavy white CS, my thoughts were that if people didn't want to use it as a mat they could stamp or mist it. I have misted the rose creation dies (homemade mist and store bought) and it turned out great.

Would a nice white Brazil paper be acceptable for the die cuts? I might send one set extra in coloured patterned paper as well.

I'm fine with adding squirmy to group 1.

I agree with Corrie on the white card stock. Plus is says to use it the rules above. That way if you want something a different color to match what you are working on you can mist, ink, chalk etc.

Bazzil is a good card stock to use. I think any kind of white card stock would be fine.

If people are going to stamp and color it might be best to use white non textured CS, I am going to use my Wassau 120lb, its very white and smooth.

You do not need to send one in for yourself. Just send in 5 sets (because you're cutting 3 dies of each in your set, per person in the group). But please make sure to clearly label your ziploc bag.

Yes bluucaca. So if your set has 5 dies in the set you'd cut 3 of each die in that set. So it would be a total of 15 cuts per person.

The bubble envies can be reused. The hostess just peels off the postage and afixes the new. The end that's opened is taped back closed and off it goes! I write reuse on the front and back of the envie so the hostess knows you want it reused. HTH
