CI and got ACU.
Didn't get anything done in my scraproom today. Prob not tomorrow either, my oldest DGD is a fish, I swear! All she wants to do is go to the pool. Thankfully I live 2 minutes from the closest rec center, so we went twice today. I asked what she wanted to do tomorrow and I got the same answer, swim!
But at least it's close and free!

Dawna, I don't work till 4,5 or 6 pm- so I have all day to scrap, if nothing else is going on.

Trish, no wonder your able to scrap before work. I had these visions of you up at 3 a.m. in your scrap room working away till 7 a.m. to get these beautiful lo's done 'before work'! That's what I get for thinking! Thanks for straightening me out Trish! Have a great day!

Oh you ladies are killing me! Just the thought of getting up early has my head spinnin!! Me and early don't get along!! Plus, I only work about 20 hrs a week. So that helps out with having craft time! Of coarse I do have 3 kids 6 and under hanging on me all the time.

Good morning!

I am CU and the first page is updated. Diana I could not get your Tulips on there because it does not allow public embedding-If you can change it I can get the photo on instead of the link to your gallery

I have a layout finished (that I stated early last month!) and a layout that has been on my desk for 3 days now-I am going to try to finish it today. I seem to have lost my mojo.

Will check back in late.....hope you all have a great day

JCI. Had a pretty crazy couple days but everything is on the truck and on the way to Denver. We will leave Friday morning. They finished a day early and the kids have plans tomorrow so we will stay and say goodbye's. The moving truck backed up into our Honda and totaled it. Totally bummed. Not the time to have to deal with new cars. Felt so bad for the driver. He was mortified. Ugh.

Wishing I was Tracy right about now. What a great haul. congrats.

checking in ....life got crazy real fast ....medical emergency w/dd had me running her to specialists ..... turns out she has ITP which is short for the longest medical term Ive ever heard and cant begin to pronounce! .....basically she had an allergic reaction to her platelets and her body destroyed most of them .....normal count is 150,000 -350,000 her count was down to 9,000 .....extremely dangerous! .......while they work to help her build up her count she has to be extremely careful not to injure herself as she could bleed out or die from internal bleeding ....she is a school teacher (the year ends fri) which is not an issue but she also teaches dance which she is strictly forbidden from doing until her levels get closer to normal .....this has been a major scare for us! ......she lives alone and wants to return to her life but Im scared to let her out of my sight!

sorry for the novel just needed to share .....Im hoping to get back to scrapping soon (I tried to talk her into scrapping with me )

Also that she remains free from injury! You have many more pressing matters than scrapping right now, so take good care of yourself darlin!

Good morning!

Michelle many prayers for your daughter-I'm glad they found out what was wrong sooner rather than later, I'm sure it has been a rough couple of days. Big hug to you my friend.

Oh no Lisa! Timing is not good, but now you can get a new(er) car maybe-go for something with great gas mileage (Red and sporty is also an option!)

I have finally finished packing my closet....Hello my name is Norma and I am a clothes and shoes hoarder.....
Goodwill is going to LOVE me, but I am still shocked at of the amount of things I am taking with me. Does everyone else have "skinny" clothes, "regular" clothes and "fat" clothes? I hate to admit I have not worn the skinny clothes in a couple of years and should get rid of them but I keep telling myself I AM GOING to LOSE WEIGHT!

Still playing in the scrap room and not getting anything finished...Seems everything I want is in Plano-hate having my scrap room in 2 places-I may have to go shopping for scrap supplies

Ya'll have a GREAT day

Good morning!

Lisa, what a bummer! The last thing you need to deal with right now is a totaled car. Good luck with your travels on Friday.

Michelle, I don't blame you for not wanting your dd out of your site. I hope her counts rise soon.

Michelle, I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter. At least they've figured out what's wrong and she's on the way to recovery. It must have been frightening for you. Keeping you and your daughter in my prayers.

Lisa, Too bad about your car. Just what you need in the middle of a move! During one of my moves, the movers hit a neighbors car and just drove away. The neighbor came over and told me and I gave them directions over to our new home where the mover was going. About an hour later, over at the new house, cop cars with sirens blaring came flying in to our driveway. I could have died! What a way to make an entrance into a new neighborhood!

Norma, I use to hold onto my skinny clothes but during my last move I got rid of all of them. I figure if I do lose weight then I'll go treat myself and buy new clothes!

there is so much going on here.

2 little boys are interrupting me so i forget the names, but

-sorry about the car. i'm sure you had a lot of things you wanted to pack and drive with you during your move

-i hope the platelet girl is ok. that is so scary. i'm glad you caught it before she fell or something.

-norma- get rid of the skinny clothes. then when you lose the weight you get to go shopping.

the boys are actively trying to get my attention. it probably means its time to feed them again. lol

Melanie - I'm sorry, I had to giggle at your comments on your boys! Is that what I get to look forward to?

Michelle - Holy smokes what an ordeal! Hope your dd gets better soon!

Norma - I cut a lot of my 'skinny' clothing out when we moved in Feb. There just wasn't any room for my 'someday' clothing. Of course, mine were about 6-7 years old. I can't believe I was EVER a 4!! Didn't get rid of nearly as many shoes though... Clothing sizes may change, but the shoes always fit! Our biggest problem is DH and I are BOTH clothes and shoes hoarders... I took 6 bags of clothing and 1 box of shoes to the Salvation Army and they all but gave me a medal of honor! Go ahead, toss those and you can go shopping when you do loose the weight you want to!

Life's crazy for me at the moment... I'm in countdown mode to due-date (June 20), my parents came in town on Monday, we've had water pipe problems in our building and I can't even get to my scrappy stuff with all the baby stuff we have in the house! I'm drowning in onesies!!

Oh the countdown is on for SonjaC! So exciting!

Norma, your closet sounds like mine. I finally parted with some of skinny clothes back in the winter. Doubt I will ever be a 6 or an 8 ever again. I like to eat too much! And I have my regular clothes and I do have a section of fat clothes too. The fat section just keeps growing for some reason!

I do, I do, how bad are we? I have a 20# swing when it comes to weight. I've always kept a few things in each size, then a few years ago when I lost weight i got rid of all the big sizes, cuz I was never going to get big again. Well now I'm there and have nothing to where:(

I'm with you Anna, TGIF!

Well excavation on our broken pipe started yesterday and continues today. I get to go to card class today and DH is going to babysit the contractors. I'm grateful for the chance to get out of the house, I've been cooped up here for weeks while I've been recouperating. Also have a hair apt today so that should really lift my spirits!

Norma, save a fav pair of skinny jeans and ditch the rest! I'm all for treating yourself to a few new things when your ready! And you never know when those fav jeans will come in handy!

Blessing for a great day ladies...

Sonja what an exciting time for you-this time next month you will be holding your sweet baby boy as you check into the thread and tell us all about him!

Donna congrats on the weight loss, Alicia is excited for you-Jack and I are starting it next week when we get to Dallas!

Tina my weight also swings 20#. I have size 2, 4, 6, and 8 clothes right now. I have packed the 2s to take to my youngest daughter and see if there is anything she wants, anything she does not take will go to goodwill. I purged most of the 4s and just kept the stuff I would love to wear again. I fit into most of my 6s, but the 8s are more comfortable. Starting a new diet on Monday and hopefully I can embraced the 6s again and be comfortable by end of summer

Kenya the treat bags are adorable-very clever of you!

Dawna so glad you get to go to the card class and that you are feeling better.

Tracy have a great time with your mom, I would give anything to have my mom here with me now, I really do miss her...

Hi Lynn, don't you hate when that happens---sometimes sb.com is very frustrating.

Okay I am caught up on love and the first page is ACU too. One week in and we already have 6 gals who have completed the challenge-Way to GO ladies!

Finally have something to share:

Norma I am really pleased with the diet. I did have a slip but back on track. Can't wait to see Alicia and get my next order. Doug doesn't need to lose weight but he likes to have a shake on the weekends chocolate of course. My in-laws pool should be ready this weekend so I'm hoping to go swim everyday.

I did a layout this morning. I'll take a pic later. I'm trying to find a sketch for another.

Anna-it's Herbalife shakes-my daughter has lost 75 pounds in the last 18 months-you just supplement 1 shake a day and eat a sensible diet the other 2 meals plus 3 low cal snacks and add in some exercise. LOL-it's what the doctors tell you to do to lose weight the right way!

Anna I am 5 feet tall-that's it. I should weight about 110 lbs and I am 20# + over right now. I can see it in my face and in my butt, but mostly my abs. Right now I would be thrilled about weighing 120!

Looking forward o seeing your lo Donna.

Need to work on birthday cards-will try to start on them this evening and then finish them over the weekend.

DH comes home this evening, so we will relax and catch up on some DVR stuff tonight and then tomorrow we are going to dinner with his parents for DH's birthday

Thank you gals! We're excited, though I will be more so after this weekend when we finally get the crib up and decorate the nursary! My parents brought the crib with them as my dad built it for us. Currently the baby's room has been a storage room of all the goodies we've gotten for him so it'll be nice to make it an actual room!

Oh golly, Norma!! That seems so unreal to think about! But I will definitely make the time to check in after baby has arrived... tho it may take a little while! Glad to see you got your mojo back too!

TGIF for sure! I only have ONE more week of work and then I start my maternity leave!!! I really hope the baby doesn't come sooner... lol!

Dropping off my first one this month (and I may update it again later...) I used Campout on the trees, Base Camp on the title, Mother's Day bouquet on the flowers and I also used Going Places to make a little RV trailer, but I was too braindead last night to get it on there so when I do, I'll repost!

Donna congrats on the new program. I've been trying to be heather too and it's been working! But I've still got 15 lbs to go to get to where I'd like to be. Slow but steady wins this race!

Sonja, Don't think about leaving us yet! You'll find to time to check in with us and tell all about the new baby. We'll be waiting patiently till your ready to join us again. Besides that I'm sure with so many great moms on the tread, that baby advice will be easy to come by!

Norma have fun with those birthday cards this weekend.

Well I didn't make card class, not quite up to driving today after all. But DH took me to my hair apt so I do feel much better!

Have a wonderful evening ladies!

Good morning!

Norma, I have actually heard of Herbalife. I may check it out for more details. I'm 5'5" so I have a few more pounds to work with as far as the health chart goes. But....I am about 20 pounds over the health chart recommendation. Doctor told me in January to lose ten pounds by the time I come back in July. Lost five and gained them back already so I know I am in for a lecture when I go back. Growing up I never had a weight problem but in my older years it has become a big problem for me. And I am not a dedicated exercise person either which does not help matters any.

Dwana, not sure what is wrong, but I hope you feel better soon.

Hope everyone has a great day. This site is so darn slow!!!!! Very frustrating!

Good morning Anna,

And thank you for the well wishes! I'm not sure I've shared what I've been going through on this thread. Let's see, a month ago I started wining myself off pain meds to find out that after a decade of healing to a bad arm, I'm not in pain any more! So 4 weeks out, I'm off the ugly meds and still out of pain! The withdrawals have had me pretty far under the weather, but they are such a small price to pay for the wonderful spot I'm in today! Still struggling with restless nights, but this too will pass. I'm sure a few more weeks and I'll be feeling back to normal. So I'm doing the happy dance these days!

Morning ladies.

Here is the layout that I forgot to allow embedding:

Tulip Festival By Sunnydi

Here is #3 from me: I used Elegant Cakes for the Font, Spring Cottage for the tulips (borders/cutouts also) and My community for the fence. This pic is of my granddaughter Dori and I've been wanting to do a play on the word Adorable using her name so finally did.

Layout - "A-dori-able" By Sunnydi

I'm off to a craft class today to make a new style Mini Album..woohoo.

Well, didn't get much done today. I spent the majority of the day in bed with a migraine. I got up long enough to make a birthday card for a party we went to tonight but I barely got it finished in time to go so I didn't any pictures of it. I have a LO I did the other day so as soon as I get a chance, I will get a picture of it and get it posted!

No scrapping today. It's dh's birthday so I spoiled him this morning. Made him his favorite breakfast and then baked him a cake. We're getting together with family to take him out to dinner this evening.

Keep on scrapping and I will check back in when I get home!

Good morning ladies,

Your creations are looking wonderful! JCI and wishing you all a happy day! Still working on finishing up a 'Little Black Dress" mini album. My craft room looks like an explosion in a scrap shop! There is stuff everywhere! As soon as I finish up my mini, I'll have to get busy on my monthly challenges!

Good morning!

Glad to know you are pain free, Dwana! Best of luck with the rest of your recovery.

Have a great vacation, Lynn.

Norma, don't know how you managed to scrap, pack, and move. I would be so stressed if I had all of that going on at once!

I did get lots of scrappy time in this weekend but didn't use my cricut as much as I should have. Will post some layouts tonight when I get home.

Have a great day ladies!

Good morning. Trying to CU. Got moved into temp house and settled pretty quickly. Works well when you only have a few boxes to unpack and a house is waiting and furnished already for you. I am finding though that there is more I should have brought with us. My newest phrase is "shoot, it's in storage!" I've had to go buy a few replacement things.
Best part of the move- I got to have my entire family over for a bbq on Saturday night at "my house". First time in 10 years I can say that! So good to be around family.

Dawna- love that you are feeling pain free. I have a nerve condition that is constant pain and HATE to take pain pills on top of the other meds. I can only take it at night because I have to be a mom and function during the day, but it still makes me feel so lethargic and unmotivated when I am on it for extended days. I feel so much more with it and aware if I don't take it, but then I have so much pain it brings on migraines, limits what I can do etc. It's a catch 22. Needless to say I can feel your joy of feeling so much better!

Norma-I'm right there with you on this move and amazed that you are still crafting. You have to be exhausted. You go, girl!

Danielle- saw both of your 2 page layouts for the sketch challenge. Love them both.

Thanks Anna. Lisa, I feel your frustration with the pain meds. I put up with them for ten years! Fought them tooth and nail at first, then they finely got me on a liveable routine where I could function okay with them. Been that way for 6 years now, but I'm delighted that my healing time has finely come and I can get off them for good. Hope you have similar luck with your recovery too!

Hi ladies! sorry for the late check in, just now getting a moment to try to catch up on the thread. We left Houston this morning at 8am and arrived at noon. I spent the next 4 hours unloading and unpacking the boxes on the truck. Then I spent the next 2 hours at the grocery store. Then I cooked dinner for Jack and I and the girls who came over. They left a couple of hours ago but I have been vegging on the couch, I am tired!

DH and I decided to purchase many of the things we need for the Plano house instead of bringing them from Houston, Anything we don't want once we sell our house-WHEN we decide to sell we will give to the girls. For now the Houston house will pretty much remain as it is now. For now I am just bringing one room at a time of the items I want from the Houston house while keeping it as intact as possible. I am discovering that I own too much "stuff". The best part is that I am purging myself of many unwanted and unneeded items and since I only pack enough to fill the back of a pickup truck I am able to unpack everything beforeI leave for the next load.

And I decided that in order to keep myself sane have to give myself some "ME" time which means scrapping. I'm not getting as much done as I probably should but I have given myself until the end of July to get the decorative things I want from the Houston house to here and to make the Plano house to feel like a home.

I am having more furniture delivered tomorrow so I will catch up on the front page then while I wait for them to arrive.

Sorry for the novel.......

Hope ya'll had a great day, see ya'll tomorrow!

Afternoon ladies!

Norma, That sounds like a great way to move! Wish I'd had that option!

I'm sitting here waiting for the repairman to come look at my dishwasher, it's been making strange sounds. I hate waiting....I feel like I can't start on anything!

i have a fiskars trimmer and i love it. it's one of the best things i bought. plus the blades are cheap, super easy to replace, and sole everywhere.

Denielle,
I agree with Melanie, I have the same trimmer (older of course), but I LOOOOVE it! The blades are super easy to find and cheap. The extendable arm (once I figured out mine had one...) is easy to line up the 12x12 paper. The new ones come with a little wire in the middle where the blade goes so you can really line up your cuts. Easily one of my go-to items and a must have for every project!

Can't help you on the writing on stickers thing though... Sorry! Hope that helps on the trimmer tho!

I'm acu2h! Hoping to have my other two projects done by the end of this week...

Hi Danielle,

I use a wonderful cutter too. Mine is the Xacto 12 X 12 cutter. I've had it for many years and it cuts like a dream! Couldn't craft without it. The nice thing is it has a laser beam light that lets you line up your cuts perfectly. It's a bit pricer than the friskers, but the laser light assist is so worth the extra funds. I've never had to replace my blades either. I think it must be self sharpening, cuz I've had it for years now, and I still haven't had to change out the blades! Hope that helps you!
