A few days late... sorry everyone!

The Scrappy Supplies Hoarder, you know who you are! (And, be honest, we're all guilty of it at one time or another!) Do you have one or two (or more!) coveted papers or paper lines that you just can't cut into?! How about a pad of papers you haven't touched, but had to have? Do you have a special package of embellies you simply refuse to use? Well this challenge is for you! Your challenge is to step up, admit to your hoarded supplies and USE them!

*New Rules*
Here's what to do to enter:
1. Bite the bullet and create a page, card or project with a supply item (or two, or three) that you've hoarded for at least a year. Your hoarded 'supply' could be anything - embellishment, paper, an old Cricut cartridge you bought, but never used.
2. Post your project here for us to all cheer you and clap you on the back!
3. List the hoarded items you used with your post so we can go search our stash for them!

Note: This is a fun challenge and not meant for competition - just challenging us to use those most coveted treasures we've held onto and get a little love in the process! Feel free to enter at any time this month and as often as you like! We all spend our hard-earned money on fun goodies, it's time we used them!

I will do my best to keep the front updated with everyone's work, but don't let that stop you (I know, it didn't last month!) from continuing to create and break out your hoarded goodies!

Now, let's see those projects!

I'm in. I'm going to use some of my Cosmo Cricket Salt Air collection if it kills me. I also have some Jesse James buttons that are at least 3 years old that I'm going to try and incorporate.

I'm totally in again this month and already have 2 LO's I completed using stuff from my scrappy-hoard, lol!

Here They are.....

We've Only Just Begun... By Jamariel

Hoarded Items used
Basic Grey-Capella papers (2yrs old); Rub-on flourish (approx 4yrs old)
Metal Cross charm (2years old)
'Hope' Tile Sticker (3-4yrs old)
Prima flowers (4-5yrs old)
Heidi Swapp Acrylic heart (5yrs old)

and...

My Playful Little Fiona By Jamariel

Hoarded Items:
Paper-Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses, Cosmo Cricket Jolly By Golly & Bo Bunny Tis the Season-FaLaLa (2-3yrs old)
Specialty Paper-scalloped lace-like trim, (1-2yrs old)
Alphas-ADORNit, Jenni Bowlin & My Little Shoebox, (1-3yrs old)

Thanks so much for keeping this challenge going Sonja! It has truly inspired me to go through my stash and use up as much as I can of what I already have before I go out and buy NEW scrappy-stuff. Do whatever you need to keep this thread as simple as possible for yourself, I'm sure everyone will understand. I can only imagine what it's like for you w/a new baby right now. Bless your heart and I will be sure to keep you in my prayers.

Well, I thought that my Italy mini-book pages would count, but I've not been hoarding that Weekend Market for all THAT long.

But man it's hurting so BAD to CUT it!

Well....since you asked.

I'm doing them on an 8x8 format so that the book will be easy for my mom to hold. That's why all the flowers and bling look so BIG - because the pages are smaller than the 12x12 format I usually use.

I've gotten all the paper glue ups done in photographic sequence, but I haven't gotten the PAGES finished in sequential order, so it's going to feel a little hodgepodge.

Tour Guide

Yes, I got a hair cut in Italy. And yes, I have the photos.

Oh Pat, I'm gonna bend the rules there for you - especially since you've already admitted how hard it is to cut into those pretty Weekend Market pages! And your pages are SO pretty! LOVING the Italy photos too!! Keep 'em comin!

And way to start us off Jami!! Geeez all I've done is add to my already ridiculous hoard so far this month! I'm itching to get into my papers, but no time during the weeks and weekends fly by with all the to-dos I dont' get done during the week!! At this rate, Carlo will be in high school before I get to scrap his baby book!

I have made it a personal goal to start using up some of my stash.
ALmost everything on this layout is over a year old...some going way back to 10 years old!

I was bad!
I just bought a SB.Com kit!
I'm trying to get rid of my stuff and I buy more?!?!?
But I couldn't pass up the deal!
I have a code that changes the cost of the kit to $29.99 instead of the $35.00 it is, plus the alpha deal that's going on right now: "20% of off alphas and numbers" applies to the kit. I saved $7.00 just because of that! So grand total was less than $29.00 ($28 and some change) for the kit and that includes shipping!!!!

I got The "Wood FLoor" kit.
It's a couple of months old but I really wanted it when it came out! But I was waiting for an awesome deal like this because I really didn't want to pay, $35 AND S&H!

MORE from my hoarded stash.

I used the Weekend Market papers, but also pulled out some Prima Wood Clocks, some Prima fabric flowers, some hoarded ribbon, and some fabric brads that I've had for so long I forgot I even HAD them, but there were two that had sand dollar type flowers on them, so how could I NOT use them?

You're not the only one who is weak Doreen, I broke down and purchased a few things from here & 2 Peas just over a week ago! I thought*** I was about out of kraft cardstock, (was down to like 1 sheet), & everywhere I went locally was out of it too--so I had 2 order some & while I was at it I thought, why not order some black & white cardstock as well, which I'm also running low on. But then I come across a few other things, not that I really need but that I'd LUVVV 2 have, and since I'm using up more of my stash now...anyhow you can follow my train of thought I'm sure, LOL!!
So now I've added new papers from the BG Serenade & Aspen Frost Collections to my scrappy-hoard since I just had 2 buy more cardstock-***which I just realized the other day I still had plenty of in a number of past kits I had purchased back when I subscribed to the Vintage Chic Cafe Kit Club. They have been lying around in boxes for over a year & I finally decided to go through and sort them a couple nights ago!! Guess I'm not gonna be able 2 stop hoarding scrappy-supplies anytime soon after-all, LOLOL!!!!

Jami and Doreena - you seem to have the same disease I have - for every stash item I use I seem to replace with 2 new ones!
Truly though I haven't bought a thing in two weeks... that is a near record!

I am loving this challenge so much.. it feels so good to get out those hoarded items and finally use them. Each time a finish a lo that uses some I feel a little guilt fly away.

Tina I love your cards. Do you send those instead of or in addition to Christmas cards?

I know, no matter how much of my stash I use I just can't help myself when I fall in love w/something new. I'm not even actively looking to buy new stuff either, this happens when I just want to replace something I'm running out of, like cardstock, LOL! Before this month I hadn't bought any new scrappy-supplies in over a year-(other than adhesive and a couple albums I needed that I got @ Michaels). I'd hardly been scrapping until these last few months, but at least now I am using more of the stuff I've been hanging on to & buying less. I sincerely hope this challenge becomes a permanent resident of the forums here. Totally luvin' it!!

Another layout to share:
My Girl and Me By Doreena

Everything on here, except the letter stickers, is almost 3 years old. I even used an old punch, the Photo Corner punch, that have had in my stash, for over 3 years...I'm not sure how old it actually is. I haven't used it for a long time and it used to be my favorite!
Funny how that happens!

Here is a lo I just finished:

Play Fall Soccer By Justowen

Most of the things on this page are more than 6 mos old. However, the REALLY old stuff is:
1. The metal photo turns next to the title - definitely more than 8 years old
2. The soccer brad - no idea how old, but I've had them a very long time...for some reason, I have a hard time using them because of the gold color.
3. The slide mount(?) framing the little pic...definitely more than 8 years old! Those were very popular at one time and I have a drawer full of them, because I wasn't very good at figuring out how to use them.
4. The journaling circle - I've had for a couple of years, not a crazy long time.
5. The sticker on the circle - not sure how old, but I've had that sheet of stickers for several years.

For sharing since I used a lot of hoarded items:

Handsome By Doreena

Everything on here is old varying in years:
The "love" heart embellie is at least 10 years old. The giant green banner paper is at least 6 years old. The circle paper is at least 5 years old. The letter stickers are at least 3 years old. The sticker anchoring the heart and the "photograph date" journaling spot are at least 2 years old.

Oh this challenge is good for me... and for my scraproom. If we keep this up I might find out what is at the bottom of some of my storage.

This is one more I did this weekend that used about 80% + hoarded supplies. Especially the pp which I was saving for a lo for my grandpa - then I realized that I had two pieces of each of two patterns so I can still do that and got this one done too.

No longer hoarded items:
MME pp
clock face at top
clip
buckle
ribbons
twill
monogram letters
journaling ticket
metal label holder for title
