This is Round 6 of this challenge which is dedicated to finding inspiration right where it lives: in the sb.com gallery.

This site has a such a wonderful gallery brim full of inspiration for every scrapper, card-maker or whatever. How much do we take advantage of it? Well we are about to find out.
Here goes:
*Your creation will be a lift of an item from the gallery that inspires the person after you.
*Anyone can play - layouts(paper & digi) and cards are accepted. Entries must be newly created this month please.

The person who signs up immediately after you chooses your inspirational item and posts it here.
In order to be added to the front page as a participant you must post the lo/card or both that the person before you will lift within 24 hours of expressing your desire to participate. If you do not do this in the time specified you will not be added.

******NEW WITH THIS ROUND: when selecting an inspiration for the person before you don't go to their favs - let's get each other out of our comfort zones.*****

Once you have your inspiration create your inspired lo and/or card and post it here. (don't forget public embedding).

*When you sign-up indicate whether you are doing a layout, a card, or both. (Yes you can participate in each category).

*Deadline to post entries is February 23rd*

*On February 24th VOTING begins. PM me your top 3 choices in card or lo category (6 votes total). Please give me the name of the player whose lo or card you are voting for. Each voter gets a vote. If you do the twist you get an extra vote so please note in your PM if you did so or not.

*Top 3 in each category will go to a public poll .

*Sign-ups till February 1st.

And is there a twist?

Well of course there is - good for both cards and layouts too.
Yes it is the month for Valentine's so let's see some LOVE - the twist is to make it love for someone or something unusual - ie not for your family or honey... I want to see what else in your life you love.

And if you are anti-Valentines how about Groundhog day? Are you a lover of winter and hope that it sticks around? Are you already reading seed catalogs and planning your garden? With this twist you can show your favorite activities in winter or those you are looking to come with spring.

As always please love for your co-players.

Have fun and get inspired!

Olesya, I'm glad you like it. I had a little look in your Gallery and I could see you prefer the non-fussy look. I know this is a challenge, but it's no fun if you hate the original.

What gorgeous selections everyone. I'm off to leave some love in ALL their galleries. I can see some more lifts than just mine in my future...

I don't think I could survive scrapping without a circle punch. In fact I have three! I have no machine so bigger circles than two inches are a pain and I've found my scissor skills are the same as when I was a third grader!

This sounds fun. So, if I sign up, I'm choosing a lo and card for the person above me? And then whoever signs up after me will choose what I lift?

This is the lo I found in the gallery I chose,

Mostly I don't buy what I say I "need", I just make do with what I have. Well maybe sometimes.....

I don't think I could survive scrapping without a circle punch. In fact I have three! I have no machine so bigger circles than two inches are a pain and I've found my scissor skills are the same as when I was a third grader!

I'm trying to convince myself I don't need circle punches! About a year ago I snatched a Creative Memories set on the local craigslist for a pittance (okay, twenty). with circles, ovals, star, large octagon, a couple antique blades, two border cuts, and some other goodies. the circles start at 1, 1 1/4, 1 1/2 then 2, 2 1/4, 2 1/2. So you see, I really need a 1 3/4 punch LOL)))

Anyway, scalloped circles punches first. Nestable EK is a piece of ********, went back to the store, replaced with plain 1" scalloped circle. want a 2" and a 1 1/2. watching the craiglist again LOL)))

Thank you Carol for picking such a fun layout to lift. It was a challenge for sure, and I so do not do the original justice - but it was FUN!!!

My LO is finished.

Inspiration:
One and Only *Studio Calico December Brooklyn Flea kit* By Scrapnic

My take - it's about DS's love of bubble wrap and boxes. We had received a present of glassware shipped to us and DS had a field day playing with the box and bubble wrap. Oh and I LOVED watching him have so much fun (does that count for the twist?)

Bubble Wrap & Boxes By Pugs223

I know it doesn't look much like the original, except for maybe the top and bottom border idea...oh and the & in the title. But it really did help me figure out how I was going to do this LO that I have been wanting to do for a while.

Wowsers, Sally! You are really going to stretch my abilities with those! Funny thing, it shouldn't with my other major addiction to anything fabrics. Gorgeous inspirations, thank you!

I see that there have been some busy scrappers here in the last few days. Aren't weekends wonderful?

Regarding the voting and poll for the last round. I have had to skip the poll and go right to the winners because I couldn't get a poll to post properly even though I tried many times both yesterday and today.

Because in each category the top entries had quite a few votes more than the others I declared those to be the winners.

Here is the link to the non-poll.

I wish I could say that I was busy scrapping, but yesterday was hubs' 55th birthday and I had the family and good friends over for dinner. I didn't get much help, so I cleaned up a lot, cooked, prepped, and cleaned up after. I didn't sit down at my computer until after 10:30 pm. I can't wait for a few days to get caught up. So glad we have lots of leftovers so I won't have to cook for a few days, lol!

I had this same issue last night until I discovered Megan's tutorial! You have to post the layouts in the post then create the poll using text only. It can't contain links. So where you enter each choice you can only list title and pic has to be above in message and not in poll. Hope tat helps for next time!

Rosie - the poll never happened. I couldn't get it to set up correctly so I made an 'executive' decision and declared the winners based on the top votes from this group.

The winners are on the front page here.

Found it! Just realized that when I had dh wipe out my computer and re-set it up, that I lost my bookmarks and I have a special bookmark button for my challenges and I can't remember which ones I signed up for this month..this is the only one I remember and I couldn't find it at first!

Off to see what you've all been doing!

I save my challenges under favorite topics....you can click save to favorite topics down below under Topic Options...then I remove them after the challenge is over....that way if something happens to my computer that info is right here on SB.com.

I just drowned my beautiful pink and white lo in a cup of coffee. It's all ruined. It was almost done..just trying to decide whether I wanted to add a flower in a corner and as I was thinking of that, I took a sip of coffee and when I set my coffee cup down on the coaster (which I never keep my coffee on the coaster down here, I usually have my bottle of water there, but dh brought me a cup of coffee and put it on the coaster) I apparently set the cup half on the coaster and it spilled all over my lo and all the supplies I had piled on the desk. I just want to totally cry. I have the coffee all cleaned up, but I think there is no possibility of saving the lo.

I know, I "shouldn't" have drinks on my desk, but over all these years, it's only the 2nd time I've had a problem and the other time, I don't think it involved a lo, just a messy desk. I knew when dh set down the cup of coffee on the coaster that I should move it off the coaster, but I thought it wasn't a big deal. Now I know it apparently is a big deal.

Okay, whine/rant over. Back to work and seeing if anything is salvageable or if I'm just going to have to start with a new idea.

Oh no Jenny! I did that a couple of weeks ago but with tea luckily I was doing a distressed layout so it just added distressing. A bunch of photos were soaked but I was able to dry them out! I hope you can salvage a bunch of stuff.

Thanks, Tayrah. I was able to salvage the pic and it's matting...I don't think it got hit...not sure how it didn't. The only other thing I could save was the metal charm I had stitched on. Unfortunately, I don't have the supplies to redo the lo like I had it before, so I'm going in a totally different direction for the "feel" of the lo. It'll be fun to do, too, but I wish I could do it this way and still have the original lo, too....it was a girly-girl lo and this is going to be more of a pre-teen/teen feel, I think.
