The Scrappy Supplies Hoarder, you know who you are! (And, be honest, we're all guilty of it at one time or another!) Do you have one or two (or more!) coveted papers or paper lines that you just can't cut into?! How about a pad of papers you haven't touched, but had to have? Do you have a special package of embellies you simply refuse to use? Well this challenge is for you! Your challenge is to step up, admit to your hoarded supplies and USE them!

*Rules*
Here's what to do to enter:
1. Bite the bullet and create a page, card or project with a supply item (or two, or three) that you've hoarded for at least a year. Your hoarded 'supply' could be anything - embellishment, paper, an old Cricut cartridge you bought, but never used.
2. Post your project here for us to all cheer you and clap you on the back!
3. List the hoarded items you used with your post so we can go search our stash for them!

Note: This is a fun challenge and not meant for competition - just challenging us to use those most coveted treasures we've held onto and get a little love in the process! Feel free to enter at any time this month and as often as you like! We all spend our hard-earned money on fun goodies, it's time we used them!

I will do my best to keep the front updated with everyone's work, but don't let that stop you from continuing to create and break out your hoarded goodies!

Now, let's see those projects!

I created a layout in anticipation for this thread:

Resolutions By Doreena

Just about everything on here is at least 2 years!
I even used all scrap paper (except for the BG piece).

This is one of my scrappy goals this year, to use more of what I already have, so I'm sure I can come up with a couple...but I can already hear the new papers from winter CHA calling my name

Thanks for hosting again, Sonja. I need this one.

Ok, I used vellum that has been in my stash since 2001. I used the Core paper that I had for 2 years. The Vellum quote is one that I had for 3 years or more.

LOL you gals are fast!! Love that you anticipated this challenge and already did a LO, Doreena! (and I think I have that exact same BG paper... was it from a kit?)

I agree, Tammy, I have so much vellum, but never use it cuz I never know how to! That's such a cute idea too Heather!

Fab pages, gals! Glad this challenge appeals to everyone! That's one of my NY resolutions too... USE what I HAVE!
I'm with you tho, Tena... I hear Expo goodies calling my name too!

Hi Sonja...the "old" (hoarded???they are just old-fashioned!)) item is the hand sticker in the circles....they are definitely from the late 90's although I think you can still purchase them today....In the early years I probably used them on every baby LO!..

I bought a lot of vellum when I was just starting out and not really knowing styles or techniques. After that I went through a period of not liking it. But I realize that I can actually make it work on layouts and even cards sometimes. So, use that vellum, girl! Lol!

I have so much older paper that I've got to dig in to. Dec got away from me- so January I've got to get to work. I've barely done a LO a month for too long.

BTW- I started a monthly Book of Me challenge- please feel free to join in:

Here's one from me.

One of my resolutions for 2013 is : USE IT INSTEAD OF STASH IT!

Hoarded Stash :
1. Prima Wood Clocks. I have two more packages, but I'm trying to USE them instead of STASH them.
2. The big Prima florals. I bought something like 3 cans of these at a Peachy Cheap deal, way back when I first started scrapping. I still have about a dozen left, but I'm trying to USE them.
3. The blue Kaisercraft blooms. They came from a Swirlydoos kit and were so pretty I could not bring myself to use them.
4. The paper - especially the polka dot, which matches some other Christmas line that I've been hoarding to "do" something with.
5. The ric-rac die. I've had it a month and haven't used it until this project.
6. The embossing powder. It's Aged Aqua by Stampendous. It's incredible stuff - gives a antiqued metal look to anything you put it on. I just HATE to use it because I'm afraid I'll use it all up, but if that happens, I can ALWAYS get some more of it from my LSS.

The project is my cover page for my Project 2013 album.

Wow! I miss a week and look what happens?
You folks have been going full steam ahead!

I scrapped this weekend and both los are made with ancient stash. For this one I purchased the pps back when I was pretty new to scrapping with the intention of using them for my ds' album. Well that took a few years (about 7) but it's done at last.

Hoarded: Making Memories paper and the BasicGrey Epoxy stickers although those are practically new - I've had them for just a couple of years. : )
Imp By GMFTS

The pp I used here came in a prize pack from Scrapjazz quite a few years ago. I started the lo about 2 years ago and just couldn't get it to work - unfortunately I had used very good adhesive to attach the white pp and also cut out a big chunk of the aqua base behind the white so I really couldn't move it. So I finally just accepted the limitations and made a lo. Another for my ds' album.

I'm back in this one! I still haven't found my camera cord, so I haven't uploaded my LOs from last year. I'm going to keep using up my stash of papers for my SIL's album. I'm *hoping* to make some cards this month too. My priority is to get the album done.

I've run into a problem with her album, since I only have 3 sheets of G45's Le Romantique collection and it would work really well for the photos of us getting ready for the wedding. I didn't buy enough of it, and have to find something else that would work. Maybe the new line, Ladies' Diary would work? Any suggestions? It doesn't help that I made an awesome LO that it the first page of the new section would be across from either. No pressure there for me!

I don't know why I have never joined the challegnes here so I'm finally giving it a go!

The layout I created included two papers that I have been reluctant to use for close to two years - the striped paper from Cloud 9 Designs and the paisley paper from paper Studio. No idea why I have been holding on to them so dearly but I am determined to make an effort this year to use what I have (in addition to new acquisitions of course - ha ha!)

Oh goodness I am SO behind here!!!

First off... HI MICHELLE from New Zealand!! Of course you can join, we don't actually have sign-ups, you just start posting and chattering as you are able! (Obviously, since I haven't checked in or updated the front in a week! Oops... )

Second, WTG everyone!! Looks like almost everyone has submitted at least one page/project/item! I have one done, just haven't had the time to photo it and post it. I'll get there... eventually!

Third, I'm off to update the front... this may take a while!

Yipppee, finished spreading my love around now to do some scrapbooking. So many memories to scrap never enough time in the day due to e only really beginning scrapbooking I wanted to ask how does everyone choose their photos. For instance do you do one LO of an older photo from years ago then do a LO from a more recent time or do you just wing it and do whatever. Would love to hear your thoughts.

Here is one I have done for two other challenges but managed to use some pp and ribbon that has been in the stash too long. I had fun doing this one because these are my kind of colors.

Ribbon - I purchased because it came in so many pretty colors and have hung on too because they never seemed to be just right..finally got one piece used.
Papers - 2 were sent to me for the ugly paper challenge but the rest are fairly old.

For instance do you do one LO of an older photo from years ago then do a LO from a more recent time or do you just wing it and do whatever. Would love to hear your thoughts.

I tend to jump all over. I scrap whatever I'm in the mood to do. I get bored scrapping the same type of photos like a vacation or family event or even my dgds so I just mix it all up.

Michelle, I tend to just scrap photos in no particular order, I tried scrapping chronological when I first started but that didn't work for me. My DD was starting HS (13) when I started scrapping and is now 26 so I go back and forth...but I have scanned all the old photos that were not digital to preserve them so that when I'm ready to scrap them I don't have to worry about the photos...sorry for the book response LOL.

I've scrapped a couple of hoarded projects this weekend. I'm waiting for stickles to dry on one.

Then I have to photograph them and load them and then post them.

I'll be back later! :-D

Do you have any idea how HARD it was to cut into that Bo-Bunny MamaRazzi paper? Seriously? I thought I was going to pop a blood vessel.

Also the flowers are OLD stash - used up both packages, I THINK. I didn't find any more in my "opened flower packages" drawer. And the Thickers letters - those have been in my drawer for-like-ever. They came from an old Peachy Cheap deal. When PC puts those Thickers up on sale, I buy LOTS of them, so I always have plenty of them to use.

Anyway - here's my hoarded project.

No scrapbooking for me tonight as I now have the aches and pains all over and I start back to work at 4.30am in the morning. I'm in my pjs and in bed and it is only 6.45pm

Michelle - I tned to try to keep up with events in the current year (but I haven't in 2012) by getting each month's layouts done in the following month - then when I have time I scrap whatever I want (although I must confess I am hoping to have all Christmas past layouts done in the first 6 months of this year) I have a lot with 2 kids being 30 and 27 and my own from childhood.

I scrap whatever inspires me(past or current). If I don't do it that way I get bored and scrapping becomes a chore.

Thanks. The photo was taken last May at my BIL's wedding. We just got the print last week. I guess nobody was in a big rush to get the prints back.

DH doesn't put on a tie very often. I had to take advantage.

Warning: this post is regarding a personal problem u may not want to read

Thank you Tracy so much for all your kind words and thoughts. My 15 year old is normally great but she has very low self esteem of herself and after a major incident on Monday night and having to talk to her about it she threatened to commit suicide. So of course alarm bells rang as in our area suicide is very common and Nicole in the last 6 months has been to 2 funerals of people who have died because of this with only one being last week. Also her auntie has attempted this many times and more recently her cousin has tried twice. I rang the local suicide hot line and was told to remove all sharp knives, medicine and keys and keep an eye on her. I managed to stay awake till 1am and then had to get up at 4am to get up and milk the cows. Luckily she had a friend around which kind of helped but was also a problem to. In the end she was ok but then wouldn't talk to me all day and refused to stay the night here last night which really hurt. So I txt her to try and start a line of communication. After awhile she replied and even though we haven't spoken in person at least we have some lines open. There is a long road ahead of us all but with the support of my family, friends and people on here we will get there. Thank you so much for the support and reading.
Love

Michelle sorry you are going thru this with your daughter. Teen years are the worst! I now have 2 adult boys and one 17 year old. I hear girls are harder and I can't imagine cuz DS1 about put me over the edge. Hugs to you and prayers that things are better soon.

well I have hoarded this stuff for a reason...waiting for grandson to get big enough to go to the dentist--then I could use all of this cute dentist stuff! I've had it a couple of years if not longer!!!

Evening everyone, have just finished catching up. Have been in bed all day with the aches and pains but have to work tomorrow and the next 3 days after that as our senior farm worker has his days off. I got two new cricut cartridges in the mail today and I want to try them out but think its better to have an early night rather than do some scrapping
