I have amassed quite the stash of both paper and digital supplies in the few years I have been scrapbooking.

In an effort to make my scrapbooking a little more organized and effortless I am starting this challenge to give myself (and others like me) an opportunity to set their own goals each month relating to organizing.

No signup necessary - just post some goals and cross them off as you go by editting your original post and then striking through the goals you get done. If you need to add more then do so.

so here is my first set of goals for 2013

1. organize my digital files by theme
2. get rid of any digital files I really don't like
3. set up my scrap space in my new apt after we move Jan 5

Not such a big list for me this month on paper but it will take some time to do all these.

Very cool idea!

I already started mine today...LOL

1> Order rest of 2012 pics
2> Organize what's left of my "old/hoarded" papers so that they are easier to dig thru
3> Complete my December Daily Book

Oops I guess #3 is not "organizational" is it?
Well, actually I think it is because once I get the rest of my 2012 prints I will need to organize my December prints into their correct album!

I would love to join this...I feel like I am always organizing and re-organizing. Here are my goals:

1. Clean the computer/future scrapping room.
2. Move all scrappy supplies to the computer room.
3. Organize papers in file cabinet.
4. Organize desktop so there is room for my tools and room to scrap.
5. Find a place for my stickers, brads, die cuts, chipboards, etc.
6. Basically, set up my scraproom! (Oh My!!)

Wish me luck!
Thank you so much for hosting this challenge...obviously...I need it!

Okay, I made some progress, even if it is out of order. Moved all the supplies to the computer room so that my bedroom looks like, well, a bedroom again.

I'm game for another one of your challenges, Tammy.

My goals for January:

1.) To consolidate my supplies to the ones I definitely plan on keeping and using and either toss or donate the ones I won't.

2.) To organize my kept supplies into travel friendly storage. DH and I are looking to purchase an RV in the upcoming months.

3.) Have a small tote bag of tools, adhesives, etc ready at a moments notice so I don't have to dig to find them anymore.

I got my pics in from 2012 (the last of them).
This means I have to work on my December Daily...yikes!
I made it as simple as possible and yet I am still overwhelmed!
I don't think I will do it next year...
IDK yet.
My kids enjoyed looking thru the pics so much I kinda still want to but the work of putting it together... not so much.
Maybe I can just take pics but not create an album then they get their pics(memories) and I don't get the stress!

DONE! Done done done! I still have a few things on the floor of my scrap room, but those few things are crop bags that normally live there so they're in arm's reach of my work desk and packed to go when I want to go crop at the shop.

But for NOW, my guest room is ready for guests and my scrap room is ready to scrap.

Goal #2 :

TAKE DOWN THE CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS. I've started this, but now that I can get to the guest room storage closet, I can get the Christmas storage boxes out and pack things away in them. I'm going to be SO happy by this time tomorrow!

I have one drawer that I refrained from labeling, since I have a feeling I'm going to put the items in another location.

I'm working on figuring out the papers and pictures for my SIL's album for one section.

Well let's see... I sort of organized the baby's photos... They're in a box by month at least, and not on our computer desk where they could get damaged. So I suppose that's a good start! Those other two goals are a year-long goal so I'll modify my goals as such:
2013 Goals:
1. Re-sort supplies downstairs with upstairs supplies
2. Make all scrappy supplies 'mobile baby' friendly!

January Goals:
1. Organize baby's first year photos
2. Take down and put away Christmas decorations
3. Make 6 new frozen baby foods - peaches, nectarines, mangos, green beans, plums and summer squash
4. Do all five Page Maps for the month: 1 of 5

There... that'll hold me for a while!

So far, I've gone through most of my supplies and I have a box going of stuff to toss/donate.

My main goal for 2013 should be to only buy what I plan on using and not buy everything I think I may need later.

Right now I'm working on finishing 4 shutterfly books by Wednesday. 3 are for gifts and one is for Ryan and I.

Hope everyone has a great week.

Guess What! This weekend I was thinking that it would be great if we could turn the extra space in our room into a hobby room instead of a bathroom but I didn't say anything to DH. Then, out of the blue yesterday, he suggested that I set up my scrapbook stuff in that spacd!! He is such a wonderful enabler. I am so lucky!

1. scrapbook the photos i have of my son when he was first born (I have done 1 layout so far but it is proving more emotional than expected to relive the memories of living in the NICU)
2. do not buy more paper until I make a dent in the hundreds of papers i currently have (revised to say until atleast April)
3. organize the hundreds of papers i currently have
4. organize my massive amounts of stickers
5. take more pictures of life (rather than just my son)
6. organize the 200+ photos i have printed
7. start using my hoarding stash (have used about 10 pages so far so i'm considering that a good start)

I was GOING to get on those cards today, but had a job interview instead.

I went over to Edmond to interview with the LSS there. She likes what I do, was really excited to add me to her staff, and sent me home with papers and product for five projects. TWO sets of papers aren't even in stores yet! They're NEW RELEASE Bo-Bunny from winter CHA and isn't even SHIPPING until the end of the month.

OMG OMG OMG! I am in SHEER heaven! I've NEVER gotten to play with "PRE RELEASE" papers before!

As much as I want to cut into them, I'm going to get my 2 cards done first. Delay that gratification for as long as possible!

Becky - No, I'm not doing my other classes. My boss had cut my hours so far back that it had gotten to where it wasn't covering my fuel to get to work, so I resigned.

This situation will be much better, I think. I only have to go in when I have a class and I can work it around my substitute teaching hours and my parents' needs.

Hi ladies! Well I have all of my photos uploaded to snapfish! Now to get them backed up to CD. Also placed a small order for some pics for 2010. So I am slowly working on this!

welcome Shan!! (and anyone else I missed - sorry checking in quickly)

Pat how very exciting - which store in Edmond (your in OK right?) I am on another thread with a bunch of Okies and I think they shop at a place in Edmond (something like that anyway)

The name of the store is Paper Arts. How cool is THAT - a group of Okies that scrap in Edmond. I'll be taking my first round of projects over there early next week.

I went to M's and got some more 12 x 12 plastic paper holders. I use them to store incomplete projects when I get distracted by a new project. Bonus: they were on sale. This week's goal: figure out the papers needed for my SIL's album so I can use up the A's giftcard. I have a feeling I'm going to go over budget...

OK. Completely got my organization twisted around. Moved stuff to computer room then hubby decided I could use the space in our room that was going to be the bathroom. So, moved the stuff into that room. Today, we are going to move it out and put down a carpet remnant! Then, move the stuff make in. Wow! All this moving is taking away from my scrappy time. I need to create.

I need to change my list a little bit. Even though I cleaned up the computer room for my scrappy stuff, I am now taking scrappy space in the bedroom. DH has laid carpet and this weekend he's putting in a new ceiling. Then, we'll move in a desk we have in storage. So excited!

CRAPOLA.

I'm not making my Goal #4 anytime soon.

I added the Swirlydoos Ultimate Design Challenge to my plate. It's a six-week Designer Challenge with a pretty cool prize and DT opportunity. It's providing me with inspiration GALORE while at the same time seriously kicking my hind parts to hither and yonder. There are SO many talented participants. I've really had to step up my game! I passed the first round (I have no idea HOW, but I'm grateful), and I'm working on my week 2 of 6 which is a "multi-layered" layout.

I'm scrapping a photo of my sister and me from Italy for my project this week, and it's going to be taking up most of my free minutes. I substituted at the Elementary school yesterday, then will again this Friday, I have a class on Thursday, and my project is due on Saturday. Not too much wiggle room in terms of time, but I wanted to pop in and tell you that if you don't see me this week, not to worry.

In the immortal words of Arnold, "I'll be back."

Very cool idea!

I already started mine today...LOL

1> Order rest of 2012 pics
2> Organize what's left of my "old/hoarded" papers so that they are easier to dig thru3> Complete my December Daily Book

Goal #2 completed!

Procrastinating on my 3rd goal!
Yes...I admit it!
I have nothing holding me back...just don't want to do it, LOL!

Way to go Doreena! I don't think I have hardly made a dent into what I wrote, but I am getting other things done that I have been procrastinating on. Does that count?

no worries ladies - this isn't meant to be a high pressure thing - it's more a list for you of the things you want to get done - other things are going to get in the way - but look at what you have done already!

I would like to be in on this challenge/goal group this month!

1. Relabel my rolly bins. (I reorganized them since we moved.)
2. Clear off the 2nd table in my room.
3. Get all the pictures and papers figured out for my SIL's album before 1/25. (DH and I will be taking a road trip and I can use my A's gift card!)

I have one drawer that I refrained from labeling, since I have a feeling I'm going to put the items in another location.

I'm working on figuring out the papers and pictures for my SIL's album for one section.

I made nice little paper/photo packets with sticky notes of what I needed to get when I went to A's and got my goodies. I also went to Anchor paper spent $70! I think I'm set on paper for a while!

ok one goal I did get done in January that is not on my list was....all my photos are backe up off my computer!!!! Yeah!

Ok....here is my revised goals for February.
I am omitting some from January....putting them on the back burner.

1. Order at least 2x's for 2010...finish in March.
2. Upload remaining photos for 2012 online for future ordering.
3. Try and that means really hard...to get 10 layouts done for my mil's heritage album. She will recieve this album in April as a birthday gift.

Ok...I think that's enough for now! Hope it's ok to change my mind and re-evaluate some of my goals.

I got my desk cleaned off and put more stuff on it. My plan was to work in my room, and then DH freaked out about our taxes and I was derailed trying to find the deductions for the year. sigh.
