Rainy here in West Texas today. We need a break from the 100+ temps we've been having.
I have some ideas too for my projects but like Lorna I need to finish my Texas swap first.
Martica, is it possible to sign up for a category more than once? Say, two entries in steam punk and vintage?

Yes you can join more then once in same group Pam would you like me to add you again....?

Okay so M's has canvas on sale. The ones marked value pack. Buy one get one free. Bought a pack of 2 that are est 11 x 17 (they are still in car since DH is home, LOL) then got a pk of 2 8 x 10 free. Then the small 4 x 4 were all sitting out in the middle of the store with such a selection that I could not make up my mind. They weren't on sale but I had a 10% off entire purchase coupon. So I got a pk of 4 blk easles, pk of 4 natural easles, pk of 4 flat blk canvas, pk of 4 flat wht canvas, pk of 2 1/2"thk wht canvas and the same in blk. I am only signed up for 3 groups, but now have 12 canvas and 8 easles that I can use. 12 step... Hello my name is Lorna and I am a craft shopping addict..... I figure I can use them for gifts too. Great for DH to take to the hospital and give to the sick children after I decorate them. All addicts have excuses for thier addiction.

Oh My Goodness, Lorna; I want to come shop at your house!

Good morning ladies,

I ordered my easel and canvas yesterday so I'll be all set. I wanted a black easel and canvas, but couldn't find them. So instead I decided on a burlap canvas and I'll paint my easel. That will work for steampunk! Really looking forward to this swap Martica!!! Have a great day my friends!

I am thinking that I need another spot somewhere to use some of these supplies. Wish some of you were closer, you could just come to my house and create. I love to share.

I have a great new set of retro stamps that I found at Tuesday morning a couple months back. Is anyone up to try that catagory with me? When I think retro.... I think old coke cola bottles, red, black, white squares, old juke boxes, hot rods and poddle skirts.

Lorna, that retro sounds awesome! I was thinking more along '70s . . . I think a '50s would be awesome. If that's the definition, I'm in for retro too!

Popping in quickly...

I'll take a spot in RETRO!! Is that like 70's style...like tye dye and peace signs???

I would love for there to be a 50's group Martica!! Like a 5 and diner type like I think Anna had mentioned!!! You know the classic cars, checkered table cloths, jukeboxes, poodle skirts etc...

That's funny because I'm 51 and my retro is the 50's. Maybe because I see pictures of my mom from that time and think that I was born in the wrong era. LOL

Sassie, Victorian is lots of pearls, lace and roses, colors burgundy, pinks and greens. Vintage is distressing and inking paper to make it look old usually the colors for vintage are the browns, beige and distressed colors. That is my interpertation thow.

Its going to be a ss swap and you can still join any group I will give out names tomorrow night.

You are in Shabby Chic, Inspirational and Modern now.

I use those photo boxes to gather my stuff for the swaps I'm in, and I started to pull stuff together yesterday. I'm in deep trouble -- I have a stack 6 boxes high and then two cigar boxes that are being altered for an elderly home "swapless" swap. I better get creating. Lucky for me I reorganized my "stuff" yesterday and found lots of goodies I had forgotten I had!!

Good morning!

I have NO idea what to do....never did a canvas and trying to figure out how to work with it. I'm thinking there is no point of working on a canvas if you are going to treat it like a chipboard...or do you? I'm confused....need to go find the links Martica provided.

Victoria, I'm not a 'steam punker' usually, but your canvas is stunning! Love the whole look you achieved!!!!

Later..
