Sign up close: Jan 4th
Due date: Jan 25th
Return ship date: Jan 29th

This is a full kit swap using Kaisercraft's Secret Admirer collection. Use only the papers from that line or good quality coordinating card stock (Bazzil, ect)

The idea is that each person will chose a part of the kit and make one per participant in the swap. When it's done and swapped, everyone should have a full kit with lots of embellishments and personal touches to assemble however they chose.

Rules:

1. Use ONLY the pp from the Secret Admirer line. Use the actual paper, not scans, copies, etc. Use only good quality (Bazzil, etc) cardstock that coordinates with the colors in the Secret Admirer line. "Close enough" might not match someone elses "close enough"

2. Whatever item you sign up for, make one per person in the swap. If you sign up for multiple items and want to end up with multiple kits, let me know, or I'll still only count you as one. I will keep a count of participants at the bottom of this post.

3. Do your best. Clean cuts, securely glued. If you don't have the time/inclination/creative juices to create something homemade, we can add pre-made/no-fuss items upon request...such as 12x12 pieces of patterned paper, pre-made dies, etc. This collection has a lot of extras that would make great contributions.

4. Check in at least once per week, and follow through on your commitment in a timely manner. If your items are not received within 3 days of the due date, they will be sent back to you. Please don't flake...it's just not cool.

5. Send your goodies in a 12x12 baggie. You can put smaller items in a smaller baggie inside, but other peoples creations/contributions may be large, and I'd hate for your stuff to get damaged when being shipped back to you. Label the 12x12 bag with your screen name and the swap name. Include also a small baggie with a return label to you and the return postage, averaging $4.50 for 1 kit, $5.50 for 2, etc, or close to it. I will return extra postage.

6. In a padded/protective envelope/box large enough to hold 12x12 paper, ship your goodies to:
Kris Bayle
8080 Doyle Rd
Laingsburg MI 48848

7. Have fun. That's what scrapbooking's all about. Post your creations as you complete them, then others can coordinate/avoid duplicates.

Each item on the list includes the minimum expected...feel free to do more if you so desire.

Embellishements include, but are not limited to, paper piecing, stickles, gems, brads, chalking, distressing, inking, embossing, stitching, etc....but do not use stickers not included in the set.

You will also see "bump"...that means the same thing.

I would like to join and do the photo mat that is left with 2 embelishments.

I hope I understand this correctly. I make (for an example) 11 Photo mats that have 2 embelishments on them Using the paper in the kit. Now do the photomats all have to look the same? with the same embelshments?

Yes...you make 1 per participant (I'm keeping count at the bottom) and, no, they don't have to look alike. It's kinda handy if they don't actually...then the people doing more than 1 kit get different pieces

And welcome!

awe...it was all available last night And for the photo size, its kinda up to you. I think most people prefer 4x6ish, but we had one last time that was for cropped down pictures or wallets and it worked out fine, too!

That would be a good idea. I have nothing to compare the colors to but on here. Not sure that would be good enough though. I have lots of Brazil paper stock.

Look up the themes on here and you can get an idea of colours from the papers that's all I did.

Hi Kris,

Yes please.....I am from Australia, is that still O.K.?
I don't have US stamps for return postage, but I can paypal some money to you if you are ok with it. = )

I will be using a file folder pocket.....quite cute! = ) It is almost 5" x a little over 3" but I can make it bigger if you'd like.

Will be shipping this Monday as I am far away.

Cheers,

Jen

O.K. So I need a little advice ladies..... I have purchased Secret Admirer Stickers and a paper with the cards all on it. That was all I could get......(We don't get much choice in the way of scrapping here in Aus!) Since I couldn't make the mini folders out of paper anyway I chose Kaisercraft co-ordinating cardstock. I bought a couple of sets of the stamps from secret admirer, but I have a lot of stamps very similar to what is on their papers which they don't sell in their stamp set. I figure since I couldn't use the paper I would copy the paper design on the cardstock using stamps, embossing, SA stickers, die cuts and some of my stamps.
Here is the result of my first attempt. PLEASE be brutally honest! If this is not something you'd like to receive, let me know and I will try to do better and maybe go into the city to try to find some more SA papers. What do you think?

Here is another:

P.S. Obviously the tags are sticking out so you can see them in the pics, but they are meant to go inside the file folder.

I love the idea of the file folders. I'm one that rarely journals in my lo's because I don't like my handwriting. With these, I can journal like I should and not worry about ruining my page.

Visited the les at my sister's house and they didn't have either of the lines....time to place my order.

Hi all,

Thanks so much Teia, Artesha and Kris! I have finished all my little folders and you will find pics below. I hope you ladies all like them, they have been a lot of fun to make and every single one of them is completely unique. Have put them up against a SA paper and they really do fit in with the set, so I am really happy. I made 2 in each of 6 colours and 2 in each sentiment stamp.
Will be postal tomorrow so they get there in plenty of time.

Here are the other 10, the first two are pictured above;

Will ship on the 11th to you Kris!

Oh! I am so sorry Sandra! I love my pets too and I know how hard that is! Will say a little prayer for you and for Magenta.

Love,

Hi Kris,

JCI.

Oh.....did I mention I have posted mine already? Please keep an eye out for them. I sent them in a padded bag, so hopefully they will be safe.

As soon as you know the cost to post back to me, please let me know and I will paypal you some money. Another little favour please if you don't mind. They don't sell 12 x 12 envelopes in Australia! Can I add some money for you to purchase one of those for me too please?

Many thanks,

Jen

Here are the other 10, the first two are pictured above;

Thanks for all your kind words they are much appreciated.

I've got two matts to do and will be done. Now forewarning, there are some dark blue matts. There is a tiny bit of dark blue in the papers and I wanted to pull out the blue. Just incase you thought I'd lost it.

JEN - Are you being affected by any of the fires that are causing all kinds of havoc in your country?

BB shortly!!

Hi Sandra,

Thank you for asking, in a word, no, but the heat wave has been something else! Since I am ACU....now I can stop for a sec and tell you about my day.......
We had severe weather warning today, not like you get in the states, in reverse. We had a massive heatwave! They predicted 43 degrees (Celsius that is) and it was horrific! In my little shop with no airconditioning it got to almost 50 degrees! just in case some of you don't know C versus Fahrenheit that's 122 degrees Fahrenheit! I wanted to DIE! I was dying! OMG! When I was wiping down the counters, they were so hot, that my wet cloth would dry before I could finish wiping it! Some of my eggs, near the grill started cooking in their shells and the telephone handset felt soft and was almost too hot to use! I was so red in the face it looked like I was having a heart attack! ANd no wonder it was hot enough to really make your blood almost start to boil inside your body! I didn't need the hot water tap all day as the water out of the tap was almost scalding! If tomorrow is like that, I am closing....no way I am going through that again! More than half of our state is on fire too! Bushfire season is well and truly here, fortunately we are NOT affected by it where we are on the coast, but my heart goes out to those who are and I pray not too many farmers suffer or food will skyrocket!

O.K. So there's MY news for the day.....so......how goes the snow ladies? Lol! Seems so strange from one extreme to the other across the world!

OMG that is just crazy heat. I know it gets like that here sometimes in Texas, and we are in a drought and have been for a couple of years now, burn bans are in effect, and some farmers have moved their herds of cows to other states in order for them to survive. I much prefer the kind of day we're having today, dreary, cold and rain, hey I'm from Scotland, my kind of weather.

Stay cool as much as possible. You, yours and your countrymen are in my thoughts.

Thanks Sandra! I know I am just being a wuss puss....in Western Australia, that kind of heat is a nice regular summer's day, but in NSW it is atrocious! I'm a Goldilocks girl.....you know....not too hot, not too cold....just right! Lol!
